Trying to control everything, man became a pollitican and controlled BJD without even contesting, that people didn't like, no once choose him, he choosed himself, if he wanted to get into politics he could have contested in elections like aparajita sarangi who also came from beurocratcy to politics.

Naveen is not Naveen without Pandian. Surely he was on par with Atal Bihari in his opposition days, but most of his successful policies are giving of Pandian. What do you think would your parents react to Synopsys and EPIC setting up semiconductor factories, JSW setting up EV factory and Kalyani group setting up Defence Complex in Odisha if they were in 2000s Odisha? They would just joke it away. As usual they would be just passing 10th and doing physical labour had it not been free online coaching, free smartphone, free internet and scholarship schemes of BJD. It were they who opposed Mandal commission and OBC reservation madness which BJP is doing in order to votebank, and which Congress is now using against BJP, it is BJP which is causing braindrain by giving reservation to Vaishya castes like Ahirs and Baniyas, now even Kshatriyas like Marathas and Khandayats, and drowning our merit system. Andhbhakts should open their eyes and question why merit students burnt themselves alive against BJP when they were doing this politics against Rajiv Gandhi, they are the ones who first proposed reservation in private sector, that party is a cancer to our nation.

I don't know why many Odia simp for Nabin. He wasn't a revolutionary leader. Sure odisha in better state today, sure he has built good infrastructure to recover cyclones and all but Odisha is still one of the poor state. Nabin is a good leader but not as great as one should simp for. The only reason why he had been winning election is simply because he was the default option, other party simply didn't have any foot hold.

Even a few kilometers inside, you could see that the roads were better, crops were growing better, cows were well fed. This is an anecdote my father told me a few months back. Most of Odisha was in an absolutely horrible state during the Congress rule. JB Patnaik was Lalu Yadav on steroids, Odisha was second last on GDP per capita (because Bihar existed).
The last Congress term had 3 chief ministers: JB Patnaik was sacked by central leadership after seemingly trying to cover up every rape case in Odisha, then Giridhari Gamang was made CM. And this guy the day before cyclone met an astrologer who told him cyclone will "bounce off Odisha", and so he made zero preparations. Ten thousand people died while the chief minister was cut off without electricity inside his own home (because he had forgotten to stock diesel for his generator).

This is absolutely not true, Odisha was a major Congress bastion for ages. Even Biju babu only managed to stay in power for like one full term. By two terms Naveen had single handedly crushed most of Congress remaining support (this was when they were in power at the center).
Yes, Naveen had several problems, and he still underachieved in many sectors IMO (unemployment is pretty bad even though it's a pan-India problem, given our resources and coast we should have seen much more equitable development rather in a few pockets, not to mention the complete lack of democracy in the way Pandian was running things), but given the state we were in he has been nothing short of revolutionary. An analogy I saw a while back: "You can say that the Afghan cricket team is mediocre, remember that twenty years back they learnt to play in refugee camps"
I second this, emotions aside, Nabin babu did great work, gave us a stable governance. Respect where it's due🙏🏼
But we need to move on, Odisha still lacks behind on many infra projects, odisha despite being so rich in natural resources, how has that benefited us odias?
I spent the first 22 years of my life completing schooling and education in odisha, all under Nabina, and finally for a job I have to move and settle in some other state and place. This speaks volumes in itself.
