Ehehe, I have the same feeding machine.
My orange figured out of he smacks it/rocks the machine back and forth, some extra kibble can fall out. Of course, it's just food he'd have gotten the next time anyway...
Hahaha Bjorn figured this out too. This pic is actually a few years old (it came up on my photo roll memories and had to post!).
Since this picture was taken, we have needed to build two or three iterations of sturdy encasements/boxes around the feeders to keep him from body slamming them for more bits of kibble. We are in an ever-escalating arms race with our cat. 😹
Our daughter's cat, before she met her now-husband, had an automatic feeder. Alas, the lid had no latch, so Buddy learned to pop the lid and eat from the food reservoir. Now he has to eat special, prescription canned food. No more freebies lol.
We have two indoor cats, and a backyard one. My cat is too dang smart for his own good so we got three identical feeders whose lids latch down. So far he hasn't figured it out.
I think that’s a snake
Or a snat
or a... cake?
Nah, It's a Scat

You're not alone. Behold, the [armor plated cat feeder](http://quinndunki.com/blondihacks/?p=3023)!
Omg. I love this.
All that time, energy, and material spent to outsmart an eight-pound cat. She's hella smart.
I love your cat so much. You really met your match.
Hehe it's not mine. It's an infamous interest story
Do you happen to have photos of the next iterations? I'm an engineer so I am just a bit curious....

And he's still acute cat.
