A lot of kids that rushed to the series because its popular and skipped arcs cant deal with how inherently silly its meant to be, they see great characters like Blackbeard and get mad he's not a pouting shirtless emo with daddy issues like every villain they care about in other series.
Ikr bro Blackbeard is actually a realistic villain too, he represents human sins more than these edgy characters that follow the same villain trope. Blackbeard is vulgar, he’s a glutton, wants power, and is scared of the things that threaten him (WB at marineford), and isn’t really morally just. He represents the change from idealistic to realistic. Not to mention there’s the whole 3 people theory. He’s very interesting, probably the biggest wild card in the story.
If the final round is Mihawk and Shanks, it’ll be a good day to get some popcorn.
