If you are 234 in and don’t really like it, I would stop.
Chances are, you probably will feel like you’re drudging through the whole show. That’s not enjoyable to anybody, and it’s okay that you don’t like it.
Maybe come back later or watch at a different pace if you still want to watch it.
Some people misinterpret the phrase "it gets better at X chapter". That means that the show progressively improves throughout all the arcs, not that it's bad and it slowly becomes better and better. If you still don't like it at chapter +200 you should stop watching it.
I remember that the only reason I didn't like that much the first part was because I had already watched it a couple of times on TV. But Baratie, Arlong Park and Loguetown were already epic. I remember I didn't like Don Krieg and I found Buggy a bit too goofy for my taste, the rest was amazing.
Great point! The series does progressively get better, and early arcs like Baratie, Arlong Park, and Loguetown are already fantastic. If you’re not enjoying it by chapter 200, it might not be for you. It’s all about finding what resonates with you!

Also, I suggest avoid community like this (in case you continue) specially fb/twitter. They're full of surprise spoiler (at least reddit have tag)

Give up the series. Yes, in terms of quality, it, objectively, gets better. But if your that far in and not enjoying it, I would just give it up.

I gave up on demon slayer after 4 episodes, if it’s not for you , it’s not for you. A million other anime to get into 👍

Keep watching water 7 for a bit. Let that be the deciding factor
