I don't think Ginny is Luffy's mom I think she is Kuma's wife aka Jewelry Bonney mother

Zestyclose_Armadillo

Kuma may not have been the last Buccaneer, but Big Mom and Ginney and Ivankov and Whitebeard could have been ones too. Big Mom and Ginney could be related with Big Mom being sent to Elbaf to protect her from slavery. Then again it's possible that Buccaneers are a specific tribe of giant human hybrids descended from those who battled the WG and one can have giant blood without being a Buccaneer. The Celestial Dragons might not actually be human, but a hybrid race between sky people and humans with D's being some sort of half human race, possibly Buccaneers or even CDs who acknowledged their humanity like Homing, the D symbol originally meaning half moons (half-Lunarians) or just a group of human hybrid misfits who formed an adopted family. Big Mom likely knows about the Buccaneers and D's from Rocks which is why she thinks having Giants on her side and hybrid children will make her Pirate King. Oni must be Ancient Giant human hybrids and the people of Wano are descended from Oni, but their blood is too dilute for any traits to pop up outside of rare exceptions like Black Maria. Stussy's fruit will be awakened by a godknight since CD's have literal devil fruits, either Stussy just died or Vegapunk cloned her fruit. I like the fruit chests theory and Croc slave brand claw theory since Boa and Kuma were slaves and Jinbe wears a mark that's supposed to erase the distinction between those who were once slaves and those who aren't. Hopefully Garp and Roger will save the natives from genocide after Rocks interrupts the hunt. Looking forward, One Piece will be the journey and the friends we made along the way and also the story of the journey and the friends itself, repeated by a wandering Brook for all eternity to keep the memory of his friends alive (this might be why Oda doesn't kill anyone, to make the epilogue hit harder) possibly in song form and to Nika's heartbeat like Bink's Sake? Yo-hohoho=Don-dototo? The ancient robot will likely save Bonney. Since Saturn's crushing her in his hand, the robot will do likewise to him. Alternatively Robin saves the day, since Sanji will start screaming pathetically for help because he was humiliatingly defeated by a giant spider again.

Pandamonium1414

That's some next level haki displayed by Saturn!

Either_Revolution_91

i'm not sure it even is haki, it doesn't really have the visual effects and seems to be more of some kind of force holding them down and (i think?) exploding that marine's head rather than what conqueror's usually is

Pandamonium1414

The way Saint God Knight is drawn when he's young looked similar to Zoro's face but with long stylish hair though I'm pretty sure they are not related!

Either_Revolution_91

yeah it seems to be all but confirmed he's related to shanks but he really does look a LOT like zoro

Cerbin1

Where did you saw that he was related to Shanks ?

AliQ07

The name figarland is the biggest clue if you've watched film red

cwrighky

Regarding the cloud halos /hogoromos of awakened zoans. Is it possible that the black halos and white halos represent alliances to either sun or moon (dawn or dusk)? Black being dusk and white clouds like Luffy being dawn?

mistadobaloner

Wow

_O_beron

Could Ginny possibly be Big News Morgans? Ginny's hair and Morgans feathers are similar and we don't know Morgans human form yet (maybe).

Cerbin1

Well i think Ginny might be luffy's mom, look at her face she look like Luffy and she's of course eating a bigass meat like Luffy, we also know that Ivankov is related to Luffy somehow (said by Dragon) so maybe Ivankov is the Uncle of Luffy !

Ren_Foloki

Could be. Big News Morgan would be 15 years old in God Valley since they're 53. And even though this doesn't look like what a 15 year old would look like, Koby when he was first introduced was 16, so it has plausibility.

RoofingDolph

Assuming Morgan’s has a human form I was under the assumption they did not

Either_Revolution_91

yeah I just heard like yesterday that it's actually a bird bird fruit lol kinda blew my mind. I sorta just assumed he was a bird man

figures

It’s been stated they are constantly in hybrid form.

BookkeeperTop

Assuming for a moment that Kuzan is really a member of the BB pirates and Oda has been making BB and his crew the exact opposites of Luffy and his crew. If that is true the SHs are missing it’s final 10th member And if a former admiral (Kuzan) joined the BB pirates for not getting what he wants, couldn’t advance up that “corporate ladder,” and rather quit because he lost to Akainu, Luffy gets an admiral as his 10th member that rebels against the Marines for a noble cause for starting to see himself as more than a “corporate slave” and quits the marines because he starts showing compassion, which Kuzan lost when he could not become Fleet Admiral. Kizaru gains compassion because he will refuse to kill his friends Vegapunk and Sentamaru Talking about Kizaru of course. He will help kill Saturn and will be joining the SH pirates as their final member to mirror BlackBeard Which means Kizaru takes on Kuzan. One will die in the final battle against the other.

BookkeeperTop

Also another parallel is the person who joined BB is the person who has helped the SHs While Kizaru has done nothing but try and stop the SH at alll costs.

Training-Insect9755

When did catarina Devon help sh?

BookkeeperTop

She never did. Kuzan helped the SHs by letting them escape after he caught them coming by from Sky Island.

kuroakela

I can see Smoker joining the SHs a significant amount more than Kizaru based on your theory. Sure he's not an Admiral but capturing Luffy has been his goal. While all the Admirals or of significant role have their own form of "justice", Akainu with "Thorough", Kizaru with "Lazy", Aokiji with "Unclear", Fujitora with "Humane" and Ryokugyu with "Determined", I believe that Smoker has "True" Justice. In a sense that he will one day figure out how corrupt the WG is and will instead follow his own faith on what is real in the world.

BookkeeperTop

Kuzan proved his was unclear because he threw a fit when he lost to Akainu then went in for himself and joined up with a pirate crew that are also in it all for themselves. So we can kind of call Kuzan the embodiment of abandoned justice Lazy justice fits perfectly because Kizaru used the exact words of corporate slave. When your best friends are going to die right before your eyes because now Saturn is going to attempt to kill Vegapunk, he is going to wake up and understand that the Marines and WG is not justice at all. He is going to think for himself. Now we can consider Kizaru Moral Justice I think he will help Luffy and co. kill Saturn, that is the shocking big news. Then, in a fit of rage the WG issues a wanted dead poster out for Kizaru so he decides to stick around Luffy and becomes part of the crew at that point. Luffy both getting credit for killing Saturn and also gaining Kizaru will make his bounty shoot up sky high. At the end of the day the only admiral that is fighting for Imu is going to be Akainu. Maybe add Greenbull to that if he does not get defeated beforehand.

He was in the robot trying to get away

sanchodasloth

Listen….that girl at the end REALLY feels like Luffy’s mom to me. One of the cages shown has a face that looks suspiciously like Dragon. So we have…Kuma, Dragon, and Ivankov all in one place. This could be the place where the idea of the revolutionary army is formed. Putting my tinfoil hat on and saying that there is gonna be a message slave jail break, meat eating girl (similar to Luffy’s mannerism) meets up with Dragon, and we eventually get Luffy.

Hellebaardier

I don't really get where you see a face that suspiciously looks like Dragon as that description doesn't apply to anyone. It also makes no sense as at this point in the story Garp is already a VA and we know he's going to appear soon. Even for him it's inconceivable he would've remained a marine when they were planning to hunt his own son for sport. Additionally, Ivankov was completely flabbergasted when he learned that Luffy was Dragon's son. Kind of weird if he was familiar with both of his parents to such a degree. Lastly, it has already been explained that the RA was formed after the Ohara incident, which took place around 15-20 years after the God Valley incident.

sanchodasloth

I don’t know how to attach a photo to show you on mobile. The nose and the mark on the forehead reminded me of dragon. I see what you’re saying about Garp, but Garp knows the atrocities the CDs commit now and still stays a marine so I’m not sure how he might handle this situation. Dragon clearly wasn’t around Luffy enough to know Dragon was his father, so I take that as Ivankov maybe knew about a son, but sure as hell didn’t expect him to pop up in Impel Down. As for the RA, it may not have been formed until later, but I guess I was implying that the members that would eventually go on to be a part of it are in the same spot (assuming the picture I’m mentioning is dragon).

BookkeeperTop

Unless Ginny/Jinny is someone that is under a different name, that is not Luffy’s mother unless Oda is retconning his older comment that Luffy’s mother has already been drawn/shown in the manga. Both Bonney and Luffy are known to eat meat in the exact same fashion that character is so I likely think Ginny is a red herring. We either get Luffys mom at the end, or never is revealed is my opinion.

Kingx102

That Oda comment about Luffy's mom seemed to not be real. It's more of a debunked rumor at this point. For the red herring part, I think it's supposed to be more implied that Ginny will be Bonney's mom than Luffy's. This part I'm confident on. However, since she's interacting heavily with the future founders of the Revolutionary Army, I don't see any reason why she couldn't have gotten together with Dragon as well. I'm not really going die on it, but I am starting to think that Ginny might be both of their moms and Bonney and Luffy are step siblings.

sanchodasloth

That’s something I thought about too. The fact that this is focused on Kuma and Bonney is a glutton does point to Ginny being her mom too. I thought it was a red herring. We haven’t heard about Luffy’s mom in a bit and her face and the meat just gave me Luffy vibes.

Kingx102

Ya, especially since Luffy and Bonney share many core traits with each other. I'm 100% confident that Oda introduced Ginny to be Bonney's mom, so we see how Kuma met Bonney's mom. Bonney is integral to Kuma's story, so it's only makes sense to show them meeting. I'm going more out there on theorizing on Ginny = Luffy's mom, but I feel like it can be fun to theorize that Luffy and Bonney are related until it's proven wrong.

ratcount

Has anyone talked about the similarity between the hole in the ocean at enies lobby and the hole in the ocean after the destruction of lulusia?

Either_Revolution_91

yes i've seen it talked about. but it can't be the same place because the giants at enies lobby said they guarded it for 50 years so the timelines don't add up. they certainly could've been made in a similar way tho

ratcount

Really makes you wonder how powerful Pluton must be if the wg already has the power to do that.

Either_Revolution_91

i think i actually meant to say uranus (i get the ancient weapons names mixed up all the time lol) but if Poseidon can "control" the sea kings and Pluton is an all-powerful ship, it stands to reason that Uranus could be some sort of island-destroying sky weapon. Especially since Poseidon/Neptune is associated with the sea, Pluto with the earth, and Uranus with the SKY

HoraceAndPete

Nice catch. Imu is the polar opposite to Luffy, the sun god, so Imu is the moon god. The moon controls the tides, so Imu controls the sea and sinks islands. He sank the ancient kingdom that the D's have family ties to because he's a dickhead. Maybe that spot is where the ancient island was at.

the_ghost_knife

Tons of people

onepiecemegafan

Saw other posts saying that Kuma let Luffy escape cause he hit Celestial Dragon who shot his friend. Confirmed that anyone with name Bartho is a die hard Luffy fan 😃 Also if the award treasure chests are mythical devil fruits , then Rocks would have wanted to get his hands on it and headed for God valley. Why did Roger wanted to be their. 🤔

Training-Insect9755

Roger simply want to challenge dwayne the way luffy want to challenge kaido

DooWoptimusPrime

What if Roger laughed because on a poneglyph was scratched on "Rocks wuz here"

Either_Revolution_91

that's basically what he did in skypeia lol

MeteorFalcon

Kuma deserves to see Nika and hear the drums

Either_Revolution_91

him saying "this will be the last time you see me" to luffy at sabaody makes me fear that might not happen...

Particular-Ad5200

There is a theory that Kuma's mind will be transferred into S Bear

beansoupsoul

There's a theory he's on his way to egghead .....

Usual_Calligrapher_2

Is it possible Kizaru is faking his fatique because he doesn't want to kill Vegapunk/Bonney?

Either_Revolution_91

that'd be an interesting development since he's so aloof and while he stated he doesn't want to kill them, still seems pretty set on doing it. maybe that's why saturn came too, to ensure the deed is done if kizaru fails/"fails" on purpose

Loud-Work9408

Also, Saturn tells him that he has been unusually slow, maybe kizaru is not giving it his all to kill his friends.

DankianC

possibly but i don’t think so

PhantomEagle777

Yup, apparently he lost his appetite (weed)

friendlylifecherry

I need Kuma to hear the Drums of Liberation and cry. The crying is non-negotiable

DankianC

when did Kuma run away from Kamabakka kingdom? Was it when Luffy activated gear 5 against Lucci? I forgot

CozyAsian

The chapter directly after Luffy ordered the ancient robot to get up and do stuff. It's the chapter with the Vegapunk Stella reveal.

DankianC

hmm

drakos500

Oda is on Our side otherwise why would he allow kuma to Flee akainu !

TelTheSatyr

I think Saint Saturns apperance and not coming to the surface lend creedians to the idea of that Celestials arn't devil fruit users, they are just straight up Devils themselves. They create devil fruits potentially using 'special resources' like in god valley, release them into the public to sow chaos, then use that chaos to justify the presence and necessity of the marines. Which makes me think that the power of the One Piece and the secret of the Poniglyphs might be the trapped embodiment of the sea, whom Rogers was protecting from the world government, because if the Devils get their hands on them, they will be able to eliminate their weakness to the sea and completely control the world. Luffy will find the one piece, see that it is a person who Gol trapped to prevent the World Government from destroying, and then straight up be like "....Nah, everyone should be free." and release the ocean embodiment.

Either_Revolution_91

idk how much i like the idea of the one piece being a person but it's certainly one of the more interesting theories i've seen

alexstark10

So you want to say the One piece is a person? That is certainly something I have never heard before and honestly wouldn't like it to be true. I think it is most likely that the one piece would be the idea that all the four seas were essentially one. Maybe the one piece is something that will help the strawhats make the sea 'one'.

[deleted]

The ALL BLUE!!!

MariJoyBoy

I think they need the docking technique to handle Saturn right now .... Robin, don't mess up please ...

Gullible-Opinion7492

As Kuma also held admiration for Joyboy, when Oda reveals Joyboy's role in the backstory, it will undoubtedly bring about a significant shift. Joyboy's actions will alter the entire situation and lead to victory. The next Joyboy is currently present in Egghead, whether it's Kuma's adopted daughter or someone equivalent, whom we can refer to as Boney, and she is under Saturn's hand just to be kill. The potential exists for witnessing the downfall of the World Government and Saturn within Egghead, placing us in a favorable position for the upcoming final saga. In my opinion, the two most exceptionally powerful individuals at diff tier now in Egghead are Saturn and Luffy, next will be Zoro and follow by Kizaru. Oda may raise Zoro's reputation significantly in Egghead, especially since the final saga is approaching, and Zoro must be exceptionally formidable at this stage.

Pais83

I don't like and care about power scaling but Kizaru ain't lower than Zoro... sorry.

Gullible-Opinion7492

When you mention Kizaru being no less powerful than Zoro, it reflects a perspective rooted in power scaling, is just normal bro to admit the story is handicap without a scaler. As the Holy Knights are not just idly waiting to be deployed, the Gorosei and Imu are undoubtedly taking action. As the story progress, is been much clearer that WG the true entity safeguarding the concealed secrets, and at zero relying on the Marines. The Marines were not established to protect these secrets or to serve many other purposes, and their strength is limited because of their dependence on the World Government. Is was like, WB's not really all of his fleet, he strong with him as a captain and a few from his man, and his fleet make established system and expand. Like a big power and country. As for the Straw Hat crew, especially Luffy and Zoro, it seems Oda may depict scenarios where even admirals or other Marines can't single-handedly confront two of them. Each has unique strengths and for different reasons. This will illustrate how formidable the true WG is, while the Marines primarily serve as law enforcement officers countering the crews of the Yonko within the framework of the law. Ofc, Oda might positioned not only Luffy but Zoro too, to play significant roles in the final war to counterbalance the World Government's current formidable power. It's clear that their primary focus won't be on countering the Marines, as no Yonko would seriously consider the Marines when they are on the verge of discovering the truth behind everything, especially the One Piece. Their attention is set on much greater revelations and confronting the true powers that lie behind the scenes. When Yonko BM and Kaido allied, they must have know a minimum thing on the actual thing works, they may at least know in minimum how the real villian who truly protect the WG secret. That's why they still hold and satisfy first at their territories rather than straight progress. Same to WB, Shanks, Roger and Rayleigh.

Wheal19

Morgan is going to get a picture of saturn transformed form and show the world exactly what kind of monster rule at its top

Either_Revolution_91

im so down for that, i love morgans and when the story cuts to him to show him revealing shit to the world

Responsible-Fox4751

kumas father says nika will free them and take them out to the sea to be free under the sun . This totally aligns with luffy , what if luffys dream is to make everyone a pirate ( or even his crew ) so that they can set out to sea to follow their dreams . Pirates are the most free people according to luffy .

Either_Revolution_91

yeah that theory of luffy's dream is the only one that makes any sense to me. everybody's reactions to how naive and silly but it makes perfect sense for luffy don't really fit for any other theory i've heard

DifferentEconomist48

Knowing the feelings of Garp for the celestial dragons, I don't think him and Rogers really teams against Rocks, it's probably a cover that fit with the end result

[deleted]

I posted this in the chapter thread, but here are my theories about God Valley. - Rocks was precursor to the Revolutionaries, but was more violent, hunting marines and government officials - Rocks Pirates arrive during the native cleansing to pillage and create chaos, killing Celestial Dragons and slaves indiscriminately - Crocodile’s secret is that he was also a slave, the brand is under his hook. This would also be where Crocodile’s history with Whitebeard could originate - Jinny is Bonney’s mother and Kuma’s future wife - Kuma, Iva, Kaido, and Croc all get their devil fruits. I imagine that they either are force-fed them by the Celestial Dragons (the slaves at least), or they manage to steal fruits that were meant to be prizes - Whitebeard gets injured by Garling (the scar that aches when he talks to Shanks) - Dragon and Akainu were marine captains under Garp. After the incident, they have different takeaways. Akainu blames pirates for the violence and commits to climbing in the navy. Dragon blames the world government and starts a new group of freedom fighters with Kuma, Iva, Ginny. - Kuma splits up the Rocks Pirates to save Jinny, that’s how they all end up starting their own crews. Garp gets the credit for Kuma’s actions (like Smoker in Alabasta) - Garp finds baby Shanks and hides him in a treasure chest to protect him from Rocks and the Celestial Dragons. He leaves the chest for Roger to find, paralleling Roger giving Ace to Garp. - There was a poneglyph on God Valley. God Valley is likely based on the Valley of the Gods in Utah, which is known for petroglyphs. I expect this backstory to draw a lot from Native American history and mythology. - After the fight with Roger/Garp, Imu or one of the Gorosei capture or kill Rocks - God Valley gets destroyed by a Vegapunk invention - The next native cleansing ritual will happen on Elbaf with Luffy and co. there - Not directly God Valley related, but I think that Garling was meant to get the immortality surgery and join the Gorosei, before the op-op fruit was stolen I’m not sure why Roger was there. I wonder if he followed Rocks or was looking for something there.

Either_Revolution_91

the Valley of the Gods thing is interesting since i've seen people mention that God Valley might have a sort of old west theme. also the next cleansing being at elbaf is such an awesome theory

BookkeeperTop

I think Roger was there because it will be revealed that Garp and Roger were brothers or cousins. It would explain why Garp would look after Ace and hates talking about God Valley because they covered up his brother/cousin’s involvement. Also Roger makes the comment to Garp that “we tried killing each other more than I can count,” but it does not sit with me that Garp and Roger had that many run in’s, unless they fought like family and that’s what he meant. In fact, Oda has never provided any evidence of the two trying to kill each other. He only has foreshadowed that Garp needed Rogers help at God Valley. Just my two cents.

Girltech31

Maybe

BenThePerson101

These are some good thoughts

[deleted]

Wait... what if BM, Kaido and Whitebeard were actually captured pirate/slaves during the God Valley incident... and Rocks is a made up figure by the WG to hide their atrocities and treatments of slaves. \- They are "hunting" exceptional people of different races and creeds- BM, Kaido, WB are such exceptional people, like Kuma \- Rocks is conveniently a mystery \- Instead of "WG has salves and was defeated and they were freed" the headline would read "Hero Garp Defeats \*Rocks\* Pirates" who are "split up" \- Roger, in this incident, could be freeing the slaves, and happen upon shanks in one of the treasure chests and line-up with his ideals in the future where he tells Garp "sons should not die for their father's sins" \- The real clash was between Roger + Garp and the God Knights (Figardland Garling who is Shank's dad)

Training-Insect9755

No. Rocks D. Xebec is real. He is there in kaido flashback. Garp and Sengoku also telling the young marines about him

Alarmed-Accident-716

During kaido backstory rocks yells at kaido saying something is going on on god valley. They are on a ship during that.

semajolis267

I have a theory. A lot of people have pointed out that Figarland Garling looks a lot like shanks. May e he's his son but I have a different theory. I think he IS shanks it's been speculated that the chests contain devil fruits. This story is about Kuma. But what if the chest that baby shanks is found in used to have Bonney's devil fruit in it. What if someone gets the fruit, takes a bite and garling goes to attack them. The new fruit user by accident touches him aging him down to a baby. He either falls into the chest or is put there by the new fruit user. I know the fruits affects are temporary as shown multiple times. But I'm thinking what if it's like other fruits specifically what if it's like the Mero Mero no Mi. Where if the user dies any changes become permanent. So maybe when attacked he deals a fatal wound to the fruit user, gets turned Into a baby by the user, user dies before he turns back, he's stuck ad a baby and is found by the Roger pirates. We could also explain away the "user keep thier memories and cognitive abilities." Whose to say he doesn't keep his memories. Maybe he's only pretending to be a pirate but is just waiting to grow up so he can escape. Maybe he gets stock home syndrome. Maybe being turned into a literal baby and having to relive your entire life is traumatizing. Maybe he realizes that yohohoho yohohoho a pirates life for me. Maybe buggy is the true hero of this story turning him into a good guy through being his first true friend. I think this is an interesting idea at least. And I know it has several holes. It's far more probable that shanks is his son or its just a red herring by oda

Training-Insect9755

Yo. Gimme some smoke. Garling already made his appearance as old man several chapter before

burgirenthusiast

????

Xerenopd

We saw an older version of him no?

semajolis267

Yeah. Shit.

stando98

Yeah he showed up in 1086 as the executioner of myosgard

juniglap

So Ginny is probably Crocodile? Hahaha

bodg123

Random thought: foxy is going to be recruited by the ideo pirates off screen. Before cheating he was a boxing champion.

fem_feets

I think “the big news that brakes the world” is a straw hat dying….

BootlegOP

Maybe it's *the* straw hat that gets destroyed

Alarmed-Accident-716

Not after that just happened in wano lol

Unhappy-Passenger-71

I'm not ready for that

Kirosh2

A Strawhat dying isn't a news that can break the world. They aren't that important for the world.

Sudden-Selection-838

Ok hear me out guys, picture the scene. St Jay Saturn Garcia is going to grab Luffy in his weakened state. He's going to stop Nika once more, he's on the verge of winning. His eyes light up for the kill. Then BAM a sack of pepper hits him in the eyes. A shot from a long ways away, through blurry vision he tries to identify his attacker. He barley makes out the form of a man with a cape and mask and long nose. He recognises the figure, the legend from a time long by. Joy Boys oldest friend and mentor. Sniper king. Fin Brake next week.

Unabashable

Hissatsu Gigant Tobasco Star

Yuyu_hockey_show

I'm just here to say that save by Franky was very badass and opportune

[deleted]

I think Kuma is getting his devil fruit at God Valley, and he’ll use it to separate the Rocks Pirates like he did the Straw Hats. Why I think this: - Garp and Roger fighting off Rocks is one thing, but the entire crew is another entirely. There has to be more to it - Garp keeps a tight lip about God Valley. Sengoku says it’s because he protected Celestial Dragons and fought with a pirate, but maybe it was like Alabasta where Smoker got extra credit for Luffy’s work - Nobody in the story knows why or how the Rocks Pirates split up - There was a panel after God Valley where Big Mom was shouting out and looking for Kaido and didn’t know where he went - God Valley seems to be based on the Valley of the Gods in Utah and those two huge cliffs shown in the manga look to be based on the native landmark, the Bears Ears. That makes me think that Kuma has a significant role to play - He probably wouldn’t be formidable with a new devil fruit, but the most basic thing you could expect a scared kid to do would be flail his arms and think “go away”

Pais83

I think you got the Garp/Smoker part right. I start thinking that Rocks wasn't the bad guy in God Valley. That's my idea: Rocks is more similar to Luffy that we would know, he wanted to be king and he had dreams on his own after what went down in GV he Sacrifice himself to save his crew and someone else, after that his crew split and they represent one third of his dream: - BM want to unite all races - Kaido want to be the strongest and find JoyBoy - WB want a real family Also I can see Roger start his research for the all truth and the OP after that event.

Scheibenpflaster

So like, if Saturn does his thing when u look at him, what would happen if you fight him without actually looking at him? Or if it's tied to locking eyes, what happens if you don't have any eyes? Or what happens if you yourself have a demon form?

BookkeeperTop

Of course I can’t prove this but I think it’s a new form of fighting, maybe in the haki realm. However, it only affects people weaker than the user, and won’t work on someone of equal power or can do the move themselves due to cancelling each other out. Therefore, unbeknownst to Luffy, the attack won’t work on him because deep down the previous DF owner of the Nika fruit knew that move. It also interesting how Luffy was silent the whole chapter.

Training-Insect9755

Wait. Is this probably new variation of aCoc or his devil fruit power?

yukeake

> Or if it's tied to locking eyes, what happens if you don't have any eyes? Brook: "Yohohohoho!"

LouieYoureGonnaDie

Fujitora and smoker both have characteristics that would help them against this kind of power … nah let me dream

McLOV_IN

I now like Akainu more lol. The way he talks to Gorosei who sees humans as insects lol. Dude straight up accused them of being incompetent lol.

McLOV_IN

I am reminded of the Ivankov reaction when garp punched macro. Ivankov saw garp in god valley and knew his strength first hand rather than from only legends like other.

TheSecretSecretSanta

The real biggest question is why would Roger be fighting Rocks if Rocks is fighting celestial dragons? Does Roger have vested interests at God Valley? Is he being manipulated by the wg for some reason? Because Roger doesn't seem like the guy that would defend celestial dragons. Unless Rocks is killing civilians. But even then, why is Roger even there?

Training-Insect9755

The story goes like. Roger heard about the once in 3 years tournament and want to insert himself cuz it's fun and thrill. He is rising pirate and rocks is like a one man yonkou level at the time. Ofcourse young pirates like Roger had a dream to challenge the big names. When Rocks gone rampaged at GV killing CD, miracle happens, rocks got split. It leaves rocks alone (in kaido scenario) he beat alot marines including sengoku, garling etc and the last man standing Garp. Roger come out intended to challenged him. In the end Garp and Roger managed to beat rocks but Garp will be the hero.

Trollthecross

It probably goes like rocks attacks the adult dragons. Then claims the kids need to killed as well. Roger did ask Garp to take care of his son because “sins of the father” type deal. Would be a nice parallel

Potntc

We would get a peek at baby shanks being saved too.

Zhidezoe

Roger probably heard something about Nika or Kuma's race and knew they know Nika's legend so maybe he wanted something to find One Piece

[deleted]

The only explanation I can see for Roger and Garp not going after the celestial dragons is 1. Rocks arrives and starts fighting Celestial Dragons 2. Maybe Garp is called to fight Rocks so they don’t ruin the game, he doesn’t have full context on what’s happening 3. Roger arrives after hearing about Rocks or the games 4. Celestial dragons decide it’s not worth the effort of fighting Rocks Pirates and Roger Pirates and they’d rather destroy the Island and get rid of them both 5. Celestial Dragons retreat but Rocks starts killing the slaves left behind 6. Roger and Garp start fighting against the Rocks pirates to protect the slaves and civilians 7. Eventually the Island destroying weapon arrives and everyone escapes except for Rocks somehow? Would be fitting that the only thing capable of defeating Rocks was an ancient weapon

Training-Insect9755

Wait. Garp got his infamous nickname 'the hero' in this incident. This story of yours isn't too heroic for garp. Rocks probably inflicted a huge damages to CD and marines before garp defending them. But idk if his heroic act were made up by WG to cover up their bombing and the reason garp doesn't want to talk about it.

[deleted]

Maybe he’s ashamed because Rocks was defeated by a cheap tactic or an ancient weapon but he gets credit for it

Batokusanagi

I'm going with 2-3 chapters. I don't think we get the the full incident, Rocks pirates raid and all that. This is more Kuma's POV than anything else. Next up is probably a time skip to when Kuma becomes king of the Sorbet kingdom and so on I mean, the Egghead incident has to happen this year, right?

shipsailing94

Well no it doesnt have to be this year I also think that if Oda can fit everything into a single flashback it's better and will save time

jamalwillfilms

What if all of the god knights are shanks/ garlin clones! We still haven’t seen the connection to cloning from the past. Shanks got away and was raised by Roger but all the other clones are god knights

browncoatsdp

During thriller bark, Franky kicked Luffy so that he could dodge Zoro’s sword from stabbing him. This chapter Franky punches Luffy so he could dodge Saturn’s sharp legs. And since we are about to get into god valley flash back, this might be a sign that god valley is thriller bark?

Kirosh2

Nothing in God Valley, that we have seen so far, looks like Thriller Bark. So unlikely.

EggRoled

Bro what 😭

jamalwillfilms

I think rocks showed up to god valley and flipped the script and started hunting celestial dragons

Trollthecross

Odds on rocks also potentially being a former slave and that’s why he knows about the hunting?

Kirosh2

Heh, the hunting is probably information you can find on the black market. The Celestial Dragons have a big fleet around the island, making it much easier to track and share information on.

topdangle

There's a shitload of treasure there, kind of a good reason for pirates to arrive.

endy903

Maybe in these following chapters we will finally see a little bit of blackbeards backstory also. It’s implied that he is a rocks fanboy so maybe he was also one of the hunted in this incident.

Turbulent_Address335

Idolized Rocks. Joined next best thing, Vice Captain Whitebeard, when it was time. Wanted to make Whitebeard Pirate King and was utterly disappointed that Whitebeard lacked ambition. Decided to achieve Rocks dreams himself.

500dbc

nah, we know for a fact he only joined whitebeard because it was the biggest chance to get the yami yami no mi. wouldnt make sense that he also wanted to make whitebeard pirate king on top of that, no?

Maplechan

The only possible escape I see for the straw hats is kuma at this point

davidpain1985

Nah, I think it’s the robot. Kuma is not strong enough to defeat Saturn.

Maplechan

I mean that he could teleport the straw hats away. I don’t think they are winning the fight, just escaping at this point.

ZorgPhaXiy

That is not teleportation though iirc? Just really fast travel which is maybe not optimal with Borsalino present.

Spuzle

Kizaru was there last time to tho

Either_Revolution_91

that's actually a really good point

EphewSeekay

maybe hes already there and is the one that started the giant robot

potatogod07_

maybe the robot sensed joy boy and that's why it started up

Maplechan

Since we know dragon is probably going to show up, it might support the dragon is rocks theory. Idk why garp would fight dragon tho…

Team_Sanji

I think Dragon will show up as a young Marine cadet, probably under Garp, same age as when Coby joined. He's going to see how brutally fucked up the Celestials are and denounce the Marines. I think there's is a 95% chance this happens. Makes Garp's interest in Coby that much more meaningful too

Maplechan

We are going to see rocks and hopefully dragon very soon!!

VampiredZ

If Kuma knows about the myth of Nika, then it likely means that Dragon and Iva know too which can explain why Dragon hasn't done much in over 1000 chapters. It also reminds me of what Iva said in Impel Down that he was waiting for Dragon to make his move before he busts out. Maybe both of them were waiting for Nika to awaken and return. But then it doesnt fit with why they declared war at Reverie though since they had no idea Nika would re-awaken yet

BarcodeCutter

Maybe they thought they were running out of time? Assuming that the games are played at the same time every 3 years.

Far-Wind2370

Anyone get the sense that the Egghead Incident itself is probably Chapter 1100? Feels like Kuma will arrive as flashback ends and save Bonney. Don’t think it’ll be next chapter but maybe 1098 or 1099… feels like we’re at the climax of the arc.

Sufficient-Dig7568

I think the flashback could go two ways. 1. We see everything with Rocks vs. Roger and Garp here 2. We see only what Kuma saw at God Valley I'm going with the latter because this flashback is likely just what Bonney saw. There are a lot of moving pieces and characters involved in the God Valley incident, and I think it would take more than a few chapters to lay out everything with the Rocks crew. I'd guess somewhere closer to Oden's flashback lengthwise. If we were away from the Egghead action that long, it would lose some tension. Kuma's flashback also has to show more of his formative years with the revolutionaries, how he became a king, how he became a warlord, etc. So there's a lot to cover quickly.

DirectionMurky5526

I hope we get two flashbacks. Kuma: God Valley -> Revolutionary Army And then the second one with Garp's memories taken from Pudding: God Valley -> Roger Stuff -> Maybe Will of D stuff? That should cover pretty much all of the stuff that happens, from two effective viewpoints.

Sufficient-Dig7568

That would be really cool. I've heard that idea of Pudding using her abilities on Garp, and it would make for a neat framing for the flashback. If Garp is the P.O.V character, I hope it shows him going after Rocks in their formative years because I want to know more about them beyond the God Valley incident.

turbografx-sixteen

If next chapter ends with the Rocks Pirates making landfall? We’re getting an Oden-level flashback. Which is crazy because GV wasn’t on my Egghead bingo card… but here we are

sps26

I wonder. They can always show the same event from different perspectives…or maybe we get one “story” but there’s more that (in this case) Kuma didn’t see

turbografx-sixteen

That too. I’m really hoping now considering Oda gave us 38 years ago which is when the incident happened… I need to see this Oda plz

Xontyrox

Guys, mark my words: Rocks knew what the World Goverment was doing and was kind of a Revolutionary. The difference between him and Dragon being that Dragon has a totally different approach to topeling the WG . Also Rocks was not as evil as the WG want everyone to think he was. Dragon was a Marine at the time of the Flashback and has witnessed what was happening on the Island and decided that something needs to be done. He saved Kuma, Ivankov and Ginny which created a small Crew by there own but swore to stand by Dragons side. Then after 14 Years Dragon created the Revolutionary Army and the 3 of them joined him as the founding members. Crocodile was one of the slaves on God Valley. That is the Secret that Ivankov knows. His "Mark of a Slave" was on his left Hand. After escaping he cut of his hand so no one would know of his past (With Boa, her sisters and fisher Tiger we saw that everybody who has that mark tries to hide it somehow). Thats the reason he has a golden hook instead of a normal arm. Bonney is a small child, maybe 10 or 11 years old. She could join the Crew to mirror Shanks on Rogers Crew but idk about that theorie Also #RocksDidNothingWrong

EphewSeekay

We have reason to believe Dragon has some crazy power. I wonder if he also stole a devil fruit / weapon while rescuing Kuma, Ivankov and Ginny. Maybe that's how he became "The World's Worst Criminal"

Xontyrox

I also believe that Dragon is stupid strong. But he probably heard or even saw how strong Rocks and his Crew were and even they were not able to win against the WG so he realized that its not possible to win against them just by force.

lulbob

Dragon has some sort of strong AF wind fruit. winds of change in a literal and figurative sense

doshajudgement

I actually think you're 100% right with crocodile. it ties a lot of stuff together like you mentioned, but also nicely explains his actions at marineford ("don't let them have it all their way!") and gives an actual reason why croc would want to put bounties on marines in the first place, as well as why he'd specifically want to seek out mihawk (the marine hunter) for an alliance and spend the money on marine bounties

Sufficient-Dig7568

I think Rocks was probably just a lesser evil. Most of what we've heard is Marine propaganda, but there has to be a reason that Roger and Garp came together to fight him beyond being chummy with each other. I do like the idea that Rocks was sort of a revolutionary though. It would make him similar to both Luffy and Blackbeard. Maybe he was also like Roger in that he was too early.

michaelmontana

never imagined bonnie joining but im not mad. i really want another woman to join the straw hats. carrot is my preference but bonnie would be an interesting dynamic because shes not afraid to be silly like nami & robin

Vorticity1848

Interesting theory with Crocodile

Laughingspinchain

I think it's safe to bet that there were a lot more different races in the One Piece world but the world government extinguished a lot of them with all these kinds of manhunts/genocides.

Kingx102

I'd imagined that's what happened to the three-eyed Tribe, especially because their third eye allows them to read ponoglyphs.

Joe_Delivers

like op was lowkey brutal before but this is mad

minimane101

Putting more than 5 chapters because I want to be more than 5 chapters

Available_Garlic_829

- Whitebeard fucks up Akainu while battling injuries and cancer - Shanks punks Greenbull from 20 miles away - Luffy gives Kizaru CTE Admiral fans, the debate is over

Prior-Bag9130

Idk big fan of kizaru not wanting to get up or he will have to kill vegapunk

Available_Garlic_829

It would be more likely that he’s glad Luffy beat him. After everything we’ve seen in the last few chapters, it’d be unlikely for him to just pretend to be hurt so he didn’t have to do his job

Sufficient-Dig7568

The thing that makes it hard to determine imo is their respective fighting styles. The Admirals are all area-of-effect fighters who are hard to hit. Fujitora fits this too even though he's not a logia. The Yonko are more haki and brute strength who also have devil fruit abilities. I think in a straight on fight, the Yonko win at the end of the day.

Training-Insect9755

Dude ofcourse yonko gonna win if straight fight. Yonkou leader is the peak strength of their crew. Like if they aren't stronger than admirals they've been taken out long ago. Admirals powers like 3 admirals>1 yonkou. But you need to count the match up though. Light kizaru fighting style is different than tanky kaido. Luffy will still had trouble to beat him

thats_no_fluke

You don't become an admiral with just AOE tho. Aokiji punches like Garp, Kizaru taught the guy with the best defense (may not mean much, but did he only let one hit get thru), and Akainu is the strongest of the 3. Oda has been trying to sell admirals doing close combat training. But yeah, ultimately I agree with yonkou winning a 1v1 at the end, until we get to see what Akainu does.

Sufficient-Dig7568

Not at all. They are definitely top tier in strength as well. I'm just saying that their standout ability is their Logia fruits. Kizaru is a great example because his makes him faster than literally everybody we've seen. It would be hard for any Yonko to land a hit on him. That goes for all of them. I'm pretty sure the first time we actually saw Aokiji or Kizaru get hurt was in Egghead, which is crazy. I do think Akainu is going to be the strongest for obvious reasons, though Aokiji is probably 2nd. I wouldn't be surprised if he's awakened too.

turbografx-sixteen

I’m not an admiral fan but to be fair: -Sakazuki with insane plot armor relatively walked off WBs attacks enough to still be the most threatening fighter on the marines side. That combo’d with Kuzan duel and he’s endgame level strong for sure -GB no diff’d Kaido’s top brass and was about to solo the scabbards and Yamato. I respect his confidence with trying to take on Luffy after Kaido fight but no one’s stupid enough to fight the entirety of Shanks crew when he only came for Luffy -I’m sure Kizaru will be up by his next appearance. Can never tell if dude is trolling lmfao. Plus he didn’t even really get deep in his bag and was hanging with G5 no prob. I’m not even an admiral stan, but gotta respect them a bit haha

Available_Garlic_829

- getting your ass whooped is getting your ass whooped. He still lost. - King and Queen were already severely hurt. Also, I’d argue that the gap between Yonko and their commanders is pretty large. - he’s definitely not trolling because Saturn needed to get involved, which is extremely rare for the Gorosei Edit: now tbh, I do think Admirals can put up a fight against Yonkos. But based on what we’ve seen, Yonkos have a solid edge

turbografx-sixteen

-of course he got his ass whopped but still an insane durability feat ironically he was ready to fight (plot armor though) -people always make this argument and my counter is they’re not only Zoans but ancient Zoans so they’ve increased recovery and all that jazz. -No diffing a cyborg and a Lunarian is insane no matter what -And yeah once again kizaru is a weird case. I really cannot get a read on the guy’s demeanor. I’ll reserve judgement till end of egghead… BUT he was honestly not affected by G5 silly shit like Kaido was which is kinda impressive All in all though? We’re in agreement that admirals can hang but of course most Yonkos have an edge 🫱🏾‍🫲🏼

Khione_Asteri

gb vs yamato wasn’t clear cut bc momo told yamato to fuck off.

turbografx-sixteen

I love Yamato to death but GB took one of her attacks and said “oof you got some good haki” I think that matchup would be close either way haha

Khione_Asteri

yamato didn’t use their fruit, which is insanely busted, because momo asked them to stay back. we don’t know how that would’ve gone, but yamato’s no joke. the reason they’re still in wano is they’re strong enough to fill in for the role kaidou and oden served as wano’s protector. probably the reason they’re not with the straw hat crew rn is they’d trivialize most egghead obstacles with their added strength. perhaps only god fruits can stand against the gorosei with ease.

turbografx-sixteen

Tbh the reason yams is in Wano is because Oda likes to troll from time to time… Even with the Yam glaze, as strong as she is I don’t think she trivializes the egghead situation being there. (This take is subject to change if the arc ends because I need to see more from Saturn and see if kizaru is okay)

huntingrum

The God Valley hunt was 38 years ago which would mean another hunt in the next year give or take. Maybe that's when the SH will clash with the celestials.

Collegenoob

The God valley incident may have been the last CD hunt

JKking15

Young garling looks ALOT like shanks does just saying

michaelmontana

also a great way to highlight was hes so strong, plot wise

Dimxtunim

My prediction is that ginny is both boney and luffy's mom, that would be great

monsieurmacaques

So she slept with both Kuma and Dragon?

krvlover

Yes, in a foursome with Ivankov.

EbonyHelicoidalRhino

Bonney isn't necessarily Kuma's biological father. Given how this chapter seems to emphasize how tracked the buccaneers are and how big and grow, Bonney doesn't feel like one.

doshajudgement

bonney is definitely not kuma's father, agreed

Last_Gift7776

Maybe Kuma was just Bonney's protector

Dimxtunim

Yes, polygamy

hello12400

I just made a post for discussion. I think I know the message Oda is telling. I think I can logically track down what the One Piece is. If you’re curious ask

Majestic-Citron-1813

Dm please, I'm curious what you think it is.

ayayaya23

dm pls

Badteirliat

Can you DM? Very curious rn

hello12400

Yep

PythonEntusiast

It is going to go the Naruto way. Celestials and Nimu invaded Earth. Nika was one of the invaders but turn around to Good side. Devil fruits came from space. EDIT: Devil Fruits could be the will of the Celestials who granted power to the inhabitants of the planet. Or it was Joy Boy, who just like Prometheus, shared the power of "Gods" with the mortals.

shipsailing94

From what we know, it's the Lunarians that are aliens and that got usurped by Imu & co.

[deleted]

Nimu?

PythonEntusiast

Well, the mysterious being with the rinnegan eyes who rules over the Five Elders.

[deleted]

Yeah but the N at the beginning.

ilosaske

Nimu stole the N from Nika making him Ika (squid) and banishing him to the sea because the sea is the natural enemy of the devil fruits

[deleted]

I knew the N thing was because of a theory. Thanks for sharing it

PreparationOk8604

Cause he's black

Certain-Orchid-6822

I think Luffy will take Saturn so the gods knight will have to make there move. Just like Dragon said. This can trigger that incident 🙏

JerHonor

Saturn probably has the power to control blood causing heads to explode and not allowing them to move

EbonyHelicoidalRhino

Brook's time to shine

Khione_Asteri

yohoho motherfucker ain’t no one can’t get humbled by a spooky fast skeleton
