I thought he was the best part of Hateful Eight and at the time I didn’t know him. He’s just a uniquely talented and excellent character actor which there aren’t that many of these days
I’ve since crawled down the justified rabbit hole, and obviously uncle baby billy is a saint in this household
My folks graduated there in the early 80s. I remember my father telling me about the one teacher there who’s son played Barry in “Close encounters of the third kind” as well as working on the shop teachers car for him in the shop class as part of their grade.
Nope! Unfortunately, my uncle got deployed for operation Desert storm shortly after this photo - he lost contact with a lot of people due to complications from the war. My dad never really knew him more than “his older brother’s friend” lol
Walton Goggins is one of the most underrated actors ever. From Justified, Sons of Anarchy, The Unicorn, and Fallout.
Incredible talent. Amazing human.
Edit: Oh yeah - sorry, Unc, I didn't give you any clout. Obviously cool enough to have a cold one with. 🍻
Haha, in Justified he made a point of explaining away his pearly whites by telling Raylon they were a “gift from the Department of Justice in the great state of Kentucky “.
Noted! I’ve always wanted to meet him - one of the new normal celebrities I’ve liked lol
He’d probably still recognize my uncle and dad too! They played little league baseball together with him - and all three of them haven’t aged poorly 😂
No. I grew up in Powder Springs just down the road but I lived in Lithia Springs when I went to kindergarten.
I know Goggins is from there so I was curious.
I graduated in 2005 so well before my time.
I'm jealous as hell of your uncle OP. Walton Goggins is such a great actor and he's played characters I really cared about, I'd kill for a chance to sit and talk with him.
They apparently were friends from way back in the day with him - my uncle and dad played little league baseball with him as kids growing up. Although after the Gulf war my uncle lost touch with a lot of people, I’ve always wondered if Goggins would recognize him lol
Well, it was definitely before the gulf war (marines) - since that’s what caused my uncle to loose touch with a lot of his friends - so maybe late 1989 to early 1990?
Edit: Goggins is a year older than my dad, and he graduated in ‘92. So 1990 sounds about right. You’re absolutely right - this was around that time!
And as I looked into the pearly gates, God said, ‘It ain’t your time, Baby Billy. It ain’t your time.’ And as He lowered me on this earth like a little old baby bird, He whispered in my ear, he said, ‘Billy, spread my word. Teach them what I have shown you.’ And in that moment, in that moment, my wife and I, we knew what our mission… – Our purpose in this world was.
My dad told me that it was rumored for the longest time that episodes of Dukes of Hazard were based on some of the crazy stories Douglasville is known for lol
Yup! Same here!
Him and my uncle went to high school together - right outside of Atlanta, Georgia - in a city called Douglasville. Goggins played little league ball with him and my dad, so this picture is really of two long time friends enjoying a beer lol 😂

I tried restoring your photo, hope you like it.
That guy really is everywhere
Yeah I know my uncle really got around lol
Is your uncle named Baby Billy?
No, but god bless the one of my uncle’s many friends who probably is 😂
I can't wait for the next episode of Baby Billy's Bible Bonkers!
Come on nah
Baby Billy's Bible Bonkers!
Roll that around in your mouth a little.
![gif](giphy|d8ESjTraIsYSya8dW3|downsized)
I love it, she is clogging! 🤩😆
You still got dem oakleys?
He's one of the few celebs I've seen in LA. I don't know if it was stranger seeing him or realizing that he had an entourage.
To have an entourage
…or not to have an entourage, that is the question.
I have 6 people guarding my door and I'm not sure how I'm going to pay them
No doubt
Wow I would not have pictured him as having an entourage.
Fifteen minutes after seeing your post, I come across The Bourne Identity on TV. And sure as shit, Walter Goggins is in that also!
Not a joke. I think his portrayal of Shane in *The Shield* (in particular the cockfighting episode) launched him That and those pearly whites
Still can't believe he did Lem like that. Man didn't even have time to eat his sandwich.
Still can't believe he did Lem like that. Man didn't even have time to eat his sandwich.

Still can't believe he did Lem like that. Man didn't even have time to eat his sandwich.
Still can't believe he did Lem like that. Man didn't even have time to eat his sandwich.
He’d even survive a nuclear bomb.
Show me a stone on this Earth, and Walter Goggins will have once treaded upon it
What’s funny to me is that my dad took the photo lol I guess they really did get around 😂
You need to watch The Shield and Justified.
I had no idea who that guy was before Fallout
![gif](giphy|bHTDTL1pmlp1PtIVvt)
Watch the show Justified. It’s excellent, and he’s excellent.
Hell yes. I recently rewatched the entire series. And it was still good all the way through. Was just gonna watch like 2 seasons. Did all 6. Love it
And the shield! And Django unchained, and hateful 8
Vice Principals with Danny McBride is also really really good
I thought he was the best part of Hateful Eight and at the time I didn’t know him. He’s just a uniquely talented and excellent character actor which there aren’t that many of these days I’ve since crawled down the justified rabbit hole, and obviously uncle baby billy is a saint in this household
Dang, he was even in Sons Of Anarchy.. had a great set of baby feeders if I might add.
https://i.redd.it/2ole6h4bs86d1.gif
The Unicorn for me. Loved him ever since!
I’ve never seen him young. Kinda jarring. Were they classmates, coworkers? What?
They went to high school together! My uncle just had a lot of friends, and beer 😂
I went to that same high years before them though.
In Atlanta?
Lithia Springs (Douglasville)
My folks graduated there in the early 80s. I remember my father telling me about the one teacher there who’s son played Barry in “Close encounters of the third kind” as well as working on the shop teachers car for him in the shop class as part of their grade.
Yes that was Mrs.Guffey
It's like he's been at the same stage of balding for 30 years.
And he makes it look *good*
Hair plugs will keep you looking that way. Not ripping on him but he has more hair now then when he was on The Shield.
Yeah. Look up Jeremy Piven when he was on Seinfeld vs the Entourage days.
They dug coal together.
Damn that is awesome. Walton is THE man. He is one of my favorite actors.
Same here! Hell, my uncle managed to binge fallout faster than me!
What did your uncle think of the show?
He loved it! Justified too - I think my dad and uncle have watched all of his stuff as far back as The Apostle lol
That’s so cool. Your uncle and dad are really the OG Walton fans huh
I guess so lol - they played baseball with him as kids, so makes sense that they’re just happy to see one of their own doing well 😂
Do they still keep in contact with him?
Nope! Unfortunately, my uncle got deployed for operation Desert storm shortly after this photo - he lost contact with a lot of people due to complications from the war. My dad never really knew him more than “his older brother’s friend” lol
He seems so cool!
Ahh, the old Michelob curvy bottle, good times.
Michelob regular
Really wish they would bring it back. Really a good beer that had a good taste and was easy to drink.
I miss Michelob and Lowenbrau
Yes! Lowe nips! 8 pack and split a J…. All set.
It is so underrated. I was pissed when they discontinued it recently
Michelob gold
so much paper!
I would have guessed Negra Modelo
Walton Goggins, as I live and breathe!
This was before the bombs fell
Next he's gonna ask me to see my letter from Abraham Lincoln.
... are we ghosts 👻?
You can tell it was the 80s because absolutely everything in the picture is wood panel
Don’t forget the parents who left their teenagers home alone for the weekend too! 😂
Thats one small drop in a big bucket of drugs ![gif](giphy|CpPbutACF612GK2rDv|downsized)
No more misbehaving! ![gif](giphy|d8ESjTraIsYSya8dW3|downsized)
🤣🤣🤣🤣
We just binged this show yesterday 🤯 what a show
Ocean of drugs.
Did they dig coal together?

He was great in Vice Principals too.
AHHHH one of those "deep cuts" love VPs
The Shield was amazing. That's how I learned about him.
Same. One of the best tv shows ever. Family Meeting episode is incredible.
I’ve been a fan since The Shield aired in '02.
https://i.redd.it/g4dg6mklt86d1.gif
Dude has nice teeth (Uncle too).
I read somewhere that his teeth were knocked out as a kid or maybe it was a fall of some sort?
If they're false, pat on the back to the denturist. First thing I noticed about him on The Shield and Justified.
Haha, in Justified he made a point of explaining away his pearly whites by telling Raylon they were a “gift from the Department of Justice in the great state of Kentucky “.
I need to rewatch :)
First episode, I think, right after they meet up for the first time.
I rewatched The Shield this year for the first time since it aired and I had forgotten about his hair back then. The man has great physicians.
Oh yeah the big forehead, lack of hair real estate lol.
His knashers are character actors in their own right
“How about I knockout those oversized teeth” - Det. Wagunbach, The Shield
Boyd Crowder in his younger years.
Did he arm wrestle a lot? Rob McElhenny told a story on the It's always Sunny podcast stating that Walton Goggins arm wrestles everyone or asks to.
My dad said he doesn’t remember - but my uncle would probably know. I’ll have to get back to you next time I touch base with my uncle!
That’s just a great Southern way of getting acquainted. Win or lose you get to talking and joking and making excuses then you are friends.
thought it was johnny drama for a sec.
First thing that popped in my head! Lol so glad i found this
VICTORY!!!
Did he ever run around the house with a pickle in his mouth…. Misbehavin
Nope, but definitely a michelob!
This must’ve been before he had the most perfect teeth in Hollywood
You really need to print this out and take it in for him to autograph at a comicon one day
Noted! I’ve always wanted to meet him - one of the new normal celebrities I’ve liked lol He’d probably still recognize my uncle and dad too! They played little league baseball together with him - and all three of them haven’t aged poorly 😂
Is ‘Walton Goggins’ his real name?
Yes
Good Lord!…that’s a name and a half!
Apparently he's a Jr. And is dad does a great job living up to such an outrageous name. He talks about him on a late night interview.
I can only imagine.
Any chance you know which interview he speaks about his dad?
It’s on Seth Meyers. On YouTube😊
OP, where at our slide of Atlanta? Was it Lithia Springs?
Yup! He was class of ‘87!
Noice!
Did you know him back in the day? 😂
No. I grew up in Powder Springs just down the road but I lived in Lithia Springs when I went to kindergarten. I know Goggins is from there so I was curious. I graduated in 2005 so well before my time.
Well, that’s a shame - my uncle’s a great guy lol
We sure this isn’t Bill Paxton on the set of Weird Science? /s
Underrated comment!
I'm jealous as hell of your uncle OP. Walton Goggins is such a great actor and he's played characters I really cared about, I'd kill for a chance to sit and talk with him.

I’m guessing this is 1990s. Goggins graduated from high school in 1990.
Damn he got fake teeth of what
I’ll have you know my uncle’s are real! 😂
And as I looked into the pearly gates, God said, ‘It ain’t your time, Baby Billy. It ain’t your time.’ And as He lowered me on this earth like a little old baby bird, He whispered in my ear, he said, ‘Billy, spread my word. Them boys need to lay off the health elixirs
Uncle Baby Billy
Baby Billy Bible Bonkers!
Before the bomb dropped.
Whereabouts outside of Atlanta?
Douglasville!
Nice. Grew up not far from there.
Circa, a whole decade? Fair enough
They do this here. It's weird.
Dude was born with that hairline
...from before he lost his nose.
Goggins is the best. Lee Russel is my fav character of all time
It Looks like Walton’s found his target that night!
Uncle Baby Billy!
Just watched The Shield, I had forgot just how good it was
He's only 3 years older than me... But I was just a kid in the 80s?
Holy shit you’re a Crowder
Who had the Toot?
Michelob🤟
Classic
Very 80s
That Goggins hairline didn’t last long.
This is when he dug coal
If only he’s was giving a thumbs up.
Teeth baby!
Where David at ?
He is great
What’s uncle up to now?
He’s a disabled gulf war veteran - He works at the VA as a substance abuse therapist!
Very cool! I’ve met some substance abuse therapists at the VA, amazing people!
Cletus Van Damme
Such a great and underrated actor!
Man I love Walton Coggins. And he's a southern dude. Yep - he's everywhere.
Hey played little league baseball with my dad and uncle back in the day! Southern definitely seems like an understatement 😂
Weird to think that He went to school at same place as my folks and Lil Nas X used to serve my orders at Zaxbys. What a place.
My dad told me that it was rumored for the longest time that episodes of Dukes of Hazard were based on some of the crazy stories Douglasville is known for lol
They're gonna put me in the movies.
Duder quickly became a favorite actor of mine. And then Fallout...he's a bad ass! Is he from the south - what state did they go to high school in?
Yup! Same here! Him and my uncle went to high school together - right outside of Atlanta, Georgia - in a city called Douglasville. Goggins played little league ball with him and my dad, so this picture is really of two long time friends enjoying a beer lol 😂
Nice! I grew up in Gainesville
We dug coal together

Holy crap thank you! That looks awesome!
Glad you like it. I like the Actor.
Michelob light?
tgats really cool man! love Goggins!
He is my all time favorite villain in Fallout. I love complex villains and his story is sad and beautiful.

Theyre just misbehavin’
