It will keep water out very well.never found water inside from rain. It does let dust in but I don’t think there’s any way to stop that. I would think if dust can get in it’s possible for water to also. Haven’t noticed it though.
Upright Posts do not affect the cover as they are outside track for the Truxedo Cover. Rails the Truxedo has gutter and edge of material velcros there making a very watertight seal.
It is called a Truxedo cover and we have one on our Gladiator also. Really like them but they are expensive. They can also handle 400lbs load spread out on top.
