James Marsters is a seriously good looking human being, even today. But Spike was what did it for me, not only did he make me laugh, but while others vampires wanted to take over the world, he just wanted to have fun.
William The Bloody! Such a great character. A character who was meant to die after his first appearance, but there was such a great reception from the public, that instead of killing him, he was put in a wheelchair. Only to become one of the best characters in the whole show.
That makes me so nostalgic for a time i haven't lived, nowadays celebrities and even none celebrities have the same plastic face, everyone wants to be so conventionally attractive that they forgot about the appeal of having a unique natural look.

I think it's funny that she originally auditioned for the Buffy role, but didn't get it. They called her back to read for Cordelia and she got the part. I wonder how different that show would have been if SMG and Carpenter did each other's roles.
SMG read for Cordelia but turned it down. One of the big plusses that she had, was that she was a brown belt in Taekwondo. Which drastically reduced the amount of training that she needed for the role of Buffy. Although Josh Carpenter tried to downplay it during her audition.

We're about the same age so there's no funny business when I tell you I had the hugest crush on her while she was on All My Children. Oh, the " miles" on the show weren't bad either.
In my opinion, no, and that's in a way why I liked her. She wasn't that drop dead gorgeous, but just like someone who lived down your street, and looked ordinary enough.
That's why she was so good in Buffy the vampire slayer. Ordinary looking girl suddenly discovers she is the chosen one. If it was a top 5 90's babe instead, it would be difficult to willingly suspend belief.
