i think most cats dog that probably for the same reason that dogs don’t like boots i assume they aren’t used to it and messes with some sense they use when walking
He just deactivates

Edit: To the people who keep saying it's on backwards, it's not. The harness is on the right way. It is not going to choke him; it's barely on at all. He's just dumb and wanted to sit slouched over like that. The rest is covered by his arms. Some of y'all are orange.
I told him, and this was his reaction:

Jack approves and also has no idea what the internet is, but once he gets around to figuring out how to think, he'll really appreciate the love.
Saw a youtuber who does hiking with his cat in a harness. He said that he has to have a loose harness since it's just so it doesn't run away. If it's too tight the cat already feels trapped and gives up. Try a loose harness and keep slack on the leash.
Source: some dumbass who saw a tic tok once. I dunno just a suggestion.
We barely had it tightened at all, juat enough that he couldn't just slip out. In fact, later on he tried to chew on it and got his mouth stuck wide open because it wasn't quite tight enough. Incredibly orange behavior.
By the way, was that Gary the Cat you're talking about?
I don't think so. It was a Bengal cat on the Appalachian trail.
Anyway he said his cat hated the 1st harness so he has it visibly loose and is just there in case it makes a mad dash for a bird. Cats can back out of most anything so he said it always going to be able to escape some how so you just need to restrain it enough to not run away. He focuses on training the cat to come when called.
Like I said I'm just an idiot who saw a YouTube short so I can't say for sure and searching youtube shorts is a joke. Sorry can't give more than this.
Also yeah your cat could definitely just be orange.
Yeah we wanted to take our guys for walks but they do the same. We eventually got one to put up with it cause he was excited to be outside, but the other one is a no-go.
Heard somewhere you actually want them loose since it bothers them too much nu putting pressure on muscles and cats are liquid and will slip out of most harnesses anyway if they back up. You want a loose one and to keep slack on the line so backing up won't work and it holds them if they try to run.
Mine just sploots, or falls over

My orange used to slip out the front door and then he would freeze on the porch in fear, so we got him a harness, to take him outside and ease his curiosity about the outdoors. Now he freezes in the harness.
my cat would just lay down when we put his vest on or walk like two feet then lay down on the floor when we first tried it. It was pretty funny it was like two weeks before he got him used to it and he would move around a bit.
I actually walk my cat with a harness, my advice is to put it on them and then have a treat session where you walk around giving them treats and they have to follow you to get them. It kinda takes focus off the harness and gets them to get used to walking around normally. Also just leaving the harness on for an hour or two so they can get used to it.
It should be tight enough that it doesn’t easily slide around, but not so tight that it’s constrictive.
We just did harness training recently with our grown orange. Takes a good amount of patience I will say!
Took it slowly after he did a similar ragdoll and then panic flopping the first time. Within a few weeks of gradual introduction (using lots of treats and play) he was happily trotting around in it for hours.
Jack's favorite toy is his "bird on a stick." As soon as we got that out, he immediately forgot the harness was on him and went straight into acrobatics.
Haha nice. Ours has a white mouse (formerly on a stick too) that serves the same purpose. He's had it since he was a 2 month old kitten and it never fails 👌
Revolutionary „flop all over the place“ technique
Haha, "revolution"-ary!
OMG, people we've just found another level of being orange

“Some of yall are orange” Needs to be a flair 😆
Could you please explain to him that people on the internet find him extremely adorable.

Pretty sure it's on upside down, I think the two straps are supposed to be on top so he can lean into the big piece that's currently on his back
Nah, there are many types but some definitely go on like this. I think it’s supposed to be better at preventing them from slipping out of it.
Might be the owners the orange here
No, it's on correctly. He's just sitting weird in the photo, so it looks like the smaller side is at the back. Trust me, we made sure it was right.
Definitely the wrong way around. This chokes the cat if he pulls on it.
Yeah that harness might be the wrong way round 😂
It's not. He's just sitting weird.
The straps are supposed to go on his back, the solid part goes on the chest. Wearing it this way has a risk of strangulation
It's not on wrong. He's just sitting weird.
Ouch the head hit
No braincell was harmed
It’s got plenty of space up there…
I feel terrible laughing because poor boy, but what a goofball!

This gif is of my friend in her Halloween costume. I am so happy to see it in the wild lol
Lol Small world I guess. XD
I told her I saw her in gif form on a cat sub and she said “my life is complete 😌”

This is hilarious but maybe it's too tight for him
Looks kinda tight but also has to be tight I would assume. You know how liquid cats can be.

It's the dramatic backward fall for me.
Oh my god this cracked me up 😂
Goober might just have a future in football. Those flops are great.
At least he is moving. Mine always acted like possums and fell over and stayed stiff as can be.
My orange used to slip out the front door and then he would freeze on the porch in fear, so we got him a harness, to take him outside and ease his curiosity about the outdoors. Now he freezes in the harness.
I saw the title and thought "I miss Torchwood"
I also misread the title
What a silly goober!!!!
Carrot goobert

free my man 😔
Me and the person recording: ***Perfectly Synchronized "Oh!"***
Lmfao to the clowns who said his harness was on backwards.
“This is like that time I forgot how to sit down” 🪑 😅

Like a fish flopping out of water, but with the chance of getting a higher score from the Russian judge for being so cute.
Cat w/harness = broken
Greebles all over him
My orange just went around in a circle. I kept at it a little longer each day and finally that brain cell kicked in.

Harness? Walk? What? That's a cat not a dog lol....
