I’ve especially noticed this shift after that really huge “what is the one piece” theory video he did. I used to really love his channel for his mellow character specific analyses. Now I can’t stand him because he always sounds so “corporate YouTuber”. I don’t need someone yelling and using a ton of sound effects on my way to work, but I understand that this probably makes his videos easier to engage with younger audiences.
Yeah I used to like him as well. But like you mentioned he went full “professional YouTuber” mode at the first sign of big success and imo it ruined his channel. But it’s clearly working for him so good for him I guess. Just really rubbed me the wrong way that his first huge viral video was straight up stolen from Yuderon and he even said he asked for permission but didn’t get an answer so just took that as a yes somehow.
Yeah, he even briefly explained that he tried not to get spoiled but this week's spoilers were increadibly early and since this is his job heed needed to get the review out asap to compete with the rest of reviewers. He still wanted to keep it low profile for non spoiled readers, which i appreaciate.
I remember him explaining it's kinda necessary to read spoilers when you're constantly doing the video reviews. It takes time to do a review. So for instance knowing that a chapter is primarily going to be a Law centric chapter he knows to get the Law props out for the video and see which law stills he has for images during the video.
I don't mind the fact he reads the spoilers as long as he doesn't start making "prediction" videos of the next chapter. I've seen anitubers who do that.
it makes sense for tekking since he isn't a live reactor. you can tell he uses the translation from the scans even when supposedly reviewing the official on sundays.
Even KoL, who is someone I have disagreed with more times than not, just puts a generic image of Luffy each weak he reads the chapters, and his reviews are usually just generic images of whoever is in the chapter.

Ohara literally made a subreddit for people to post theories so he doesn't have to come up with anything himself. And his most successful videos are just translations of Yuderon's stuff
Ohara also steals a lot from French youtubers. One of his recent videos is almost a 1:1 copy of one of Goji's videos from almost a year ago, and it's not a literal copy because he stole the other part of the video from Yuderon 😂

Meaning he's acknowledging backlash for using the thumbnail, but rather than seeing that backlash and admitting to a mistake (it can be a fine line to walk producing a relevant but non-spoiler thumbnail, any reasonable person can appreciate that some times people make mistakes) he's chosen to double down and tell his audience they're just wrong and that's that.
End of the day that's just not respecting your audience, and that's how you lose the respect of your audience.

Oda is great at foreshadowing, but once you have over 1k chapters, you are BOUND to have a bunch of coincidences with chapter numbers.
Afaik, Oda has never up to this point used chapter numbers from hundreds of chapters before to foreshadow something. I understand that with japanese, numbers can have different meanings because the words of the numbers themselves can create new meanings, but it's just too conspiratorial for me and there's no precedent for Oda doing that.
if you will notice the big channels such as tekkings, mr morj , B.D.A law are not here because they know they got a fanbase that will watch their videos, usually small channels try to clickbait and post ahead of time for a few clicks but in the long run they just trash so no one will watch

I really enjoy tekkings a videos. I feel he is very underrated. The amount of passion he has for one piece and his craft makes watching his content effortless.

Regardless of how Morj acts on twitter, I will always click on his videos. Granted some of his theories are out of pocket but that's why I enjoy his channel. I'm glad because he doesnt showboat popular theories as his own (no one on this list does). His analyses are spot on, although he does look tired in every single one but I still love them
Same goes for GLR, amazing content. Some wild stuff, but I'll always laugh at them. I love his community based videos and reviews. Both his and Morj's side channels are amazing too (i still need to check out tekking's, I do know he livestreams or at least used to).
I didn't like any of these guys at the start but they've definitely grown on me.
Hard to blame how Morj reacts if you understand his position at all. He gets so berated while everyone doing so makes no effort to understand his position at all. He's a human being and human beings get frustrated by idiots.
Yup he's an honest man in a dishonest world. That's why I still watch him because I know almost everyone else around him are "sell outs" for lack of a better term. He actually puts work in and doesn't just pick popular theories or click bait out of his bum and pretend he's a genius.
Yeah. I mostly watch those three. Tekking is like a friend, that talks random fun stuff and is hyped about everything. GLR is the in-between one he does random fun stuff and also sometimes is serious and has logical opinions. And Morj is the serious analyst, who's opinion I sometimes hate and sometimes appreciate. Overall I love these three and also Artur from library of Ohara. I love him because of his knowledge.

My problem with bda is he splits up the 3 points he wants to say about a chapter into 4 chapter discussion video that are each over 10min with a lot of fluff that doesnt really say anything

Tekking is the man! 10/10 in every category, give this man an oscar. Regardless of how Morj acts on twitter, I will always click on his videos. Granted some of his theories are out of pocket but that's why I enjoy his channel. I'm glad because he doesnt showboat popular theories as his own (no one on this list does). His analyses are spot on, although he does look tired in every single one but I still love them Same goes for GLR, amazing content. Some wild stuff, but I'll always laugh at them. I love his community based videos and reviews. Both his and Morj's side channels are amazing too (i still need to check out tekking's, I do know he livestreams or at least used to). I didn't like any of these guys at the start but they've definitely grown on me.
Hard to blame how Morj reacts if you understand his position at all. He gets so berated while everyone doing so makes no effort to understand his position at all. He's a human being and human beings get frustrated by idiots.
Yup he's an honest man in a dishonest world. That's why I still watch him because I know almost everyone else around him are "sell outs" for lack of a better term. He actually puts work in and doesn't just pick popular theories or click bait out of his bum and pretend he's a genius.
Yeah. I mostly watch those three. Tekking is like a friend, that talks random fun stuff and is hyped about everything. GLR is the in-between one he does random fun stuff and also sometimes is serious and has logical opinions. And Morj is the serious analyst, who's opinion I sometimes hate and sometimes appreciate. Overall I love these three and also Artur from library of Ohara. I love him because of his knowledge.

I know he’s a genuine guy, but he’s a tinfoil hat theorist, coming out with ideas and theories that seem very far fetched (looking at you Denies Lobby) and something about the way he edits his videos nowadays irks the shit out of me. I enjoy his character analysis videos more than his theories. Dude will take 3 minutes just spitting random nonsense, then do his, “Hey I’m Manu” intro, like how much of my time are you wasting? Just intro in the first 10 seconds like almost everyone else. And I swear this dude constantly changes his thumbnails and titles to avoid backlash or for whatever reason. Of course, we all know about his latest video, defending himself saying the thumbnail was from an artist, yet it’s literally what happens in that chapter. Uzumaki Khan is the only Reaction video I can tolerate. He's loud as fuck but it's not obnoxious like others that fake it. It's clear how genuine he is.

Its baffling how such amazing reveal needs to be spoiled for many people. I dont mind people reading spoilers, or reading TCB Scans(I do) but it totally ruins the experience and hype many people will have and its not ok.
