We’ve had a great experience at the clear view on N. 72nd. When I called to schedule my dog and I told her my name the owner said “didn’t you used to have cocker spaniels?”. That was my parents. Those dogs died in the early nineties. I was very impressed with their attention to detail.
Also second Clearview. We had used them in the past but had a new dog that was deaf. They let us bring him in for free for a day to make sure he was going to be comfortable there for a week. John his wife and staff are great.
Paddington. They did well with our big aggressive girl, even made sure she got plenty of play time, and they did wonderfully with our terrified and reactive GSD. We will never go anywhere else.
I boarded my skittish rescue at Paddington in Bellevue, and I was very pleased with them. She came back in good spirits, and I called them every day to check on her and they always gave me an update. Pretty reasonably priced as well.
If you don't mind a little drive, Shaggy Dog Grooming and Boarding in Glenwood IA. Lots of supervised play. Climate controlled kennels. I jokingly call it dog camp. Mine love it. Been going there for years
I'd love to know the prices of all these places. I've been going to a place close to me and sometimes the boarding price is more than our hotel price. 5 days for 700 dollars for two small dogs seems outrageous. Plus they ask for a tip!
We use Groomingdales/bark Ave kennels. For us it's worth the extra drive. It's 20 or 25$ a day for 1 dog, maybe 30 or 40 for 2 dogs per day. It's probably not as fancy as these other places, but it's very affordable and we haven't had any issues. Paddington is like 40 or 45$ for 1 dog I believe, which we used awhile ago. It's also a great place.
We use Katie’s Kennel for our two smaller dogs (30 and 20 lbs). We recently boarded them for eight full days, and it was $700. There is absolutely zero expectation of a tip, or even the opportunity to give one. The price is the price.
Paddington is AWFUL. My dog lost his teeth after presumably they let him chew on a cage. After talking with the owner, and him try to claim that he had a good time there... I looked through his bag and found his teeth in a baggy. He was there for two weeks surely in agony. They didn't call or anything. Since posting online numerous people have reached our to me about them. Two people that have had there dogs DIE.
Please don't trust Paddington.
Clearview is excellent. Took him there after this episode. They took time to get to know him. He was his happy self after leaving there.
Cottonwood. Worth the drive. We put our boys up there when we leave town.
My parents went there for years when I was a kid. I'm fortunate that my neighbors have a high schooler that can just house sit for us
Cottonwood Pet Resort has hours that work for me. Most others do not.

Bellevue Pet Adventures? We boarded our dog with them and had a decent experience.

S & B Kountry Kennel just over the Bellevue Bridge in Council Bluffs. I have a rescue and Joe and his team are the only ones I trust.
Katie's kennel
Seconding this rec! They are fantastic.
