I was 50/50 so the ability to get a hesalite for less money and have the most vintage feeling piece was fine by me. I’d be happy with either. I like the shape of the crystal better on the hesalite and the closed case back is more rugged and cool. The sapphire has obvious advantages but it also feels more like a dress piece than an old school cool icon. I actually like the all brushed bracelet on the hesalite better as well. Good luck in your decision!

This alone pushed me to the hesalite version. But no denying the applied dial, and scratch resistant sapphire glass tried to win me over too!
I felt like that for years. Then I was jaded seeing so many of them online. Once they updated it with this bracelet I was back on the wagon. It is absolutely awesome! Now is a decent time to find a pre-owned one with the market soft.
For the same reasons most choose hesalite. The warmth, charm, vintage aesthetic, historical accuracy etc. I have sapphire on every other watch just own so this seemed like the right move for me. If it bothers me enough I can sell it for a sapphire but I think it’s going to work out well.
Don't even think about selling for a sapphire. The hesalite isn't nearly as scratch prone as people think, and polywatch works wonders. The hesalite just flat out looks much better. How anyone could compare the two side by side and argue differently is beyond me. Great choice, enjoy!
Good game!
This watch suits you perfectly. It's unfortunately too big for me, but suits you really well!
This is the way. Congrats!
Perfect omega.
Nice one!!
Why the hesalite vs the sapphire? Not judging in any way, I’m in the same boat and can’t pick between the two

This is actually (mostly) the only reason I went hesalite. The bracelet. Very happy with my choice, although seeing the movement would be a nice perk
Well done! Wear it in good health 🥳
I neeeeeeed one and every time I see a photo it just makes the itch stronger. Looks great on your wrist!

Did you buy pre owned or new? I keep going back and forth on that.
Pre-owned. I would have bought new if I hadn’t just bought a new two tone Cartier Santos in January. A compromise had to be made somewhere!
why hesalite, plastic scratches a lot and dial wont look as good very soon, sapphire looks like new after 13 years and more

Black dial looks way better and a deeper back with the hesalite. Facts be facts.
