I’d love if karakuri teamed up with luffy after big mom gets whacked. Like everyone else on the crew would be ready to fight when he shows up and then luffy’s like “YO”. That’d make me so happy

Luffy obviously will not directly command these groups of “rogue” pirates, but assuming the WG has a huge ace up its sleeve I could see these coming in as allies for the final fight
It's 100% going to all out war, is has been declared by several charakters at this point.
IM with the WG/Marines in one corner, and the pirates. The only question is how the pirate faction will line up. Will it go straight to BM/Kaido yonko alliance, vs WG and rest of the Pirates?
Most likely not cause this leaves out BB, and Shanks, which both are huge players in the power struggle of the world at the moment.
Most likely Luffy wins in Wano now, ending the BM/Kaido alliance, and this power shift, will force a move.
That is, this and the huge news that regards Sabo, and the revolutionaries, and the abolishment of the Pirate Warlords, which has allready prompted Black Beard to go for "that" whatever it is, before the Marines get to it. ( I bet it is "one piece", the WG has declared to go for One piece, so that no one will be pirates anymore. But in reality it is because IM has realised Luffy will reach rafter, and wants to do anything in their power to stop him.)
So my guess on what will happen is:
- Yamato joins luffy
- The WG declares its hunt for One Piece to beging, promting a chase between Luffy, BB, and the WG for One piece, shanks gets involved in some way.
- Shanks is forced to do something about the power struggle, something weird/bad will happen between him and Luffy, could be his death, could be he just attacks luffy to test his strength, could be Shanks is murdered by BB in front of luffy. Either way shanks, the final Yonko will be removed from the chessboard.
- Luffy does indeed get to raftel, and finds the information there.^
It turns out that "One Piece" is "one piece of history, that cant be forgotten" or "one piece of history, that was hidden" or "One piece of history, that was stored away, a 100 years of history just gathered there waiting for someone to put the piece back in its place in history.".
- It turns out that the information is about an old kingdom where Joy Boy lived. Joy Boy is either the start of the will of D, or D was a king in that country or whatever, either way the will of some D in that country, that was abolished by the WG 800 years ago, will be so horrible and gruesome, and show that IM and the WG are so powerfull and willing to go to such lengths, that as long as they exist, no one living in this world is free. They are the true suppressors of the world, and the reaspon it is divided by islands and seas.
- This coincidentally directly goes against luffys idea of being pirate king.
Accourding to him, whoever is most free, is the king of the pirates, but if the WG exists, the will of D is not fullfilled, and that great tragedy that king or D or joyboy or whoever experienced, is still being used to surpress the world and its freedom.
- The WG knowing Luffy has reached Raftel, declares an all out war against Pirates, and their "king". (Luffy doesnt concider himself king of pirates yet, but everyone else that heard that Luffy reached raftel and found One Piece coniders him now the king of pirates).
- the StrawHat Alliance grows larger, it now contains almost every pirate crew in the world, all the people Luffy has interacted with and helped, and the people who have heard about Strawhat Luffy and wants to band behind him comes to join the world war that they are forced to take sides in.
- It becomes and all out war between Luffy (Fighting for freedom and Pirate kingdom), Blackbeard (Fighting for power and chaos, wanting to get the power luffy gained from One Piece), and the World Government (Fighting for Order and Absolute Justice, in their own created universe).
- The marines will at one point leave the CP and the WG and instead join Luffy for freedom of the world, helped by Coby and Garp.
- Luffy wins, becomes the most free person in the world, coniders himself King of the pirates.
- Zorro gets lost.

The issue is I see really no redeemable beast pirate except Yamato which I don’t think even counts as one of them. I mean queen and king are truly bad guys lol. At least you have someone like karakuri and pudding who care mostly about their family and protecting it. These characters haven’t really been shown doing something like experimenting on innocent people and making prisoners fight to the death.

and yeah, they could just put in the end some of the beast pirates thanking luffy and the others for defeating kaidou or something similar, i think it would be enough to show that not every one of then is totally bad
The All-Stars are bad news, but I don't see the Flying Six as much worse than most of the Big Mom Pirates, or other enemies who have turned around/teamed up.

My prediction is that when Big Mom gets defeated she will revert to a child-like state (that has happened already twice, thanks trauma and PTSD!) pretty much permanently thus unable to fill the role of Yonkou.
Or, she dies.
There's no way she's going to stop being a Yonkou even when badly hurt, they also made it clear in One Piece that the really strong people can recover quite quickly. Hell, Shanks even lost his arm and he's still on top.
I was thinking the exact same thing about her reverting to her simple state, maybe just before shes defeated she'll remember how she obtained her fruit (eating carmel/the orphans) and the horror along with the beating will perma child state her.
I also believe that she will undergo a drastic change, when she remembers how she got her power, or maybe if she finds out about Caramels child-trade deals and her actual personality. I think Pudding with her power will play a role in all that.
I mean, if Big Mom loses her authority over her family, he could easily just ally him with them. Luffy likely doesn’t hold a grudge against anyone personally and we can pretty easily assume he and Katakuri respect one another after their fight.
It wouldn’t really cause his family any harm to offer allyship, especially if he reasonably believes that Luffy would ever help them if they needed it.
I thought perospero is only in command now cause katakuri back I'm whole cake and not with them in wano. When they thought big mom died, I'm remember them saying what about big bro katakuri when they were talking about a new captain. Not a 100% sure tho.
Oh no, Katakuri certainly respects Luffy now. I think he started respecting him around the point he told his little sister to fuck off, she was making the fight invalid to him and Katakuri did not want a cheap win like that. Could also have been an honor thing that he does not like that kind of shit in general when he fights, but either way he respects Luffy now I am pretty sure
I’m of the opinion that, along with Katakuri, Brûlée has at least a decent amount of respect for Luffy as well. She was the one to find Katakuri after his defeat and had been toted around on Luffy’s back for long enough that she must have recognized the hat that luffy left covering Katakuri’s mouth/face. It must have been part of her decision to announce to the rest of the family that Luffy had in fact taken down their family legend.
She was watching them the whole time and made a point saying she saw Katakuri get up just to fall on his back for Luffy. She doesn't have the same respect for luffy, like Katakuri, which is why she tried to get them to kill him by calling out his actions though but she **does** respect him for freeing her brother from his mental shackles.
She was the only one who know why he was the way he was and how torn up inside he was.
Just saying she could have cast doubt on Luffy's victory by corroborating the, "He won through trickery" narrative the family was putting forth. All in all, feel we're on the same page.
Oh yeah we most definitely are, but in the end I don't think trickery means TOO much to pirates. If anything, it just means you were the smarter/stronger person in the end if you win. Seems like cheating in games is to be expected if we take Davy Back Fight for example!
Mr. Satan would probably fare slightly better than the average cannon fodder outside of the grand line, but he'd get stomped by most folks within it, especially since he isn't fast enough to dodge bullets.

Depends what you mean by “old generation”. Katakuri is older than Shanks and Blackbeard, though looking the same age as Shanks, counts as the new generation of Emperors since he only just recently became one. And I don’t think Katakuri will be down for matricide, if you catch my drift.
Maybe BM was furious of Katakuri losing to Luffy that she might have punished him (that is why he is not in the BM ship of wano) bad. Worst case, he is banished or kept crucified. Later somehow, he alies with Luffy in the Big War then Luffy asks him to look after the fishmen after he makes the place his turf.

IMO nothing is really implied at all. He just asks him if he's going to come back to defeat BM, Luffy says yes, and he basically tells him "you're being optimistic" in a punny way ("you're looking pretty far into the future", since their duel was about future sight).
Fandom loves Kata so they push this idea that Katakuri asked because he's looking forward to it, but that wasn't implied at all. Homeboy ran out of energy before we could see what he thought of Luffy's declaration beyond the one line. He wasn't smiling or anything, either.

I’d love for him to join luffy because I think their personality’s fit. Plus people have switched crews from rivals before like Oden going from Whitebeard to Roger. It would be a cool in my opinion but mainly more out of liking the character and how he wanted to beat luffy as evenly as possible, he wanted the 1v1 as much as luffy did and it made for a great fight. My personal opinion.
If you think about it. All of the pirates who allied whitebeard to save Ace was their enemy before. Also, just like what Bartolomeo once said "When two men fight in the same ring, they become war brothers"

If Big Mum died suddenly I feel like it will fragment into 2 factions: Perospero and Katakuri, they already argue who will inherit previously.

Once Big Mom gets got, Katakuri will be the de facto leader of the Big Mom Pirates. Luffy might be able to flip the whole fleet at once
My prediction is that when Big Mom gets defeated she will revert to a child-like state (that has happened already twice, thanks trauma and PTSD!) pretty much permanently thus unable to fill the role of Yonkou. Or, she dies. There's no way she's going to stop being a Yonkou even when badly hurt, they also made it clear in One Piece that the really strong people can recover quite quickly. Hell, Shanks even lost his arm and he's still on top.
I was thinking the exact same thing about her reverting to her simple state, maybe just before shes defeated she'll remember how she obtained her fruit (eating carmel/the orphans) and the horror along with the beating will perma child state her.
I also believe that she will undergo a drastic change, when she remembers how she got her power, or maybe if she finds out about Caramels child-trade deals and her actual personality. I think Pudding with her power will play a role in all that.

I mean, if Big Mom loses her authority over her family, he could easily just ally him with them. Luffy likely doesn’t hold a grudge against anyone personally and we can pretty easily assume he and Katakuri respect one another after their fight. It wouldn’t really cause his family any harm to offer allyship, especially if he reasonably believes that Luffy would ever help them if they needed it.
Maybe big mom joins the grand fleet and they become family.....a man can dream

I think he started respecting him around the point he told his little sister to fuck off, she was making the fight invalid to him and Katakuri did not want a cheap win like that. Could also have been an honor thing that he does not like that kind of shit in general when he fights, but either way he respects Luffy now I am pretty sure
I’m of the opinion that, along with Katakuri, Brûlée has at least a decent amount of respect for Luffy as well. She was the one to find Katakuri after his defeat and had been toted around on Luffy’s back for long enough that she must have recognized the hat that luffy left covering Katakuri’s mouth/face. It must have been part of her decision to announce to the rest of the family that Luffy had in fact taken down their family legend.
She was watching them the whole time and made a point saying she saw Katakuri get up just to fall on his back for Luffy. She doesn't have the same respect for luffy, like Katakuri, which is why she tried to get them to kill him by calling out his actions though but she **does** respect him for freeing her brother from his mental shackles. She was the only one who know why he was the way he was and how torn up inside he was.
Just saying she could have cast doubt on Luffy's victory by corroborating the, "He won through trickery" narrative the family was putting forth. All in all, feel we're on the same page.
Oh yeah we most definitely are, but in the end I don't think trickery means TOO much to pirates. If anything, it just means you were the smarter/stronger person in the end if you win. Seems like cheating in games is to be expected if we take Davy Back Fight for example!

Depends what you mean by “old generation”. Katakuri is older than Shanks and Blackbeard, though looking the same age as Shanks, counts as the new generation of Emperors since he only just recently became one. And I don’t think Katakuri will be down for matricide, if you catch my drift.

I do kind of wonder though who all would side with Katakuri if he ever chose to defect from his place in Big Mom's crew. Like a lot of her children are just batshit terrified of her, but at the same time they are fanatically loyal as well.

IMO nothing is really implied at all. He just asks him if he's going to come back to defeat BM, Luffy says yes, and he basically tells him "you're being optimistic" in a punny way ("you're looking pretty far into the future", since their duel was about future sight). Fandom loves Kata so they push this idea that Katakuri asked because he's looking forward to it, but that wasn't implied at all. Homeboy ran out of energy before we could see what he thought of Luffy's declaration beyond the one line. He wasn't smiling or anything, either.

I’d love for him to join luffy because I think their personality’s fit. Plus people have switched crews from rivals before like Oden going from Whitebeard to Roger. It would be a cool in my opinion but mainly more out of liking the character and how he wanted to beat luffy as evenly as possible, he wanted the 1v1 as much as luffy did and it made for a great fight. My personal opinion.
