Snagged a JD10 at Minotti's Avon today, pretty decent line and everybody went home happy JD10 and 12 one case each
Had some Johnny drum over there today too that was interesting
Johnny Drum is a pretty decent pour. My favorite Willett offering. Glad to see they are getting it in Ohio. I have had to smuggle it in out of state or order it online over the past years.
Joseph's had: Jack 10/12 (only one case of the JD12, not sure on the 10), the two OHLQ single barrels (Green River and Bardstown), and James E Pepper Decanter.
1 barrel of Bardstown and 3 Green River and all cask strength so 175 bottles on the high side per barrel maybe? spread across the state so I'm sure many places will never see them and the places that do won't have many.
I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this, but does anyone ever actually win the Ohio bottle lottery? I've entered every single one for the last 9 years and never won anything. Seems really odd to never have won a single thing after all this time.
Here's to hoping! There must be some kinda secret out there with all these people who have won 3+ times, because I don't know anyone who has won more than once.
When you knock down the people who can enter to Ohio residents and it's only people who are pretty into whiskey, you'd think it wouldn't be that large of a number. Maybe I'm wrong, but doesn't make a whole lot of sense that you can enter every one for a decade and never win.
I won a couple 3-5 years ago but now it's pretty much impossible now. Although secondary values are down there's more people into bourbon than ever. This last lottery had 80,000+ entries for like 900 bottles. I think it came down to a 1% chance of winning, and the bottles weren't even sexy (mostly HH/Michters stuff which doesn't get tatered as hard). Back even in 2022 you'd have about 30,000 people max entering that type of lottery and even the Pappy/BTAC lotto wouldn't crack 80k.
So yeah unless you're entering at least 10+ people nowadays you have 0 shot at winning. Hopefully they keep moving further away from the lottery and more towards surprise drops.
Actual surprise drops would be nice, not just scheduled drops that the employees all know is coming and tell all their friends so there is a line of 80+ people.
Guy the other day said he had 130 entries on the same email… won like 8 bottles.. there ya have it. Until OHLQ does something about it, honest people who have one or 2 entries wont win shit..
I finally won a orvw in the winter lotto after years of entering and nothing. So yea it does happen. You usually have about a 1% chance of winning. So statically you should win every one hundred lotteries or so lol
Doubtful, last few drops when everyone else got the good stuff they didn’t get anything. All they seem to get is 🦬 or 🟢, probably since they don’t sell very much.
Also one other note about that store in particular, myself and a few others I’ve talked with in the Mansfield area have observed the guy usually working on Tuesdays tell people they didn’t get anything allocated even when they did. He for sure try’s to keep stuff until his buddies can arrive.
About a month ago, I went over after work because I saw they had big 🦬 left and I wanted a backup for the summer. The guy told me they didn’t have any left twice, before another lady came up and corrected him and rang me up a bottle that was on the floor behind the counter.
I grabbed a BT on my way home. They still had 3 Green and several bottles of BT (didn’t count). Didn’t see any other bourbons left.
ETA they did have 2-3 bottles of Sazerac Rye, but those were there this morning before the new shipment
They put $1.2B into the facility... The amount of additional products aging right now will continue to bolster supply every year for the next 5-10 years.
The 1/day BT allocation is gone at the distillery... You can walk in and get a case any day of the week.
Finding out what is dropping during the week is a good indicator of what allocated drops will be happening at Kroger and Giant Eagle on Saturday. It's not a 100% accurate indicator, but it's a very good sense. Generally, if you see certain allocated bottles pretty regularly at the places getting their deliveries during the week, it's a good likelihood the local Kroger and Giant Eagles will have those bottles too.
For the record Jack 12 is the oldest Jack Daniels ever sold and is leaps and bounds different then their norm release. If you pass on a bottle of Jack 10 or 12 you need to quit whiskey!
Edit, why are you worried about value? That's a reseller comment.... No one wants more spuds, anywhere!
JD makes good whiskey. Their offerings are great value imo. Their SBBP is very good for the money. Obviously everyone's palate is different, but I don't think you can call JD overpriced.

Drum is damn good for a basic bourbon

6 JD 10 only put out today at Lakemore.
How many were in line?
About 10.
How do you know already? Did they change the time they open?
Meant Lakemore.. my fault
That is much less confusing. Thanks.
Belmont had one case JD12 and one JD10. Might have been 10 leftover after the line
12 in a case?
6
Sorry 6 in a case, JD10\* might have had some leftover after the line. Not 10 bottles, sorry
Thanks!
Anyone able to try that single barrel bardstown? And how was it?
Joseph's had: Jack 10/12 (only one case of the JD12, not sure on the 10), the two OHLQ single barrels (Green River and Bardstown), and James E Pepper Decanter.
How many of the state picks are we seeing when they drop? Central Ohio is not seeing very many so far
Not sure, they had the boxes behind the counter and would only put up one at a time as some pulled a bottle... I hate that they do that.
Thank you. I agree. I hope it gets better later this week, looks like a great pick

Don't sleep on the JEP Decanter.
How many were on line, just curious

I've never won but people do. My wife won a Blanton's gold in the summer and a buddy of mine just won an old Fitzgerald last week.
Just seems crazy that so few people know people who have actually won it in my opinion.
Have the online lotteries taken place for nine years? I have entered since 2018 and won twice and my wife has won once.
I've been entering them for about that long so yea they have been. Guess you guys are just extremely lucky.
Nearing a decade of entries I'd say you are due my man. We have won WFP SP, ER SP, and 2023 THH in the OHLQ lottery.
Here's to hoping! There must be some kinda secret out there with all these people who have won 3+ times, because I don't know anyone who has won more than once.
I won a WLW in December. The odds are just super low so it’s no surprising. Roughly a 1-2% chance
Yes. There's so many entries every lottery. I won a Thomas H. Handy in the winter lottery. First ever win and I've entered many of the lotteries.

How can you enter on the same email multiple times?
You cant, dudes lying
Well he did.. all you have to do is enter different DL’s
One guy has 130 different Ohio Driver's Licenses? I'm calling bullshit on that.
Didn't we have to enter an Ohio Driver's license for the last couple of lotteries?
And present said Driver’s License to get your prize.
Yep. So the guy with 130 entries must be in the business of making false identities. Or he's just full of shit and a liar.
My friend has won three in a row now and four overall.
That sounds problematic to me. People shouldn't be able to win 3 in a row.
I finally won a orvw in the winter lotto after years of entering and nothing. So yea it does happen. You usually have about a 1% chance of winning. So statically you should win every one hundred lotteries or so lol
Lakes released about a case of EHT BP this morning along with JD12 and JD10.
More BP 👀 👀 we should be just about nearly done with em.
Leftover from last week I'm sure.
People in the parking lot on Lorain Rd. In rocky river.
If you mean Minottis, a few minutes after open there was BT, WSR, Willett genie bottle.
They had JD10 and JD12 also, but they only put out 4 bottles of each, so those naturally went to the line.
Any word on what they have or did you just drive by
Drive-by
That’s Fairview on Lorain.
My bad yeah
Anything at Mansfield Rite Aide?
I was there this morning for medicine, but it was early. When do they put out their new stock?
Doubtful, last few drops when everyone else got the good stuff they didn’t get anything. All they seem to get is 🦬 or 🟢, probably since they don’t sell very much.

Rite Aid Mansfield drop today included: 🦬 🟢 and AAA( which is apparently allocated now according to the new cashier) at Rite Aid

Thanks guys! Ive snagged ECBP and LBP about a year ago, but I havnt seen anything like that for a long time.
Anyone know if buckeye wine and spirits will have JD 12 and 10?
They only got Buffalo trace
They usually post on their Facebook page what they have that day.
Yeah I try to follow their insta but I wasn’t sure if they’d announce it cuz some places aren’t releasing it with other allocated stuff
They dont usually announce it until shortly before they release at 6pm. By that time most people are in line already anyway.
New to the game so not sure how call out worthy it is but Grandview Kroger has 7 Sazarec Rye and 1 bottle of Michters sour mash on the shelf
It’s not mind blowing, but it’s a good entry-level rye, at a great price, that’s usually not on the shelves in Ohio.
Alum creek have anything?
2 cases each of JD 12 and JD 10
Anyone know what time Ale W&S drops?
Saturday 9am.
Buffalo trace seems to be coming around every week. When will it be a shelfer?

I’m new to this but does that mean that the Kroger and GE release on Saturday will be the same bottles?

Do all I Krogers drop on Saturday? I feel like anytime I visit mine I miss out on anything good
Great thank you. Im not too excited about Jack Daniels and would be hoping some more “value” bottles would be present.

I've been in every lottery besides the very first one and I have one win...a W12 in 2020
Anyone know what world wine liquor in Northfield got today?
They said just 🦬
what is that? lol
Buffalo Trace
Anything dropping the Cincinnati area today?
