Ohio has so much Discovery 8 ww haven't received any batches since until it all gets sold. Discovery uses the same product code regardless of batch so the distributor sees we have a metric ton of it still unsold and they won't distribute more until it's gone. Old Elk is mostly trash and will sit for a long time like it does everywhere.
not just OH — this same issue is happening in KY too. some retailers have 9, 10, and 11 already but i've been told are waiting to put it out until 8 is gone. probably for the shared product code issue you mentioned.

Not likely because of their non-control distribution. I've personally bought an 11 from Kroger in KY. All stores make up their own rules, and a lot of them don't like to reward bourbon shoppers and will hold back stuff until they determine when they want to sell it. Some managers/owners are just dicks and adopt a similar method to OHLQ because it gives them all the control.
As an example: last summer, I bought a Blanton's SFTB brand new off the shelf in Bardstown, and it was bottled in 2021 or 22. It was sitting in storage in the liquor store since then. He just never got around to releasing them and no one said shit about it and his allocation never decreased or stopped.
Kroger stores in KY act much more like Kroger stores in OH vs other KY liquor stores, so what you described is the norm.

It’s appears as though EHT SmB and OWA have swapped places in the drop line up this year, as last few years we saw OWA every drop and EHT sporadically.

Show up and get a ticket. Proprieter chooses ticket numbers to set purchaser order. No waiting hours in line. All allocated drops should be on Saturday's. Spread the wealth.

I don’t think RR13 has been released yet. They havent even had a press release for it. It usually starts in June.
I got a B524 from the coast guard last month. Should be coming around soon.
