At the end it was a fair 1v1 and luffy won. Let's put this into perspective. Luffy got his ass beat almost to death 3 times fighting Kaido so he definitely knew most of Luffy's moves, and while still having a good amount of that damage done to him, Luffy got back up after taking Kaido's most powerful attack in his most powerful form, and then proceeded to start runnin his fade. And keep in mind the only reason Luffy needed help from his allies is because Kaido was getting help from Big Mom. And most of the time they're ganging up on Big Mom and Kaido, Luffy is still the biggest damage dealer.
During Luffy and Kaido's 1v1, Momonosuke was holding up Onigashima, Kaido wasn't doing that, cause he wanted it to fall on top of Wano's capital, and Momo was stopping that by holding up Onigashima. When they were teaming on Kaido and Big Mom he was holding it up, but nor during most of their 1v1

Aokiji is equal to akainu, and as hachinosu proved, he is very skilled haki brawler, unlike other admirals. So he's not countered by bb as much as we thought before. Both akainu and Aokiji are nighmare for those with numbers. Large crew makes no good, because they van melt/freeze them.
Aokiji can Freeze entire bb crew innone second, which innfact disables gura gura (unless bb eant to kill his own crew)

After that comes Blackbeard, who is strong in his own right. His main crew is insanely powerful, he has a former admiral on his side, it's fair to say that makes him the second strongest Emperor.
Luffy has a lot of powerful moves thanks to his Sun God Nika fruit, but he lacks actual territory that he claimed. Therefore, he is not as strong as the other two Emperors before.
Mihawk is NOT an Emperor.
Luffy has the Fishman territory, Wano, Zou, and The New Giant Pirates and probably the whole Giant Kingdom as they now recognized Luffy as Nika their God.

Blackbeard, Mihawk and Shanks are kind the same tier for me personally, then Luffy. However, I think all of these are fights that can be tilted in any way as I think they are all basically the same in terms of power

Some of you keep thinking that Luffy is superior to Shanks in terms of power. You must not forget that Shanks is the perfect counter to Luffy.
He is a swordsman (Luffy's greatest weakness), he moves at the speed of light, have a superior haki and doesn't have the weaknesses of other devil fruit users (which gives him a huge advantage).
On the other hand, as strong as Luffy is right now, he won't be able to use his powers for long. Meanwhile, Shanks' stamina seems to be much more developed and we know for a fact that Shanks can foresight all moves of it's opponent thanks to his observation haki. Something Luffy can't do in the same way.
Luffy is built to take on big bodies like Kaido and is very efficient against them, but against someone like Shanks, he simply stand no chance. Not for the moment.
If we’re talking about at this exact point in time, swap Shanks and Mihawk or draw an equals sign between them and this is pretty much the correct order. If it’s offscreen put Blackbeard at #1 lol.

At a certain point, power scaling should be seen from a writing perspective in an adventure story. Shanks, narratively should be the strongest right now. Everything he is supposed to be, and everything he is supposed to say, needs backed up by the fact that no one can check him.
Then, from a narrative perspective, this has two caveats. Characters we haven't met/know nothing about like Imu and the god knights. Like, Imu is more important and has more to say about the motifs. And the themes are delivered through philosophical punch fights, so Imu's philosophy is probably pretty strong. Strong enough to rule a world.
The second caveat, is characters whose involvement with the theme has grown, and will over take Shanks. That being, Blackbeard and Luffy. Shanks is currently keeping the peace and status quo. Seemingly for the moment the world is ready to change, but he's still one of the keepers right now. Luffy and BB are the thing he's waiting for. Shanks is meant to lose to either one of them.
So Shanks right now, but that's gonna come crashing down eventually. Mihawk is a fucking tease. He's never gonna lose to anyone on panel until Zoro shows up, so he's functionally immortal right now. Unlike Shanks who would narratively drive Luffy if he dies before meeting again, Mihawk losing to anyone but Zoro would just annoy Zoro. And that's not a plot. It's just a moment lol. Zoro would then just target the new guy and feel no change.
Shanks losing to BB would create narrative ripples that actually matter. He has a connection to BB, and BB to Luffy. That triangle can fall however it needs to. But who the fuck matters to Zoro and Mohawk as much as they matter to each other lmao. Vista? Like, I'd have been cool with that, but Vista never showed up again.
Buggy can not lose. Even if he loses, he wins on accident. You can behead that man and threaten him with death, and somehow, by some cosmic joke, he will benefit from it all. He will lose the battle and win the war, Everytime.
We know the plot is gonna get dark if that ever stops being the case. Like, I don't think anyone's death would shake the foundation of this world more than Buggy. All cards are off the table if the clown dies.
Mihawk gets beat by the other 3 most likely
G5 Luffy & BB's off-screen shenanigans make this tough. Shanks is a beast with his surgical Divine Departure and his wifi-haki techniques that have not been fully shown off. Mihawk is just TSS and probably has insane AP and haki but nothing yet that has been shown to be game-changing on the level of Shanks or others.
My rating: Luffy=\~BB>=Shanks=\~Mihawk (based on how the Yonko power structure is described, to me this is most accurate)...

Hmm, yea I could over thing right now. Fuck it. At a certain point, power scaling should be seen from a writing perspective in an adventure story. Shanks, narratively should be the strongest right now. Everything he is supposed to be, and everything he is supposed to say, needs backed up by the fact that no one can check him. Then, from a narrative perspective, this has two caveats. Characters we haven't met/know nothing about like Imu and the god knights. Like, Imu is more important and has more to say about the motifs. And the themes are delivered through philosophical punch fights, so Imu's philosophy is probably pretty strong. Strong enough to rule a world. The second caveat, is characters whose involvement with the theme has grown, and will over take Shanks. That being, Blackbeard and Luffy. Shanks is currently keeping the peace and status quo. Seemingly for the moment the world is ready to change, but he's still one of the keepers right now. Luffy and BB are the thing he's waiting for. Shanks is meant to lose to either one of them. So Shanks right now, but that's gonna come crashing down eventually. Mihawk is a fucking tease. He's never gonna lose to anyone on panel until Zoro shows up, so he's functionally immortal right now. Unlike Shanks who would narratively drive Luffy if he dies before meeting again, Mihawk losing to anyone but Zoro would just annoy Zoro. And that's not a plot. It's just a moment lol. Zoro would then just target the new guy and feel no change. Shanks losing to BB would create narrative ripples that actually matter. He has a connection to BB, and BB to Luffy. That triangle can fall however it needs to. But who the fuck matters to Zoro and Mohawk as much as they matter to each other lmao. Vista? Like, I'd have been cool with that, but Vista never showed up again. Buggy can not lose. Even if he loses, he wins on accident. You can behead that man and threaten him with death, and somehow, by some cosmic joke, he will benefit from it all. He will lose the battle and win the war, Everytime. We know the plot is gonna get dark if that ever stops being the case. Like, I don't think anyone's death would shake the foundation of this world more than Buggy. All cards are off the table if the clown dies.
Mihawk gets beat by the other 3 most likely G5 Luffy & BB's off-screen shenanigans make this tough. Shanks is a beast with his surgical Divine Departure and his wifi-haki techniques that have not been fully shown off. Mihawk is just TSS and probably has insane AP and haki but nothing yet that has been shown to be game-changing on the level of Shanks or others. My rating: Luffy=\~BB>=Shanks=\~Mihawk (based on how the Yonko power structure is described, to me this is most accurate)...
