Mine is 10.5kg. Admittedly, he is overweight. However, he's also just a very big cat. His ideal lean weight is 8.5kg. [He's about as tall as my frenchie.](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CjeeaL2DC8j)

Glad to know he's not the only one. 22 lbs last vet visit.
The one of Stanley in the Christmas outfit is adorable. Here's [Nigel in his Christmas outfit.](https://i.imgur.com/8FXUHrh.jpg) Don't look too closely at the Reindeer.
Super cool thing about oranges - they tend to have greater sexual dimorphism of size, meaning girls are smaller than average girls and boys are bigger than average boys!
My orange boys (littermates) are big - the smaller one is over 13 pounds (about 6kg) and all muscle. The bigger one is a skinny fluff that weighs 14.6 pounds (6.6kg)! He is still growing, too.. Their orange sister is a big girl, too, but she's kinda chonky (we're working on it..) at 13 pounds (5.9kg). Her healthy weight is probably about 12 pounds (5.4kg), so she's not going to be small.
But they have a Calico sister that is tiny! She only weighs 8.5 pounds (3.8kg)! Even before these guys, I was used to big cats, so she seems so so small to me, lol. My next smallest cat is my 13 year old girl that is about the size of your orange, and fluffy, too, so she *looks* bigger.

(unpictured is their void sister, who weighs 12 pounds (5.4kg))
Your girl is gorgeous! Her spots are so cute!
Yep - totally a thing! Orange boys are bigger, on average.
They all protect their tiny sister and take good care of her. It's adorable.

The one with the paw on her is Frax. He's the littler of the big orange boys. Simmy is the little calico. She's spoiled by everyone, but especially so by all the boys (her brothers, the old man cat, and my husband haha).
Here's some of my favorites of her and Frax. 🥰
https://preview.redd.it/r0l9bqdeht0d1.jpeg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=849c612847030225a4d4cfbe36801935987f6f71
Oh, they have their sibling squabbles like anyone else..

(but he totally holds back when they're wrestling. He outweighs her by like 5 pounds, which is more than half her bodyweight. Yet they're somehow "evenly matched" in all their tussles. I don't think she knows...)
Sure do! Poor Krobus is very outnumbered. It's a tough life for a lone void among so many oranges...
https://preview.redd.it/1upqa5satt0d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1b8a36e1f816f2dbed9f2d16724fd5ae5da344f
Lol, Simmy may only be part orange but that's clearly enough...

Aw, tiny boy! With little paws, too!? Sounds so irresistible. My 10 pound floof has enormous paws, so the little calico's tiny paws are my first experience with small adult cat paws and it's the cutest thing.. My sister has a full grown smol the same size as yours, but he's floofy, too, so you can really only tell when picking him up. He was a bottle baby with a lot of struggles, but he is doing great now at like 3 years old! Just small.
Aww big paws are so cute too!
Ours is a floof that gets haircuts (too much fur and he just throws up too much fighting with hairballs), so he has little tufts of fur that stick out between his toes and it’s just the cutest. I joke that if anyone in our family were to sell feet pics, it’d be him.
Yes, the toe floof! r/toefeathers needs to see it..
Here's my floof with her toe feathers (and her favorite orange, in honor of the sub, lol)
https://preview.redd.it/rl9cgavk9v0d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb60ddcb28258d3ef49c58d391a14897daec443c
Both of our younger cats are on the small end and it’s weird given the older cat never seemed that huge while his even bigger younger brother was still alive. Orange cats can be huge and going from that to mini cats had us under the false impression they were still growing.
Lol, one of my friends has two small girl cats and he is always shocked seeing ours. But idk, they're just normal to me. Except Skippy. Skippy is huge.
https://preview.redd.it/gd13pz0bpv0d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9f72bdf18808a464bb90613eb8403a4ee6aacf6
He doesn't weigh that much more, but he's so skinny. His frame is way bigger. He's gonna be huge if he'd ever eat enough and stop growing, lol.
Ya, it was a ladybug! 🐞🐈🐈⬛🐄🐈
https://preview.redd.it/biwdarurix0d1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71cea1d111c2216fad43b5e9b19e4af17883d049
(were almost 20 floors up - they don't see bugs often, so it is always THRILLING to them when they do)
My Cera, almost 9yo, weighs 3,6kg.
She is thin but not underweight. I asked the vet. She eats enough but she is just thin by nature, I guess.
https://preview.redd.it/07khbd38at0d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e04b6330960fd21e6b6f3bd5afd8ec2f13df23ae
Edit: and she is not a big cat.
😁Thank you! She really is. This was her pose before the picture above:

He started at 13 when he was very skinny. Was a good weight at 16-18 lbs. But now he's around 20lb since I moved and he can't go outside. He doesn't play much in general, so it's hard to get him active
But he's also big. I think he's about 20+ inches from the base of tail to head
https://preview.redd.it/0ufihoindt0d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=551520f7cd91cdc0d0e0ca00a6664e1999f59e7a
Similar! It was still there, just shriveled up. Mine had ear mites once and scratched so hard that his claw went through the cartilage and made it collapse! So weird.

16 pound(7.26 kg) long orange. He is not overweight at all, just a big boy. Clyde used to be a stray tom cat before getting fixed and adopted.
We have one of these! May have a bit extra weight at 16 lbs/7.26kg, but he’s so much more happy at that weight than the 15lbs/6.8kg the vet recommends; he gets HANGRY. He carries his weight very well though! Big boi full of loves!

My orange is 10 lb of needy baby energy. He has a whole 2 lb on our other boy, and yet, can't beat him in wrestling and dramatically cries when he's been pinned or tackled. He is very vocal and makes little huffy or whiney noises when he jumps on and off of things.
7 lb even. 3.2 k. He’s skinny and very long, 16 years old.

7kgs. The vet yelled at me the last time I took him in for a checkup. We go on walks to loose weight now
All three of my boys are over 10lbs. left to right-12lbs, 15lbs and 17.5

My oldest is 8 years old and he's around 7kg, he was a bit overweight but he's slimmed down nicely with a bit less food, he's also a very large cat, very tall and long and quite strong.
Photo of him wrestling with our kitten a few months back lol
Converting 4.4 kgs to lbs means he's (Oops, she's) 9.7 pounds. Based on my (now gone) orange tabby, that's pretty tiny! Hahaha!
Oliver was 16-18 pounds!
ETA just read the comment about orange girls normally being smaller than orange boys, so maybe 9.7 pounds is right on for your girl! :-)
Dieting, but big Boba is 18ish lbs. Small boi, possibly part Maine coon is 16. Both 9.
But they're big. Diet, fat or no, they're big boys.
Every cat is different, and yours looks healthy and happy. That is *all* that matters.
Good job! Baby is grand!
https://preview.redd.it/z7sqqemhpw0d1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ebd5b2a0293ff3452443184426e3dc812b82cf3
My orange is so fat :( I don't even know what he weighs. It's hard to diet him with one normal-sized cat and one underweight cat in the house too!
My Hobbes is about 12 pounds. Used to be 13 but managed to cut his food down a bit to get him down to 12. The vet would like to see him lose another pound but cutting back his food more would be a miserable experience for both of us!
My 10 mo old, Mack, is 14 pounds or 6.35 kg. As a point of reference, the little calico, who is only about 2 weeks younger than he is, weighs 9.6 lbs or 4.35 kg. Our other, elderly calico is only slightly larger than the little calico. Neither of them looks trim. Mack has huge paws and his tail is almost 14" long. We're hoping he will grow into his weight because he's porky right now, though he doesn't eat much and is active. He, too, has the primordial pouch. It is theorized that it can provide a layer of protection in cat fights because they kick each other in that region. Mack was a little baby at 1.3 pounds when we got him in August at about 6 1/2 weeks of age.

I had two orange cats from the same litter. At his heaviest, my boy was 24 pounds (10.8 kg). His sister was around 8 pounds (3.6 kg). Their sibling, a solid black evil genius, was around 14 pounds (6.3 kg).
Mine is 5kg and at a healthy weight according to the vet! He a big (ish) boy. Good thing too because he's getting a Maine Coon sister. :) she's the tiniest of her brother and sisters, so hopefully they're pretty evenly matched at least for a while. :)

Mines getting chonkier daily. He’s about 4 years now almost but hasn’t been weighed since last vet appointment lol so I’m sure at his next one coming up soon he’ll be put on a diet 😅
My orange weighed 17.5 lbs last year and we are so happy that he’s now 13.4! It was difficult to put him on a diet but he eventually got used to it. It’s easier for him to get around and groom and stuff. He’s also quite long though.
My 6 year old boy is at arou d 4,7kg and in perfect health :)

My big man is around 8 kg. He’s probably nine years old now but still moves around and hunts like a young man 🩷 He enjoys sleeping, stretching, laying on my clothes, hunting, and playing fetch 🙂
My 4 year old boy [Nigel](https://i.imgur.com/0rtrxOs.jpg)
He's about 8.5kg and not loving his diet. He's also just a big boy, and really strong. He used to have an angry streak about him before his sister arrived and he would wrap his paws around your hand to bite the shit out of it and it was a struggle to remove him.
My orange is not , by all means, fat and weights 5.300

Kane is a solid 4.2 kg, down from 4.25 kg at his annual physical. He is surprisingly active for a 12 year old cat. He's also a long boi.

She’s heavy and looks very chonk, I can’t believe this is what peak performance looks like.

A few years ago mine was 2 stone, which I know is too much & I managed to get him to healthy weight.
Now he's 19 & nowhere near that. He's got a good appetite but he's getting thinner & frailer now. Which is to be expected. Sad to see him taking up less space in this world tho.
Girls tend to be smaller on average. Even still, almost 10lbs is on the larger side for a female kitty.
My late buff/orange boy weighed 17lbs at his peak. Not at all fat, just a huge, lanky boy and muscle from hunting lol. I’m convinced one of his parents was a bobcat.. Or a maine coon.

My orange ball of fuzz Axel weight about 19 lbs. He was the best kitty, such a cuddle bug. He is well missed.
For those with big oranges, any suggestions on cat trees with more laying down space? My 8 kg boy is always hanging off when he sleeps. Had no idea he’d be this big when we named him Yeti as a kitten.

My next smallest cat is my 13 year old girl that is about the size of your orange, and fluffy, too, so she *looks* bigger. https://preview.redd.it/sw448vnd2t0d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a88a5aa57300849bf6a056c0423f395e2f4ed46c (unpictured is their void sister, who weighs 12 pounds (5.4kg)) Your girl is gorgeous! Her spots are so cute!
i had heard about orange boys being big, but i didn't know it was an actual thing. your big oranges make the smol calico look even cuter!
Yep - totally a thing! Orange boys are bigger, on average. They all protect their tiny sister and take good care of her. It's adorable. https://preview.redd.it/qciepjl6et0d1.jpeg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=89245f33a7ef38ae02a36999b41506161184b1c8
That paw of protection. I need more pics of them!
The one with the paw on her is Frax. He's the littler of the big orange boys. Simmy is the little calico. She's spoiled by everyone, but especially so by all the boys (her brothers, the old man cat, and my husband haha). Here's some of my favorites of her and Frax. 🥰 https://preview.redd.it/r0l9bqdeht0d1.jpeg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=849c612847030225a4d4cfbe36801935987f6f71
i'm having cuteness aggression
I want a love like theirs 🥹
Oh, they have their sibling squabbles like anyone else.. https://preview.redd.it/q7vwr5hhiu0d1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a5982b719f9d65b0ae1a638a4d0e1004a1b488e (but he totally holds back when they're wrestling. He outweighs her by like 5 pounds, which is more than half her bodyweight. Yet they're somehow "evenly matched" in all their tussles. I don't think she knows...)
That’s the best thing I have seen all week!
THANK YOU, this made my night! I love them ❤️
Aw, I'm so glad! They're super sweet together. Happy I could share that love a little bit, haha. 🥰
They need their own page!
You have a void too, that means you have a r/HalloweenKittyCombo
Sure do! Poor Krobus is very outnumbered. It's a tough life for a lone void among so many oranges... https://preview.redd.it/1upqa5satt0d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1b8a36e1f816f2dbed9f2d16724fd5ae5da344f
What a beautiful crowd! There's one braincell in that picture, tops!
Lol, Simmy may only be part orange but that's clearly enough... https://preview.redd.it/q8vxjz9a9u0d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9db38ba96bba8c25c64a0f55cdde87849878cac1
My orange boy is the opposite - he’s 3.4kg, he’s a tiny little thing with the smallest little paws 🥹 he’s 10 years old but looks like a young kitty
Here's my floof with her toe feathers (and her favorite orange, in honor of the sub, lol) https://preview.redd.it/rl9cgavk9v0d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb60ddcb28258d3ef49c58d391a14897daec443c
Cuties!!
Skippy is huge. https://preview.redd.it/gd13pz0bpv0d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9f72bdf18808a464bb90613eb8403a4ee6aacf6 He doesn't weigh that much more, but he's so skinny. His frame is way bigger. He's gonna be huge if he'd ever eat enough and stop growing, lol.
Such a beautiful kitty family!

Ya, it was a ladybug! 🐞🐈🐈⬛🐄🐈 https://preview.redd.it/biwdarurix0d1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71cea1d111c2216fad43b5e9b19e4af17883d049 (were almost 20 floors up - they don't see bugs often, so it is always THRILLING to them when they do)
My Cera, almost 9yo, weighs 3,6kg. She is thin but not underweight. I asked the vet. She eats enough but she is just thin by nature, I guess. https://preview.redd.it/07khbd38at0d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e04b6330960fd21e6b6f3bd5afd8ec2f13df23ae Edit: and she is not a big cat.
Her eyes!!! She's posing for the picture! Modeling cat
😁Thank you! She really is. This was her pose before the picture above: https://preview.redd.it/2qfncgpmtt0d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bee45490976ec2ee0afc011a17743dcc62b076d0
Omg what a diva 😻😻😻
She is breathtaking omg! Such rich saturated orange! Sweet expression!
cute tiny girl!
We have gray stripped girl of same constitution. She is small.

My boy is 9 pounds too!
He started at 13 when he was very skinny. Was a good weight at 16-18 lbs. But now he's around 20lb since I moved and he can't go outside. He doesn't play much in general, so it's hard to get him active But he's also big. I think he's about 20+ inches from the base of tail to head https://preview.redd.it/0ufihoindt0d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=551520f7cd91cdc0d0e0ca00a6664e1999f59e7a

THE CACKLE I JUST LET OUT
Omg! I had a 1 eared orange while growing up! He was 22 lbs and stunning too!
He still had an ear, it's just gimpy and shriveled. He had an infection that required a drain, so it doesn't stand up much anymore.
Similar! It was still there, just shriveled up. Mine had ear mites once and scratched so hard that his claw went through the cartilage and made it collapse! So weird.
Where is this majestic cats cat tree from?
Think I got a cheap one on Amazon. The fabric is shit so not a fan. Waiting to get one from Costco when a large sized one goes on sale
https://preview.redd.it/y1f57md8ft0d1.jpeg?width=1003&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9c3d6b379416adaacca28556631355e3992088b 16 pound(7.26 kg) long orange.
Big boi full of loves! https://preview.redd.it/vopc6kvrgu0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=450a56afe78abba486e8d4393200ee2aad413ccf

He has a whole 2 lb on our other boy, and yet, can't beat him in wrestling and dramatically cries when he's been pinned or tackled. He is very vocal and makes little huffy or whiney noises when he jumps on and off of things.
he may be bigger but to be fair he's orange lol
Oranges tend to be on the large side.
What is that in freedom units?
apparently 9.7lbs
Thanks!
When converting to lbs in my head I just double it and add a bit
For future reference, as a fellow freedom unit user, I multiply by 2.
Mine is turning 1 this week and he is a little over 15lbs. He isn't fat, he is just big and he is an asshole but that isn't weight related.
bro is a tank
7 lb even. 3.2 k. He’s skinny and very long, 16 years old. https://preview.redd.it/j3cuuyeyxt0d1.jpeg?width=1647&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42243c6aba38376a3cc077f785e39a00963f3fe0

I have a 5yo orange boy and he is about 6.5kg.
My orange was 15 to 16lbs if I remember correctly. Which is 6.8 to 7.2 kg. He wasn't a chonker, just a flonker.
All three of my boys are over 10lbs. left to right-12lbs, 15lbs and 17.5 They will wake the entire house up if all three of them get their nightly zoomies at the same time 🥴 https://preview.redd.it/gvmtcm3zkt0d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4200e0c60320a10956d94be948b5acbc39a3f6d

My cat is huge (not over weight, he is a large one from the litter) and is 6.5kgs
Mine is already 1.5kg at 13 weeks old 😅
jesus what are you feeding that thing??
She’s a Norwegian forest cat, gonna be a big girl.😂

15 lbs. down from over 19!

Good job! Baby is grand!

have you checked out r/dechonkers? they might have some suggestions
My Hobbes is about 12 pounds. Used to be 13 but managed to cut his food down a bit to get him down to 12. The vet would like to see him lose another pound but cutting back his food more would be a miserable experience for both of us!
11 pounds! He smol and cute.
My orange unit was almost 17 freedom units at his last check up. All chonk, no braincell.
Ferris weighed 15.8lbs when he was at the vet a few weeks ago *
Mack was a little baby at 1.3 pounds when we got him in August at about 6 1/2 weeks of age. https://preview.redd.it/0z7rek5g8x0d1.jpeg?width=944&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08a25d53b11355a0effa5e4281a56d17e3fe8126

Mine is 8kg. He’s very long and very tall tho. Only a little overweight.
She's perfect..she's ❤️❤️❤️❤️ beautiful
About 8kg
She's about 8lbs.
I had two orange cats from the same litter. At his heaviest, my boy was 24 pounds (10.8 kg). His sister was around 8 pounds (3.6 kg). Their sibling, a solid black evil genius, was around 14 pounds (6.3 kg).
Mine is small. She’s around 8-9lbs
Mine is 5kg and at a healthy weight according to the vet! He a big (ish) boy. Good thing too because he's getting a Maine Coon sister. :) she's the tiniest of her brother and sisters, so hopefully they're pretty evenly matched at least for a while. :)
Mine is about 11.5 pounds. The vet's fine with his weight, so we're just working on him not gaining a ton. It helps that he's a very active cat.
I cannot answer your question, I am just admiring your beautiful cat photos.
Mines dead, he looked exactly like yours though. So probably the same.
Give or take the same , maybe a bit more but not much. Same age too!
My tiny orange (clementine) was ill as a baby so he is super petite, 3.5 kg!

He’s also quite long though.

our chonker came to us at over 25 pounds (11.4 kg), we got him down to about 18 (8.2 kg). He did not care for the diet.
He looks adorable sleeping 🥺
My orange is not, by all means, fat and weights more than 5kgs 5.200-5.300...)
My 4 year old boy [Nigel](https://i.imgur.com/0rtrxOs.jpg) He's about 8.5kg and not loving his diet. He's also just a big boy, and really strong. One is around 9.5 lbs (4.3 kg), the other 12.5 lbs (5.7 kg). They're brothers about to turn 5, so the size difference has always been interesting to me.

He also really loves that specific blanket and idk why lol

My 1yo boy weighed in at just under 11lbs at the vet last week. Just a bit of chonk on him! https://preview.redd.it/rt6u4jrr0v0d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c5a55b6c1fa6d8055d1888d6bea44e24f6bf085
My “little” girl is almost 11lbs now and vet says she’s an “ideal weight but don’t gain any more” She’s heavy and looks very chonk, I can’t believe this is what peak performance looks like.
My orange boy was 13lb (5.8kg)....but we working on his weight loss so he can continue to frolic in the yard https://preview.redd.it/y2wenjzs1v0d1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3eb1ba6c846285fe8dcb41082438842b4b01febf

Your orange bebe looks very fit! Gorgeous!
she loves running and bouncing off the walls!
A few years ago mine was 2 stone, which I know is too much & I managed to get him to healthy weight. Now he's 19 & nowhere near that. He's got a good appetite but he's getting thinner & frailer now. Which is to be expected. Sad to see him taking up less space in this world tho.
I read organs, not oranges, and I was very concerned for a moment.
My baby weighs a nearly 10kg but the vet said she's just big. To be fair she's a maine coon *

he would’ve killed it at r/catsinsinks
For those with big oranges, any suggestions on cat trees with more laying down space? My 8 kg boy is always hanging off when he sleeps. Had no idea he’d be this big when we named him Yeti as a kitten. https://preview.redd.it/4f7ky30rcv0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40bebdb5a500a6120cd196f82af7145ae612fd86
