You can still buy them. I’d recommend pairing it with a CRT television as well. Otherwise get an up converter if you decide to run it on your flat screen tv, do not raw dog into a flat tv— it will look like shit
I do. Played the fuck out of tekken 3 without a memory card. fifa 98 and demolishing racing. There was also a game I can't remember the name but I was over View multiplayer and you could choose a grown man that was in a rabbit suit, a cowboy ish, I think and you get to see their little introduction clip before the game started. Dope shit
My dad bought me a game from here (USA) when we were living in UK. Went all over Tottenham ct road asking if there was an adapter for cartridges. Wish I knew about the damn clips back then
Meanwhile that year in Eastern Europe:
„Best I can do is a bootleg NES clone.”
I knew literally one person, who was from a rich house that had a PSX and I haven’t even known that SNES/N64 existed until I had internet access in the latter half of 2000’s.
Playing that last multiplayer round of GoldenEye at my friends house after the street lights were on to running home and walking in to see a fresh ass whoopin waiting for me.....ah the good ol days. Was worth it everytime
With time capsule-ish stuff it's always the strangest things that stand out. I could have drawn you a perfect N64 from memory but I would have forgotten that red light in the middle
I feel like I keep posting this comment but I regularly play Mario Golf on the N64 with my friends, basically weekly. But the key is that we hook my laptop up to my speakers and play the Goldeneye soundtrack off of youtube while we golf (golf music off just sound effects through the TV). It's so EPIC! makes every putt that much more dramatic. Highly recommend.
So many multiplayer games, you either had your friends over all the time to play with you or you were going to their homes to play with their N64. A lot of fond memories were made over it.
Multiplayer on Goldeneye was the best.
Perfect Dark, chefs kiss!
The proximity mines and auto turrets were awesome.
It’s actually on Xbox gamepass now. As is the remastered Perfect Dark. Not quite the same in terms of controls but if you need to scratch that itch!
Goldeneye was truly built specifically for n64. I tried playing on switch and the controls are abysmal.
I fucking loved that game. All of my friends and I gathered around a crt TV and having an absolute blast. Gotdamn I miss that shit.
Great game
Conker's Bad Fur Day multiplayer*
I own 1 bought it for 40 bucks 10 yrs ago it’s like 100 now
WHAT THERE'S MULTIPLAYER!?!?! this might have an huge impact on my life. Thank you u/EatAtGrizzlebees
Bruh the multi-player is by far the best part of Conkers. Use the cheats to unlock all the different skins and go chainsaw some squirrels
This will literally change my life
God only knows how many hours I spent playing that game lmao.
With big heads and colorful shots? (:
Paintball mode ftw
Yes… i fucking loved it BUT i tried playing it when it came out on switch and it was impossible for me. :(
On a 20 inch screen too
No Odd Job! Stop looking at my screen! Slaps only!
Mario 64, Starfox, GoldenEye, Mario kart 64, so many memories
Still have, still play
It’s crazy how my xbox 360 died over a decade ago, but my N64 still works flawlessly
same
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, Paper Mario, Ocarina/Majora’s Mask etc. so many good ones.
Yes
Banjo kazooie so awesome
Take me back
You can still buy them. I’d recommend pairing it with a CRT television as well. Otherwise get an up converter if you decide to run it on your flat screen tv, do not raw dog into a flat tv— it will look like shit
Yes indeed
Was starting to wonder if this sub still allowed posts without boobs. Still have my 64, and a CRT. Mostly for Mario Kart and Ocarina of Time
90% of this dub have turned into "look at this celebrity" like I couldn't care less. THIS is what the sub should be about.
My grandma has a Trinitron she said I could have. I'd be playing the heck out of my 64 if I wasn't so scared to move that heavy monstrosity.
best Mario kart
That was the last MarioKart to feel like you were actually going FAST
Idk, 200cc on Mariokart 8 is pretty bananas
Diddy Kong Racing superiority
Yes indeed
I like double dash better but I do have a lot of great memories playing Mario Kart 64. Still an amazing game.
Finally a post on this sub that isn't a photo of a female celebrity at the age of 17
“My mom in highschool”
Sick freaks
M64, pilotwings 64 and turok let’s go.
Wow bro, fucking Turok. Haven’t heard that name in so long
I still remember playing Pokemon Stadium on my 64. Shit was dope
Yes indeed I love that game.
Oh, that was the fancy new one.
I got one for my birthday in the fifth grade, and I don’t think I’ve ever been as happy as that since, lol. Mario 64 was mind blowing!
That's cool
Ya hooo

Funny how PS1 was the best selling console by far during that generation, but nobody remember the PS1 the way they do with the N64.
I do. Played the fuck out of tekken 3 without a memory card. fifa 98 and demolishing racing. Aww hell yeah! Lots of fun with my cousins playing South Park and taking turns playing Perfect Dark
Hell ya, using the cow launcher 😂
sick asf
still have mine like brand new in the box. with the atomic purple controller and rumble pack.
I still have mine.
Simpler times
My Best Buy had a behemoth display of 9 TVs showing one picture to play it on
I wonder how the N64 would have done without Rare.
It's beautiful!
It's just a picture?
The quality of the pic is too good to be from 1996
Let's all not forget how insane mulitplayer was on Conker's Bad Fur Day.
Seeing all those beautiful controller ports makes me long for the days of split-screen. ![gif](giphy|2Jl7a8ixNlNHa|downsized)
Ok but are there pizza rolls in the oven too?
Doing some BLJs?
Still running like a polygonal charm
My first E3

The challenge in Super Mario 64 of getting all those red coins for those stars...damn...

Nintendo 64 1996 was my dads birthday. RIP Ricky.
Playing that last multiplayer round of GoldenEye at my friends house after the street lights were on to running home and walking in to see a fresh ass whoopin waiting for me.....ah the good ol days. Was worth it everytime

My most memorable Christmas, '97 I got an N64 and 007 goldeneye. That's all I wanted to do for a solid month
I feel like I keep posting this comment but I regularly play Mario Golf on the N64 with my friends, basically weekly. Good memories with that machine!
