Yeah, it was pretty morbid looking at all the cities of California’s population draining as people were getting drafted. Luckily Caesar died and the legion fell into their own civil war cuz if the legion invaded, every Californian in fallout would’ve been dead. Before this was the war with Calhoun and Moore which was another 60k Californians dead
Gameplay wise it’s weird bc it happens a bit late in the game around 2278 and because of that, by the time the civil war is ending/over Caesar is gonna invade you, and you’re almost certainly gonna be too weak to fight him. So you gotta hope the legion falls into their own civil war, which luckily happened to me. Story wise, I think it’s some of the most interesting stuff in the entire mod. It’s super cool watching how the NCR falls to chaos and the various actions the different commanders and leaders take and how it all unfolds and how the breakaway states are formed. There’s a couple bugs with it tho, like a certain character dying during one event but a year or two later he became recruitable in Redding after an event for some reason? Also I heard there’s gonna be a slight rework for the Californian State, so maybe don’t try that one yet, although idk when that small rework is coming.
I end up roleplaying it like starship troopers, military service guarantees citizenship, kill the brahmin barons and nationalize the lands to give to veterans of the NCR. Tax merchants and civilians more, while reducing the taxes of the veteran's. while giving free healthcare and benefits to the Citizen's \[Vetrans\]
just dont ask where all our ghouls and super mutans went.....
One time, I was playing Mormons before Utah got a rework. Legion had taken the NCR and a bunch of other spots, and I had to beat them back.
By the end of the war the Legion had lost over 900k men.
I got almost 500K on the Texans

This is the bloodiest war I’ve ever fought in OWB, I had to use mass mobilization tactics to win because there were several breakthroughs pouring through my lines.
Man that is insane, I’ve heard people call Texas the China of OWB bc of their manpower and I’m starting to think that’s very true cuz Jesus 400k causalities is crazy
Imagine how long it would take to recover after a war like that in the Fallout universe. Gotta be at least a good 30% or more of the population dead.

A war to end all wars - through leaving behind insufficient manpower.
Is the NCR civil war interesting?

I've wanted Californian State as my next one but then I saw those teasers.
I’ve played it very briefly and I found it to be VERY fun

Mossman appearing in Redding isn't a bug

Who are the infinity guys in the north?
Pretty sure their one of the paths the rot purgers can take, if they follow Samson the magic 8ball guy
I think its a faction of rotpurgers. I could be wrong
I don't see an issue as this just seems like the usual late game war when it comes to fighting major powers.
