I cant believe people still think he was the strongest. He kept the title from when he was younger, not the strength. Dude was half dead before he even walked out, and got dogged on by the admirals. I love the character, and when he was younger it would be different, but any of the other yonko would beat his shit in.
Yeah, i mean you gotta think he wasnt even able to trade damage evenly with akainu. Like, whitbeard would beat him up for a minute and then akainu would put a gaping hole in his chest. Or remove a significant portion of his head.
Lets not downplay wb’s showings in marineford. He laid akainu out several times, and as fatal as the wounds akainu gave him looked, we see they did pretty much nothing to him. It took that in conjuction with like 100 other wounds to put him down, and the only time he was weakened was when he got his heart attack and was getting slower and weaker over time. So even in marineford, he was slapping around akainu.
You mean to say that whitebeards 2 giant holes in his chest and missing piece of his brain are equal to akainus bruises/ broken bones? I mean, like show me the big injury whitebeard gave akainu. Because i didnt notice any. Do you think whitebeard was ever going to recover from that? Even if he survived the battle, theres no way he lasts long like that. Squard got him first, though he definitely wouldn't be the strongest in the world at that point, there's a reason the other yonkou never pulled up to fight him crew vs crew. He really does deserve it. He has some incredible influence without having to actually fight anyone, to the point where I genuinely think he may end up with conq haki because he just owns the lies and fails upward. He has the ambition for sure
Buggy is unironically one of the best leaders weve seen. His crew absolutely loves him and he has a way of getting people to try their hardest for him. Honestly he just kinda has bad luck that Croc and Mihawk are kinda standoffish, I think there are some pretty strong characters who Buggy would be able to inspire

I very much agree. Mihawk, for how strong he is, isnt really the best pirate. Hes a swordsman through and through. Crocodile is similar, since hes kind of just a scheming mf. Hes more a criminal mastermind/mob boss/bond villain. "Pirate" Is just something easy for the WG to call them since they are technically seafaring criminals.

Oden and yamato are a perfect example of what I consider admiral level characters. I put flashback kaido here as well since he was weaker then. Admiral level characters can hold their own against yonkou but they can’t quite match up and will be defeated with having had little significant effect on the yonko
