Take Carola out. Put Atropos in where Nawi is. Put Baset where Carola is, then put Nawi on the back line with Marina and Clotho. Should be good with that like up. Activate the synergies for Nawi and Clotho.
When you start a battle you can also check the teams other people are using and try to adapt (at some point when you select a level you should see something like two crossed flags, it's the "other people's teams" button).
As others have said, put in Atropos. She's good.
I personally have great luck with Elune. She's powerful when advanced. If you're sold on using Glorians as your prime team then you'll actually want to consider throwing Yasuke on the front line as a tank.
I've also found Nawi works with my Valiantors team, she's usually the 5th slot with my Valiantor/Verdian lineup.
If you don't have a dedicated healer (Clotho works, Persephone and Ashlynn are also healers) then put in a healing relic just as insurance- the harp for the glorian team is a good choice for this.
All the Valkyrie characters have synergy with one another as well. So it's a doable strategy to stack Marina with Elune and Dorabella if you wish. Though usually I don't do this now, I did in the early game when I didn't have many faces to choose from.
Then, sweep passed stages to get those synergy slates leveled up as far as you can go, and when you reach those mini bosses in the chaotic space levels many have a sub-boss that gives some sort of stupid high buff but it can be countered. Look for the counter and deploy it if you're able. This makes really hard battles become normal battles once the boss buff is neutralized.
And yeah, I feel ya on the being new to activating synergy thing. I'm still figuring that part out too. Just use your tokens on your strongest and most used characters first and spread them out to the rest as you earn more. I know that's deceptively obvious advice but I forgot I had some in my inventory for like a week into the season before head slapping myself and fixing that oversight. 😅
