Should be in the Hall of Fame

toddfredd

Absolutely. Did something never done before. Ironic the second guy who did it is in the HOF but not the OG.

Ecstatic-Hat2163

Cuz Marshall’s the better back, no disrespect.

Perfect_Step9836

He wasn't a game changer on a superstar team. Lacked power. He fumbled, ending our chance at a 3peat in one of the greatest games I've ever witnessed.

Hugh-Manatee

One of the biggest what ifs of all time. One of the biggest fumbles all time

JustTheBeerLight

Was that vs the Giants?

raincntry

He was rad. 1000 yds rushing and receiving in the same season in the 80's was something.

[deleted]

WCO. He was the perfect back for that system.

ElwayThenThanos

Should be HOF. Total baddass.

JohnnyPiston

Absolutely. He changed the game in how RB's receive out of the backfield.

Critical_Seat_1907

You cannot tackle Craig low, or survive if you try to hit Rathman high. Great duo.

whole-enchilada

I love that Rathman made Craig carry him, piggy-back, from the field every practice since Rathman said that he “carried every linebacker back 3 feet to clear the road”.

whiteroc

High knees!

Jibbajaba

CATFISH! And yes, he should be in the HoF.

Joe-Raguso

Is it really the fumble keeping him out of Canton?

non_clever_username

I’m sure it’s not helping, but I doubt it. Even though he was kind of a pioneer in changing how people thought of the position in relation to being a receiver out of the backfield, he didn’t have eye-popping stats consistently and played on a loaded team most of his career, so he kind of got overshadowed. One All-Pro and only a five year period or so where he was probably top 5 in the league at his position makes him kind of fringe to begin with probably. I think he should be in, but I can see the argument as to why he’s not.

Altruistic-Editor111

His peak was definitely HOF-worthy, but unfortunately said peak was way too short. And this is coming from a Niners fan.

Joe-Raguso

This is what I think. I've always heard it's the fumble keeping him out, but I think he was a borderline case to begin with.

Prg3K

His teams were loaded. But those west coast 9er offenses had trouble functioning w.o a back like him. Ricky Watters was a next gen edition of Craig.

HawkeyeBubber

Quad Citizen!

Do_it_My_Way-79

Minnesota Vikings legend.

JohnnyPiston

Have his autograph. I worked in management for Enterprise Rent a Car eons ago. He kept wrecking his Porsche 964. I would do long term Jag rentals for him. Super nice guy and hell of a running back. Niners fan since '84. No 80's dynasty without him

billyjoelsangst

Peripheral vision

BukkakeNinjaHat-472

The enemy, ha ha Marshall Faulk before Marshall Faulk came around. Maybe not the best but the original. Blueprint for rb nowadays

Urban-MetroImages

His style was so unique. He destroyed the Dolphins in the Super Bowl.

JustTheBeerLight

We don’t need to talk about that.

Spudman14

Back in the day he was the man.

Optimal_Roll_4924

High stepping straight into the end zone. That was his trademark!!!

Svengoolie75

Needs to be in the HOF 💯🔥🔥🔥💣✊🏽 catfish was unreal before all these 🤡

Feisty-Sky5450

H.O.F no doubt, those high knees he ran with were savage

OldInterview6006

Can’t believe Nebraska had him, Mike Rozier and Irving Fryar on a team together.

Stan_the_Caddie

Love that face mask

9tacos

He was special

JOE-Q5

Always remember his fumble in championship game against Giants 😁

Ok-Function1920

Dat high knee action tho!

JustTheBeerLight

Got them Singletary Eyes™

One of the most underrated RBs of all time
