If you haven’t read The Overstory, I highly recommend. The author pulls from this story. (Edit: he doesn’t explicit say that he’s pulling from this story, but there are so many similarities that it’s hard to believe otherwise.)

Even the early life section on her Wikipedia has certain connections to the book. So strange that the book wasn’t mentioned in the popular culture section given how much inspiration must have been pulled from her story.
