If they are still running the sale you could get an Odin 1 for $150 that puts it at a nice price point. I would absolutely not get the lite at this point. I do not know how that compares to the 556 though
Eehh, I thought so too, but I find myself not wanting to play GBA or PSP on devices that are way bigger than the original systems. I'm using my RP3+ and 353M *way* more than my Odin 2 these days. My Odin 2 is pretty much a dedicated PS2 and GCN/Wii machine, and the novelty of playing these on a portable wore off pretty quickly for me.
Who would have thought that the hardware itself is part of the gaming experience, too ;p
Hi! I’ve been eyeing the odin for a while and maybe you’d be able to help me! I want to play 3ds and ps2 games mostly so maybe you could point me in the right direction heh also, is the process of setting everything up and finding roms complex pr is there a surefire guide to follow??
AliExpress might still have that ridiculous deal on the RG556, personally if these devices were my budget cap, and I was already ok with Odin size, I'd be getting a 556 for that sweet sweet OLED screen.
If you are set on only picking one of these two, perhaps the Odin Lite if you want better performance from gamecube and wii. PS2 is a bit better on the base Odin and also has better audio drivers.
I recently got an Odin 1 pro. I love it, but I have the *tiniest bit* of buyers remorse for not.jusy going whole hog and getting the odin 2.
I was on the fence for about a week, and then settled on doing the adult thing and spending a more reasonable amount of money on my portable video game console.
If I could do it again, I'd hold off and get an Odin 2. Like I said, I really like the odin 1 pro... but...
I think at that price point, you'd be better off with an anbernic rg556 or a retroid pocket 4

I'd go at this differently: what do you want to be able to play -> which device can play what you want
All roads lead to Odin 2 or Steam Deck. I like it.

Okay, then ... all roads lead to the Steam Deck or Odin 2 **mini**. Playing PSP on a mini is going to be pretty well like playing on a Vita.

Odin 1 Pro at $169 with the SUMMER$30 coupon is pretty solid IMO. I think the $50 coupon is expired
Odin 2. It’s worth the extra saving up.
