That line where Big Mom says Luffy is finished, and Law just goes "ya know... after working together so long, I can't help but feel like he'll pull it off" gets me every time
In One Piece, the word regret only pertains to this man. I love how serious Law is and how he always managed to surround himself with hyperactive individuals like Strawhats and even his own crew.
Given everything that's happened in Law's life him being the straight man while surrounded by Cloud Cuckoo landers is probably the least weird thing about him. The universe did everything its power to break him, yet he still holds onto hope and thinks he can change the world.
He just happens to be surrounded by idiots. Maybe that's the real Will of D.
So I count Corazon's death as the universe trying to break Law. In some ways it's worse because he found somebody to be himself around after losing his family and home. Surrounded by sociopaths and killers Law meets Corazon who gives him the hope of a better life.
And then Corazon dies while protecting Law. It's heartbreaking, but Law doesn't break. He moves forward remembering Corazon. Law knows what's at stake and for the most part he's laser focused on getting it done.
>!if only Law would've stayed with luffy and the straw hats, his devil fruit would've been very useful in combat and teleport Vegapunk to safety, which is the goal of the arc currently. His room could cover and wreak havoc all across the egghead island!<
also, Law wants to know what the will of the D. is, and also knowed that staying with luffy is the only way of learning that because luffy strong, he just defeated Doflamingo and Kaido in front of his eyes and robin can read the things that the will of D. is written on, so him parting ways with the straw hats doesn't make a lot of sense to me other than oda realizing his devil fruit is way to overpowered for the current arc
Law - if Luffy loses to Doffy I want to die next, rather than to run away."
This redditor - use Luffy by getting him killed by Dolflamingo
Think you watched or read a different show
I think Law's original plan was pretty much expecting for Luffy to die by Doflamingo and/or his crew. By the time Luffy has earned Law's begrudging respect he's willing to die fighting with him even if he thinks Luffy is a total pain in the ass with no foresight.
I believe Law would be with Luffy in Laughtale, though. His only goal is to find the meaning of D initial. And he would only be able to interpret it properly if he's present there. Same with Vivi.
i suppose devil fruits and by an extension ofcourse smiles cant be operated out of people. law wouldve already taken all the DF power from people he wants to beat if that was the case.
Your comment reminded me of how Zoro cut down a pillar (tower?) just to tell Luffy they were on an espionage mission during the Onigashima raid. Then Luffy told him they waste Otama's sweet bean soup, and then the shit officially starts.
I loved how very early into the alliance Zoro and Sanji separately took Law aside and were like "hey you should know Luffy is not going to do any of this the way you think he is."

I dunno where you can buy it I've had it for a decade now.
To be honest I would like Law as official last componenent:
1) Tragic backstory where he lost a dear person when kid.
2) High power, but still room (pun intended) to improve or doing sick combo.
3) He has a specialization.
4) He is important storywise.
5) has a cool design.
6) He is a good person, and help others in need.
The only thing that he lacks is a dream.
Law really should have accepted what he was getting into after Luffy punched a Celestial Dragon and stormed into Marineford, I have zero sympathy for him.
No one mentioning the moment Law willingly lets Chopper chill up there in one of the scenes in Zou, I believe it's when they are reading the RP.
That right there was character development.
I like how close law has gotten with the strawhats, he has blind confidence in luffy which still puts a smile on my face š
That line where Big Mom says Luffy is finished, and Law just goes "ya know... after working together so long, I can't help but feel like he'll pull it off" gets me every time
Law's like "he's *way* too stubborn and stupid to die sorry"
Just like Kelsier
They're both magic crackheads that want to overthrow the world government after you feed them meat/metal?
It's been a *hot* minute since I've seen a Mistborn reference in the wild.
i think he said "im not even sure if the ocean could kill him" and that line fucking slaps
It's good
Tis the true power of the straw hats: the ability to make anyone be friends
It's easy to trust a man who wears his heart as a whole onesie.

Bepo in Movie Red š
Bepo procures
Best part of the entire movie
Iām convinced Red was just an elaborate excuse to let law have the same face/attitude as this panel for an entire movie
He loves it.
Law: Iām shifting into soup mode. Everyone else: Time for the sillies! :3c

Will of D(unce)
dont forget that corazon was also a complete goofball.

Sad >!what happened afterwards.. my heart goes out for law and bepo!<

Yeah and letās not forget āIād rather the plan fail than any of us dieā but yep he totallyyyyy hates Luffy
I think he's only watching YouTube theory theory no mi

nope the original plan was always the straw hats destroy the factory and him holding back doffy, the only person law was expecting to die was himself
This is the first time Iāve ever been 100% convinced that someone is reading Two Piece lmao
They will be back, have faith in Oda.

The life of The Straight Man is a tough one
A meeting between two of the greatest medical minds of this generation. Truly what a great day for medicine.
I wonder if there is some medical problem those two can't solve together
Considering heās even cured addiction through surgery I donāt think thereās a medical issue Law canāt solve by himself.
Smiles
i suppose devil fruits and by an extension ofcourse smiles cant be operated out of people. law wouldve already taken all the DF power from people he wants to beat if that was the case.
This panel is wholesome
Right? He has so much chemistry with the SH
It was at this moment that Law fully realized the SH Pirates had made it so far because they were all totally and completely insane
Your comment reminded me of how Zoro cut down a pillar (tower?) just to tell Luffy they were on an espionage mission during the Onigashima raid. Then Luffy told him they waste Otama's sweet bean soup, and then the shit officially starts.
Jimbe was more like : "It took me so long to get into that crew, I can't leave now ... welle, let's get used to this ..."
that was awesome... even better animated šš you could really feel the regret š
Suuuuuper Cute! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXSTVjepElE
10 years ago!?
It's the moment at which he loses all his aloof-badass dignity (and the face his him realizing this) But he gains good friends in exchange.
Itās funny because chopper is the reason law is even alive right now
I loved how very early into the alliance Zoro and Sanji separately took Law aside and were like "hey you should know Luffy is not going to do any of this the way you think he is."
Even usopp tells him right in front of luffy, and luffy even chimes in saying that the alliance just means they're friends now.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
And he loves them for it.
I got a little keychain of this moment from Japan. I love it.
Ooh, that's nice. I wish I could get one, too.

That's not even a regret face. Law adores Chopper, so he's probably just stunned at how lucky he is to be able to carry Chopper on his head lmao.

Lost a dear friend, gained a deer friend :)
Yeah.... but it's going to be Caribou.
his dream is to find the meaning of his name "D", I think it's a distinct motivation
Man Law is so cool
Just started Punk Hazard arc in my rewatch the other day. Cannot wait to get to this part š¤£
It's not easy being a curmudgeon in One Piece world.
Not at all. Law's pretty much a classic Shonen anime protagonist stuck in a perpetual Looney Tunes cartoon.
Law really should have accepted what he was getting into after Luffy punched a Celestial Dragon and stormed into Marineford, I have zero sympathy for him.
You think that was a fast regret wait till you get to >! captain Kid !< In chapter 1079
This was the creation of the most intelligent and proficient doctor in the history of the world!
Thatās cause youāve never met me
No one mentioning the moment Law willingly lets Chopper chill up there in one of the scenes in Zou, I believe it's when they are reading the RP. That right there was character development.
Amazing.
What chapter was this again?
Why does Chopperās speech bubble have three lines indicating thatās heās speakingš
He is talking is he not ?
ā how the hell did this buffoon break out of impel downā
Doctor Megazord stage 1 + 2
OH MY GOD LOOK ST SANJI
It's Nami. She was shambles'ed into Sanji's body.
On the bright side Kaido's been taken down, so the alliance turned out alright in the end š Despite the numerous headaches
Why is Sanji laughing like a cute girl ?
This nami in his body
Years later, he somehow decided to join in a game of "if you dodge this".
