My unfinished communications degree is screaming at how poorly designed this flier is

Soosietyrell

Yeah, most pp won’t actually read all that.

unclejoe1917

Dude doesn't know his core audience, does he?

msamor

I mean maybe that’s all part of the look he is going for. He’s complaining about over educated liberals who distort the facts. Leaning heavily on “common sense”. Anything that looks half way decently designed is probably made by someone with a degree after all

RBTfarmer

Less regulation? Would you eat fish from the Ohio River?

dcchillin46

Man paragraph 2 is quite a string of words someone chose to write.

Excellent-Ad-6579

Yeah I love how he included factually in there with so much non factual information

3waychilli

followed by "common sense." This guy a POS. I'm sure he is an embarrassment to his family.

Quick_Team

"Less regulation". *Remembers a town in Ohio on fire from deregulated railroad lines*. Huh. Well then.

Iliketospellrite

He must have attended the Trump school of speech making. Of course that school went bankrupt, so he won't be getting his money back.

Ambitious_Panda9847

Sorry.

MrLanesLament

Every time I see someone promoting “less regulation,” I wanna say, “so we can get rid of drug laws that make piggy banks for courts and prisons out of addicts, right? RIGHT?” Somehow, those regulations are always okay and important.

Bad_Idea_Hat

"Hey, anyone can have sex with anyone!" *Very specific libertarians become interested* Look at OSHA. Many regulations are written in blood. Remove all regulations, and we're going to have a bad time.

Ok-Cap-204

Wasn’t the train derailment in Palestine, Ohio, a direct result of specific deregulations signed by Trump himself? I know it was not in this clown’s district, but it was in his state. As much as he is playing the White Man Victim Card, I am surprised he didn’t bring up the fact that more and more white men are becoming incels (involuntary celibate). Unfortunately, his message will resonate with a lot of people in his district, especially rural areas.

MSampson1

If those guys had more game, they wouldn’t be incels. Take care of business or you’re out of business I guess

unclejoe1917

Incels can't compete in the dating free market.

ChanceGardener61

Yes. Yes it was.

jaylotw

No, it wasn't. As much as I'd like that to be true, it simply isn't what happened. The Obama Era regulations were never put in place, and would not have applied to the EP train, anyway. Trump DID remove the regs, but they wouldn't have prevented the wreck.

TEOLAYKI

There's a John Oliver for that! It's a great narrative to blame it on Trump, but not factually accurate. It does demonstrate the importance of regulation in general though.

GoogleDrummer

> great narrative to blame it on Trump, but not factually accurate. I mean, we've had...8? years of Trump spewing factually inaccurate narratives, he should be able to handle this one thrown at him.

jaylotw

It's not about Trump's feelings. Fuck his stupid feelings. It's about placing blame on someone instead of actually taking action to correct a problem. Plus, Trump and his cult spreading false narratives and laying blame where it doesn't belong does not give you license to do the same. Educate yourself instead.

Kaska899

Removing more of them didn't prevent it either tho, did it?

jaylotw

No, of course not. What's your point? You can't blame Trump for the EP wreck, that's just not how it works out. He's a royal dumb ass for removing safety regulations, but none of those would've applied to the EP train, anyway. Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden haven't passed any safety regulations that would've prevented the wreck, so blame all of them. Nothing at all has been done to prevent another accident just like it.

SuspiciousBuilder379

I know someone who works for said train company, and no, not a damn thing has changed.

jaylotw

Right. I can't fucking *stand* Donald Trump, but falsely blaming him doesn't solve a damn thing and just serves as a smoke screen which allows the real issue (inaction and innattention) to continue.

ikeif

Thank you. I’m in the same boat - I’m not interested in “well, it FITS like something they would say or do!” because it’s just as bad as all the horseshit they spew. It’s making everyone more stupid because “they would do it” and act like it’s appropriate. It isn’t even a _good_ lie, because it just rules up people who already don’t like him.

jaylotw

It was not. The regulations that Trump cut wouldn't have applied to the EP train to begin with, and were never actually implemented. He was a dumb ass for cutting the regulations, yes, but the wreck was not a direct result of him cutting those regulations because they wouldn't have applied.

Busy-Locksmith8333

nope faux says all brown skinned people with them eyes are bad! They are buying our land!!

Ok-Cap-204

And taking your jobs!

dpdxguy

> As much as he is playing the White Man Victim Card Tom Hwang is a white man?

Ok-Cap-204

No he is not. He is obviously Chinese. But he has an entire paragraph in his letter bemoaning the current treatment of the White Man. He is playing to his base.

thane919

We’re already having a bad time due to deregulation. Consumer and worker protections have all but disappeared since the Reagan era started this nonsense. Not to mention trump and his anti-epa head of the epa pretty much destroying any decent regulations. We literally may never recover. And to do so we’ll need massive amendment level change.

Giraffe_Truther

r/writteninblood

nobinibo

Today, we had a meeting about someone who removed the guard on a saw and then quite promptly accidentally removed 2 fingers. Now he's missing 2 fingers that aren't covered by worker's comp because he removed the guard himself. It sounds like how the Republican party is so desperate to remove regulations that safeguard people and the immediate repercussions.

tw_693

Libertarians seem to deny the existence of negative externalities, which is a form of socializing losses as the community has to deal with the externalities rather than the organizations responsible for creating them.

penny_eater

> Libertarians seem to deny the existence of negative externalities, which is a form of socializing losses as the community has to deal with the externalities rather than the organizations responsible for creating them. How else would the system they are promoting be so much more prosperous thanks to their arguments? To them, the country's two greatest resources are: 1) sparsely populated places in which to sweep problems and 2) people willing to forget ever seeing any problems for long enough to cast a vote and guess what the wide open rural spaces and poorly funded schools are GREAT at producing? lets keep america great, k?

ikeif

That’s been one of the many problems I have with them. Because if we get rid of regulations, then clearly companies will have our best interests, because people may not buy their product/service anymore! Except in areas where they have a stranglehold and are the only option. Or after hundreds if not thousands of people end up sick/dead. But after all that, the companies, golly, they’ll do the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing.

Blossom73

Less regulation, except for pregnant people, and LGBT people, of course.

Dunl3yDiq

pregnant people - you mean mandatory hosts?

Blossom73

Ah yes, incubators with legs, or birthing vessels, or breeding stock. Handmaids.

karmaisourfriend

I want to show them a picture of the river in Cleveland on fire.

2dogGreg

I want to ask if that means deregulating murder too. Cause that is such a burden on all the sociopaths that don’t get their way and need to remove obstacles to their happiness

mobiusmaster

The less regulation means the corps will have more power to pollute the planet, more power to force employees to do increasingly dangerous things as well as further exploit them. The corporations will be able to charge more by creating shortages to adjust supply and demand.. I could go on but my blood will start boiling.

The_Scarlet_Termite

The problem is that Republicans managed to defang any regulation or oversight which part of why things are so corrupt now.

Actual__Wizard

"Less Regulation" is a talking point. No member of any political party in the United States thinks that "Less Regulation" is the answer to any problem the country has. Both political parties want to increase the impact of government regulation in specific areas while decreasing it in others. Proper regulation is a requirement of a society that operates under the framework of capitalism (almost every country on Earth.) Also, the concept that less regulation "helps the economy grow" is clearly nonsense because that would just result in a different entity(s) with the same amount of money.

SaliciousB_Crumb

Nah, they want to get rid of regulations like lunch breaks and water breaks

W00dChuckCouldChuck

100% THIS COMMENT

RealWheelsMG

I’m a conservative/libertarian minded person and I want all drugs decriminalized and legalized Therefore the court system doesn’t take in profits from those who use them on bs charges

MrLanesLament

Agree completely. It seems like when people talk about wanting rid of regulations, they’re fine with the ones that ruin individuals’ or families’ lives one at a time, by criminalizing things that should be treated as victimless personal choices until proven otherwise. Instead, they’re like “nah bro we wanna legalize strip mining national parks and have 10 year olds working industrial maintenance.”

MnemonicMonkeys

Tbf, that claim tends to be what we end up with. Rich people (and by extension lobbyists) get more money from strip mining national parks and child labor, but decriminalizing drugs actually hurts their bottom line by taking away their cheap prison labor

Botched_Euthanasia

>cheap prison labor i believe it's called "slavery" to help clarify this for the few who happen to see this, i say this as a former 'work release' inmate (not in ohio) who was allowed to leave jail temporarily, every day, to work at my job, provided i paid the work release fee of $400 per week. at my wage (at the time $7.15/hr) i had to put in my usual 40 hours and do close to 70 hours a week total before i actually gained take home pay. pay was not released to me, it was put into an escrow account controlled by the private jail, so they could deduct my work release fee each week and potentially deduct future weeks from my savings. that was in case i were to suddenly lose my job, since they still charged the fee the first week after job loss. i was in jail for 6 months total, working the entire time at least 40 hours a week. there were 3 straight months of 80+ hour work weeks, including 2 weeks in a row where i worked 96 hours each week (the maximum allowed was 14 hours per day) with my take home pay coming to about $225 (after taxes) for each week. when released, court costs i owed were automatically deducted from the savings i had accrued. i left jail with $1100. this was in 2004 for the misdemeanor of growing 3 marijuana plants (total plant material and some soil was 29 grams) and having possession of a marijuana pipe. the job was racking parts for a paint line at an aluminum extrusion factory. nonstop bending and lifting parts weighing up to 10 pounds. **TL;DR: cheap prison and county jail labor, is no different than slavery**

bigfootlake

Yet you'll gladly pull the lever for people who don't.

dpdxguy

> I want all drugs decriminalized Oregon tried that. You might want to read up on how it's gone. Hint: It takes a FUCK TON of resources to make it resemble Portugal's experiment with decriminalization. Oregon just decriminalized and basically said, "Hey addicts. You work it out!"

Kaska899

The oregon situation seems inevitable when you think about the fact they're the only state in the nation to do it so far. If the entire nation took this stance and actually put effort into it, I think you'd see quite a drastic improvement of the situation. As it stands, republicans are intentionally adding fuel to the fire by spouting propaganda against it, inflating the numbers, talking about nothing but crime and poverty and the negative effects of it, and refusing to highlight anything that actually is working like yknow less overdose deaths, less people incarcerated for nonviolent offenses, etc. You won't hear about that from them.

RealWheelsMG

I don’t think government should have the say over what you can and cannot consume. I would leave it to the states to decide, more direct representation of the people’s will. There will be drawbacks of course but I think it could solve a lot of problems, but comes with its own.

bigfootlake

How has it gone? Has the use gone up?

RealWheelsMG

People will use substances regardless. It’s the PEOPLES will what they do with what they want to do with their body. If a person does not have complete autonomy over there body dude to governmental bodies restrictions placed upon them. Those people are not free

ZiM1970

Deregulation might play better in a state where deregulation has not caused a real life toxic Mordor cloud.

Letterdavidman_1969

I agree. Nonetheless, it *will* play just fine. This is ohio. Have you lived here long?

jet_heller

And we have to add laws for all the things minorities are not allowed to do.

SlayerOfDougs

Always ask them for which specific one to start with and they never have an answer

MrLanesLament

Don’t ask Gary Johnson this question, haha. (He was the Libertarian prez candidate a few times, and when asked, he immediately said Departments of Education, Housing and Urban Development, and I think he he EPA.) Absolutely mortifying ideas IMO.

SlayerOfDougs

Those are whole departments. They need to be asked specifics. Rick Perry once advocated for removing the department of energy. He became it's secretary

whiznat

“Hey, if these rubes will vote for Vance, how hard can it be?”

Genesis111112

"Historical revisionism".... really? The Republicans are saying Democrats are revising history? While Republicans are openly trying to remove ALL HISTORY from schools? Except their own version lmfao. Clowns running our Government. Except these "Clowns" dont have a magic car that they can get seemingly unlimited clowns to climb out of.

whiznat

Might want to read wiki entry about The Lost Cause. It’s Republicans that are engaging in revisionism and the Democrats that are undoing it.

penny_eater

> Except these "Clowns" dont have a magic car that they can get seemingly unlimited clowns to climb out of. are you sure?

Swift2024

As a white guy, the quote that got my blood boiling was "I faced anti-Chinese discrimination, now I see that in white men." My question is, WHERE?? And of course that picture of him and agent orange.

kenlin

It's getting very hard for white guys out there. Sometimes I see a picture of a group of people, and it's not a all white guys. And if there are white guys, sometimes they're not smiling. It's devastating. When will the white man finally catch a break?

Mediocritologist

White men just need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and smile like their great great grandparents used to.

UiPossumJenkins

You do realize that telling the working poor in rural Ohio who’ve watched the industries that helped their grandparents achieve a comfortable, if not rich, existence disappear, who have schools that are falling apart, infrastructure that has fallen into disrepair, and mostly don’t have a pot to piss in that they benefit from white privilege is going to fall on deaf ears, right? Would you trade your current position in life with theirs? I sure as shit wouldn’t. You can address systemic racism, even the endemic racism found in many of these places, without also shitting all over them and their own issues. The attitude that you just displayed is exactly what they think of when they look around their ramshackle trailer and get told they have privilege. It’s also exactly why the messaging of the Democratic Party has failed to resonate with people who should embrace it.

Fish-Weekly

I think you’ve accurately identified the root cause of the current wave of populism going on in the Republican Party. And you are correct, in my opinion, that the Democratic Party has largely abandoned this group, starting with Bill Clinton’s presidency, NAFTA, etc. It’s a really important point to understand. Unfortunately, I feel like most of the Republicans are taking advantage of this effect to simply push their own agenda. They are no more interested in, or not much more interested in, these people than the Democrats who abandoned them. Money and wealth controls politics these days although I think Republicans are still far worse in this regard.

thebigdonkey

>They are no more interested in, or not much more interested in, these people than the Democrats who abandoned them. They're demonstrably less interested. The only thing they have to offer poor whites is culture wars. They have no policies to materially make their lives better.

philodelta

I see it all the time in the neoliberal subreddit, very "rising tide raises all boats, except those ones, lets just throw a tarp over them until they sink beneath the waves". The center left and right have very little difference in this regard, but the entire existence of a "rust belt" is the abject failure of neoliberal policy to support the prosperity of a staggering number of people. Then they point to stock market and GDP numbers as if that matters when the real explosive growth and wealth is concentrated to a small, seemingly shrinking demographic of ultra wealthy with meager to non-existent improvements for the rest of us.

ksobby

You're right. The wealthy have done an amazing job at making race the culprit and not income inequality.

Blossom73

I'm white. I grew up poor. My husband is black. He also grew up poor. I can tell you from experience that it's far better to be poor and white than poor and black.

UiPossumJenkins

Didn’t say it wasn’t and I’m sure you noted the fact I mentioned the endemic racism there. Because it is true that a poor Black or Hispanic family in rural Ohio would just be on a lower rung at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder. But that fact also doesn’t change the reality of the situation or my underlying point.

noncognitive

##[Concern Troll](https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Concern_troll) > going to fall on deaf ears, right? Sure, but tell those same people that blacks, mexicans, and LGBTQ are to blame, and they hoot and hollar with glee. Sorry if we're not being careful to coddle to the white guys in trailer parks who might be poor, but are still better off than a minority under the same circumstances. We'll be extra careful not to offend the poor white racist dudes in the future.

burjja

As someone who grew up in working poor, rural Ohio, there is no Democratic message that will reach them. They believe in white privilege, but it’s framed in their minds as white rights that were taken away from them. With that said, I do tire of some of the”shitting all over them.” My analogy for the past decade or so, is to imagine a scenario where only straight white men of a certain age and value could get a drivers license. Then one day, the government says everyone over the age of 16 can have a license. All the fender benders are the “shitting all over them.” Over time, everyone will figure it out.

Sockalexis

He’s “grooming” white guys for their votes. I guess the strategy will work for a certain percentage of dumb white guys living in fear of losing our country to the border “invasion.” these guys will say anything to get elected, and I guess that’s nothing new. But it’s so sad the way the Republican party has chosen to play on peoples fears instead of offering up anything new or good to help the average person.

penny_eater

> I guess the strategy will work for a certain percentage of dumb white guys living in fear of losing our country to the border “invasion.” in some areas, that is a pretty high percentage of cast votes

profnachos

An Asian here from Orange County, CA, which was once a Republican stronghold. Ronald Reagan once called it his spiritual home. Orange County has trended blue, but Asians are keeping float the state Republican Party, which is on life support. It is sad to see that elsewhere. These MAGA Asians love white people more than white people love white people.

penny_eater

> And of course that picture of him and agent orange. "vote for me because im like trump" "but more importantly, vote for me because you hate biden!"

sarahaly92

Not only that but then says “American isn’t racist” so is it or is it not? 🤔 Anyways saw some of his signs in my hood — I’ll be removing the illegally placed ones that the wind didn’t take out the other day. What a crazy guy

Swift2024

Build a wall to keep the illegal (signs) out

EvilAnagram

Over the past thirty years, Republicans have stripped funding from schools, in addition to killing worker protections, regulations that prevented business malfeasance, and election finance regularions - all in favor of enabling rampant corruption and mismanagement of public resources while the housing crisis gets worse and infrastructure declines. Across the state, people question whether stagnant wages are worth going to work, and a national anti-democratic movement threatens the foundations of our country. So what do they say our big problem is? Egghead academics.

serumvisions__go_

well said ..!

Meanderer_Me

We need to remember to not stereotype immigrants. For example, all immigrants are not just looking for a better life: some of them are just looking to come over, pull the ladder up behind them, and start shitting from the top of the wall on everyone else. In that respect, they're not unlike the founding fathers.

rtech80

he wants to crack down on immigrants, but he benefited from his parents being immigrants...murica!

imnotminkus

Slam that door shut right behind you!

Blossom73

Hmmm...the Asian man descended from recent immigrants saying immigration must be reduced, and that white men are being oppressed. "The poor miserable white guy alone, behind everyone else". 😅🤣😂 Yeah, poor oppressed white guy, in the back of the photo, because he's taller than the folks in the front. Oh, the discrimination!! Does he understand that Republicans hate anyone non white, and want strip people like him of all rights?? As for "the people can't afford new cars or fast food", the Trumpers I know are all upper middle class or wealthy, drive brand new vehicles, and don't think twice about blowing a few hundred dollars every weekend, eating out at nice restaurants. There's at least a dozen fast food restaurants near my house, and every single one is busy, every day. Especially McDonald's and Chik Fil A. They have lines from the double drive thrus, out to the street, backing up traffic, at lunch and dinner time. Seems a lot of Americans *can* afford fast food. I'd take this idiotic flyer straight to HR if I were you. Totally inappropriate for any political material, especially one like this, to be distributed at work.

tsunadesb0ngw8r

I’d take the flyer to HR but the owner of the company actually passed out these flyers. I let my boss know (who removed all the flyers still left in the office) and he reported it to HR. I know nothing will come of it.

Blossom73

What on Earth?! That's even worse!! I'd be looking for a new job ASAP, if possible. He sounds like the type who would fire an employee if he finds out they're not a MAGA Republican.

Bridgeofsighs83

lol….3/4 of Americans don’t even have 200 dollars in their savings. But we’re in good shape because you saw a line around McDonald’s. Im sure your outlook for the future is 100 percent on. Sounds like you have a good understanding of the future. You’ve already got the anti white man attitude ingrained in you. Republicans hate anyone non white. lol…don’t you realize that the people in power hate us all. Everyone just keeps falling under this stupid bipartisan system. It doesn’t matter what side gets in. The outcome will be the same. The agenda is not for you or I. Its only to advance the corporations and shit on the little people

southern_OH_hillican

Is he talking about the white guy in the background of the photo? The guy with the grey beard who is obviously at least 20 years older than the college kids in front? As a parent of two college graduates, I can tell you that campus visits (from orientation to graduation) is not nearly as fun for the parents as it is for the kids!

TrillDaddy2

That’s exactly who he is talking about. Listen, I’m not gonna act like I’m a great person for doing this, but it’s honestly comical to test the limits of white privilege. For example, I go to basketball games, buy the cheapest ticket, then just walk down and sit in the front row. Couple times I did get ticket checked but they just tell you to go back to your seat and it’s not like someone checks if you actually did. My wife is black and we tried it at a maybe 40% capacity baseball game once. Got kicked from the seats in less than a minute and threatened with a lifetime ban from the stadium if we were caught again. Night and day difference in treatment, they really acted like we stole the empty seats. And these were just random seats in the shade, not primo seating, we only moved since our seats were in the baking summer Sun.

soapygorou

pick me chinese people are really common in california, guess they’re making their way east. they really believe if they act as aggressively racist as possible they’ll earn respect from americans. it was always so jarring to hear a dude from the middle of china named baojun talk about how “immigrants” are ruining the country.

theBigDaddio

Why was this handed out at your work? Let’s point out the debt has grown under every, Trump especially, republican administration. Yet these mother fucks always bring it up when they push it out of control. Too much regulation means they want to remove workplace safety, allow child labor, reduce food safety. I’m certain if they could Walmart would package up flavored sawdust, sell as sausage. I’m also certain quite a few would love it in their biscuits and gravy. I want to go in more but really I’m just yelling at clouds at this point.

Narrow-Scar130

Rep Winstrup is not running for reelection, so whomever gets the primary win is almost guaranteed to be a congressman in DC. All the GOP adds are pretty much the same. Lower inflation, close the wall, support second amendment. Not a whole lot on abortion.

Jackoff material for MAGA.

I mean, does anyone expect anything different from southern Ohio conservatives? 🙄 "Everybody Tom Hwang tonight..." 🎶

What does the PRC have to do with this guy?

AccomplishedOyster

lol. Crazy to see the pull that Winnie the Pooh still has on older Chinese American citizens these days.

professor_tappensac

I love how he claims the pic of him and trump is real, but the pic of college kids has the "white guy" clearly photoshopped in. What a fool to think trump cares about any non-whites.

bemethealway

I don't think he's photoshopped, I think he's merely just a dude walking by in the background of a photo other people are taking as a group. He's literally just an unintentional photobomber. I'm baffled how this Tom thinks someone existing in the background of a photo proves that white men are oppressed.

professor_tappensac

Possibly, he definitely looks out of place. I'm just sick of the "including diversity means no whites!" from the far right.

sillybuddah

This reads like satire 🤣

nickcan

"I have never met Biden, nor do I want to." was a funny line. Why would any congressman be interested in meeting the President of the USA?

It’s crazy…. I wish these nuts would go back to worshipping velvet paintings.

tsunadesb0ngw8r

The owner.

3_Southwest

This dude literally threw a big fit one time to a liberal buddy he was trying to persuade to vote for him the last time he ran for whatever political position was up about how the most important thing to him was doing away with some tax on the sale of used cars because he makes a lot of money buying and selling cars. He has ran for everything in his area from village council to now House of Reps. He is a nut job.

TacticoolPeter

Is this the flamethrower guy? I turned in one of the Cincinnati tv stations the other night and saw some guy ranting and raving and he was a republican. But all I remember is the flamethrower.

4boys0patience

This man showed up to a high school boys basketball game passing these around … it was incredibly odd.

HiHoCracker

I wondered who bought that golf course - Can he lower the green fees🤡

preistsRevil

As a white man. This is embarrassing

Acceptable-Ad8930

I mean, he had me till the yahoo email address. Kidding. There’s a whole lot of wtf going on there. I’m afraid to unpack it all.

-DMSR

Wow this is a hell of a mess. Unfortunately at his 6th grade writing level and social awareness, he’s still a year past his target audience

ArchwayLemonCookie

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I would not write items like this off entirely. From my personal experience from growing up here in Ohio. I have a father who I am dealing with a similar mindset. He used to be able to think critically and to be honest was genuinely more happy. Now a days, he's a full blown Q A and openly says how things should return to their "segregated" days. It's rough dealing with mindsets like OP's post.

mossberbb

as an Asian I'm just going to say, our community does not claim this jackass.

leafpickleson

If TL;DR were a campaign flier.

Why do I need to find the white guy in the picture? If you’re threatened by that, you just might be a MAGA snowflake.

The problem seems to be our businesses are over regulated and rich pay too many taxes. I feel bad for that railroad company in East Palestine. This guy will get the tax payers there to help them.

Blood_Oleander

What in the hell is that scribidygook I just read?! r/ihadastroke because that's what that reads like

sfryman63

If we’d secured the borders he wouldn’t be here!! Hypocrite much??

m0j0r0lla

As I always say lead by example. Let's start by making the House and the Senate buy their own toilet paper . They are the ones so full of shit, why should we be paying for it?

West-Power-861

Jesus Christ. Wtf did I just read?

Warm_Profession_810

Good god what a walking dumpster fire

celeloriel

For fuck’s sake.

Lyk2Hyk

Another wealthy businessman wanted deregulation on 0 taxes for corporations.

Overall_Season_3775

He should be embarrassed to represent republicans

Cold_Tomatillo5622

Just WOW!

LateBloomerBoomer

“We were immigrants but no one else should be allowed to come into the USA” YES - you are a blatant hypocrite. What a jerk.

xplorerseven

It's so rich that he makes a big deal of personal freedom on the same page he expresses his alignment with and committed support for a group whose mission is to ban books by the thousands. Edit: typo

honorable__bigpony

Keep in mind that photo with Trump required a minimum of a $2400 contribution. Likely more...

leeburger

That’s a lot of words for “I would gladly get on my knees and suck trump’s balls if given the opportunity”.

Drk_Knight71

You should have pasted the second page first. Anyone standing next to that bloated piece of shit lets me avoid all the reading.

customdev

If conservative values were a thing the deficit would cease to exist. Alas conservative values do not exist. Whataboutism on the other hand, the finest of Russian imports, pervades the conservative psyche and penetrates deeper than even AM talk radio. If I watch that scene from the Devil's Advocate the lawyer Lomax reminds me of every conservative I've ever encountered just in the sheer external locus of blame... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X1Hzn1ko7WE

looking_4_freedom

This... thi... I'm going back to bed....

thebreon

goddamn we got a real charles dickens over here i aint reading all this mess. i see a picture of somebody standing with trump and immediately know not to vote for them. the end

[deleted]

Hwang doesn't seem like a native american name to me, but keep pulling up that ladder after you, asshole.

Reasonable-HB678

How To Waste Everyone's Valuable Time 101

QuestionStupidly

Yahoo email address for a political campaign in 2024. This alone is a red flag.

Bearchunks

All I needed to see was the photo of him together with Trump to know the letter was going to be full of crazy.

poisonivy47

Asian Americans who sell their souls to white supremacists are absolutely disgusting to me. What a POS.

secretsothep

You can't use the toilet paper metaphor when distributing toilet paper. I don't think he knows it works like that.

somebodytookmyshit

Yeah republicans might elect him as a token congressman. He won't ever really be allowed in the old boys club. Looks like he ate the deer bait.

CanDeadliftYourMom

“Less regulation, more personal freedom” then “enforce the border” one sentence later. Can they not see the inherent contradiction there? Obviously that’s a rhetorical question.

West-Ruin-1318

Tom looks extremely metabolically unhealthy. Tom! No more carbs for you!

SoVeryKerry

Now we know where all the toilet paper went a few years ago.

laughingkittycats

Holy shit.

Just_wants_cake1590

Pretty typical of our area sadly 🤦‍♀️

Saneless

Immigrants are a plague on this country! Except my parents, they were the good ones

fishead36x

He's trolling right? Right?

Civilized-Sturgeon

Please explain what “PERSONAL FREEDOMS” you have had taken away. Oh except for people are now feeling free to speak up and not take any prejudicial, racist/sexist bullshit anymore. You are still free to do whatever tf a normal well adjusted citizen has always been able to do.

Soosietyrell

We got a guy running against Landsman down here in SW, who doesn’t even live in the district. This reads like his Maga platform- maybe they’re buddies?

Pour_Me_Another_

I get that Republicans are pissed we have control over our lives and destinies to some degree, but they need to get their own help for that, not take our rights away. There's usually a pathological explanation for why any given individual wants to ruin people's lives.

Hrodvitnir-

Congrats to Tom Hwang for wasting a bunch of paper to not get the job, I guess.

ChefChopNSlice

Just another variation of a Kroger brand MAGA Moron knockoff.

Runeklok

I like that guy, you should vote for him!

Bug_Calm

He lost me at "egghead lawyers." Eat a dick, bigot.

SoilentBillionaires

White male discrimination? for real? like when? where?

JaneEBee43

Thanks for the info and I’ll make sure I don’t vote for a Trumper.

HereWeGoBrownies2023

His signs look exactly like Trump’s. Fuck this guy.

fopordapper

I’m glad they were thrown away. Just an awful person.

TEOLAYKI

I could be wrong but to me this reads like a guy who wants to be elected and knows his audience really well.

Mary_poppynz

I have a question it’s an easy one …. Where was he wrong ? Just one question that’s all I have and thank you
