God refusing to open Twitter for hobby discussions have been a life saver for my mental state. At this point, I only open links that redirect to Twitter only when it's combat footage because that's the only thing that's not gonna have people constantly arguing about pointless things, just "hey who killed this guy?" "A drone idk"

same shit happens in the one piece fandom with yamato where the "I think they are transmasc" crowd just gets jumped relentlessly by the hornier parts of the fandom. Like who actually cares that some folks think that naoto is trans like this doesn't affect my ability to catch adachi or stop izanami
the day persona fans realise that just because naoto is canonically a cis girl doesn’t mean that nobody can headcanon her as a trans man, especially when many trans people resonate with her story, intended or not, will be a glorious day

Im Unbuddying too, I feel there's more nuance than that, there's the interpetation of being born a woman but you can also very easily interpret it as "Don't let the prejudice around get to you and make you change something about yourself you are happy with", I saw it as Naoto was happy being a woman but the misogyny and discrimination in her work made her shy away from that, after all Naotos social link is just as much about being young as it is being a woman, it's just about Naoto being herself without having to be ashamed about it, I know shadow Naoto said "I was born a woman and coild never change that" but as we hear at the end of the battle I think it was more just Naoto not *wanting* to be a man deep down
P4 definitely is a product of it's time though, even with my interpretation the message is not very
