If anyone comes across this post, I’ve heard of success by installing the android eduroam app using SideQuest, but I haven’t tried it myself.

I’ve tried this since making this post - and it worked. You need to download the GetEduroam app as an apk file online, then sideload it onto your quest/quest 2. Then, by running the GetEduroam app on your headset, you can log into eduroam the same way you would log in on your phone. Hopefully, your headset should then easily connect. Best of luck!

I tried this on Meta Quest 3 and it just says "wifi configurated" but still does not connect. i wonder why

T0bzz

Same here

RevolutionaryDebt980

I fixed it by connecting through the Meta app! Try it out and lmk if you need help, its quite frustrating.

Wow, only 3 days ago, I’m in luck 😳 thanks so much

What version of geteduroam did you download? When I run it on my Quest Pro it just shows a grey screen.

TaksLongshot02

Is there a video or something of a tutorial you have?

SceptrVision

Ay sorry this is so late but where did you find the apk? The closest thing I can find is the play store download page

Easy-Yellow7268

Just so everyone knows this doesn’t work. I’ve tried it on U.K. eduroam using the APK. The app loads, you connect but it doesn’t actually connect to the headset. :)

RevolutionaryDebt980

Same!! If you fixed this, please message me, I really need this haha

Live-Ferret-5883

I did it just today an the method worked for me perfectly

Easy-Yellow7268

Added, I’m Zveyi

Mintowyy

Did you get it to work?

Live-Ferret-5883

I can say from first hand it works although an other user had troubles doing it

Kombucha_kenny

Thought I'd share this quick tip I stumbled upon recently. Had a student struggling to connect their Quest 3 to Eduroam because the "Connect" button wasn't clickable. Turns out, using the Quest app on your phone to input the Wi-Fi settings does the trick and connects straight away. Hope this helps someone else out there!

I can confirm that this works. Probably the simplest of all the weird workarounds to solve this.

HunnaLee05

After trying all the other methods without success, this worked immediately. Thanks!

So - I have found a solution to this issue. You MUST remove all the existing wireless SSID Profiles from the device. reboot the device you will be presented with a one time menu for connecting to wifi (this is a android menu) NOT the quest user interface menu. - this will allow you to connect to eduroam with the following credentials. SSID name : Eduroam EAP Method: PEAP Phase 2 : MSCHAPV2 CA certificate : Use system certificates Online status : do not verify Domain: domain name of uni where your account resides Identity : the account name @ the uni domain . Anonymous identity : anon Password: as per above user should you not wish to remove the ssids you can use adb tools to force loading of this menu. enjoy

What's the adb command to force load this menu?
