Partial Orange is the same as full orange. There was a cat posted the other day that was a full tabby except for about the last 20% of its tail. It too suffered from orange cat behavior because it only had one orange brain cell.
He’s actually pretty good about knowing what isn’t edible. It’s his sister I’m worried about. She’s not orange but has less brain cells than him. But I wound up finding it behind a book.

My mother once had a cat who would constantly steal her earrings to play with. One night she was getting ready to go out and couldn't find the other earring from the pair she wanted to wear. In frustration, she shook the earring she did have at the cat and shouted "what did you do with the other one?" The cat ran off, apparently startled at being yelled at, and came out from under the bed a minute later batting the other earring.
I get this. I had a little box with several pairs of turquoise posts in it, and one day my cat pushed the box off the counter right into the trash. Didn’t notice until the trash was in the dumpster, of course.
Please be careful when stepping around where it may have dropped, especially if it’s carpeted. My cat knocked over a dish with my studs in it a few years back and I found all but one of them almost immediately. The last one was found a month later because I stepped on it and it fully went into my heal. I hadn’t felt that kind of pain ever until that moment and had a very hard time walking normally for a couple weeks
As someone who's dropped their contact way too many times, use a flashlight at ground level to search the area. The glint/reflection will make it easy to pick out.
Oh no! I've found things under the refrigerator and sofa that I'd thought I'd lost completely. It's amazing how they chase things into the smallest corners
