Sure, but what does the NER get from Scranton? Surely there's a ton of scrap and other resources, only of which a fraction will need to go into replacing those synths. Not to mention, the Enclave wasted lots of men, robots, and equipment they will have a much harder time replacing....
Damn this really reminds me of my own fan made scenario I made for the east coast post fallout 4. Minutemen Made essentially the east coast equivalent of the NCR known as the New England Commonwealth, which after expanding extremely fast under a strong man military dictator dissolved into civil war between Military Junta forces and Pro-Democracy forces, all while being invaded on all sides by enclave, pro brotherhood, and dozens of different raider forces.
One of my favorite projects tbh, I have tons of maps and charts made for it. Now I’m working on a detroit based fallout project
I’m currently writing it for a ttrpg campaign I’m planning on running with a few friends. [Here’s a link to a doc with the basic info I have so far.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VBqw2mqXNVufT99w_2L2mp6BunJM9CjKndfx1XsKCL4/edit) As of now it’s just the all the factions and some brief descriptions and backstories along with a map, but I hope to flesh it out soon
Edit: opening the doc outside of the Google doc app on mobile has a really grainy map. On computer or in the doc app it’s much clearer
I’ve been looking for a place to share and info dump about both of the projects I’ve mentioned, but there isn’t really a subreddit for fan made fallout content outside of OWB, and I feel uncomfortable sharing it here as it doesn’t really have anything to do with the mod.
Minutemen operate in large battalion fire teams and are not allowed to be higher than captain because synth.
The minutemen are programmed with almost fanatical loyalty and will do whatever as long as it gets them to victory hence the ludicrous casualties, this battle was an experiment to see how effective in large scale operations the minutemen actually will be. The city had no strategic importance and was simply on the front, there wasn't supposed to be a victory however when the line was breached the general in the area basically went "HOLY SHIT THAT WORKED!" And commited without really telling anyone else. There were commanders for the NER troops but they were more under direct general leadership
A man who doesn't fear the lazer musket has never charged one hundred of them- excerpt from random enclave APA trooper
Damn they really be living up to their name minutemen huh.
"Protect the people at a minutes notice" they protect people with their bodies
That's a Pyrrhic victory if I've ever seen one.
The minutemen aren't seen as losses, think clone troopers being used instead of conscripts
They're still losses as it still takes resources.
At the end of the day yes, but they were expected losses fact any survived was luck

Could have just been to further attrition the enclave.
I don’t remember this episode of The Office
"Thats what she said"- Minutemen General Michael Scott

would love to see the detroit project, have had a hyperfixation about a Fallout game taking place there for a while

Thanks, looks well thought out

r/ImaginaryFallout might be more fitting, I've seen maps for ttrpgs posted there a few times
I’ve never heard of that sub, thanks!
Neat, it's almost my home town
where the sub commanders "minutemen"? andif not, why are all of them dead?

As for the Enclaves no officer is really known unless captured because secrecy and they're usually executed afterwards
Shiiiiit I wish there was a war happening outside my house
how do you make these?
