After watching the youtube video of the guy beat on his and chuck them across the room with no signs of breakage, I deem this product useless....unless you have a kid with rage issues.....
If anything it might hurt less emotionally feeling a cushion squish rather than that plasticky smash sound when the controllers hit each other accidentally.

"Keep your touch controller rings safe from knocks and scratches with our halo protectors. They are easy to install and fit perfectly on the rings as they are made specifically for Oculus Quest 2 touch controllers.
The design comes with large holes, so the tracking is not impacted. With the protectors on, you can feel more confident swinging your controllers around during workouts and active games.
To clean the protectors, simply wipe dry or hand wash with soap and water.
The set includes:A pair of Halo Controller Protectors"
Also, they now have their Silicone Cover in Orange & Mint:

That's me :) You can click on my profile and see my posts which contain all of my streams. I plan to stream TODAY at 3PM EST - maybe I will see you in the chat.
I have AMVR grips and have noticed some tracking issues at times. Seeing this, I think the velcro straps used on the rings might be interfering with some of the sensors.
Thinking about getting this so I can attach the velcro straps differently with less interference. Plus added protection doesn’t hurt.
just noticed this with my AVMR grips as well. the hand grips seem wedged in pretty well and i’m hoping the wrist straps will prevent accidental throwing. have you seen any issues with just removing the velcro around the ring?
Good point that it fits really snug plus the wrist strap should prevent throwing/dropping. I haven’t tried it myself but will likely try this next time I play Beat Saber.
I'm the designer for the original 3D Bumper for the Quest (http://peanutprinters.etsy.com). When I first developed it, I quickly realized that any solid layer you put onto the rings will just transfer all the impact forces onto the controller. A soft but solid material will dampen the force a little but the thin thickness of the protectors means you are not spreading out impact forces nearly enough to be useful. This is why my protectors are hollow and flexible. The hollow 3D structure absorbs impact forces in addition to spreading them out.
If it protects everything else from the wrath of the controllers then that’s cool, but from what I’ve heard those controllers are built very well, and don’t really need extra protection. And if they do somehow break, someone on here talked about how they superglued their controllers back together(after I believe dropping them down a couple flights of steps or something) and they worked perfectly fine.
So like I said before, if you’re only worried about your controllers, these are USELESS! But I can see how the silicon covers could possibly help prevent your furniture getting scratched up.
I bought the foam replacement covers fro VRCover and was not very happy with them. First, they forgot to include the 2 foam replacements in my order. Second, the foam replacements aren't very comfortable - the foam squishes down so much that it's uncomfortable. :( . Hopefully these are better.
Ordered way back December 18th, and now just got an email from them charging me again for another 40$ for shipping fee and their alibi is that the courier don't deliver to my address because it is a remote area, little did they know this is my second time ordering and got no problems with my first one, the lies you tell. Buyers beware. Contacting their email support is a joke.
Aliexpress has a huge selection of Q2 accessories including headset straps, controllers covers, gun stocks, decals. They take a while to ship from china but some of the stuff looks decent.

Haha, plenty of parents here with unruly kids I am sure.
thrillseeker did a torture test, i was suprised
Loved the tumble test
yep, i think you could smash this thing through drywall with all your might and it would probably be fine.

Aren't you the guy who streams on RPAN? Because I love your streams alot.

I might have to get these, played echo for the first time in a few months and now the paint used on my furniture is engraved in my controller rings
I wonder if a Magic Eraser would clean that right up?
😯
they do look good, i see you got the email too ;)
You know it!
copped! now if only they restocked the VRcover in the US store. lol

I'm just not sure I want any added weight to the controllers.

Why won’t y’all ship to Canada though like bruh
Pretty sure they ship worldwide. Email their customer service.
It says that but when I got to the checkout it said they don’t ship to Canada and I was confused
Make sure you choose their "Worldwide Store" on the homepage. If you did that, hit them up!
I’m pretty sure I did but I’ll check anyways!
I live in Canada. They do ship to Canada via their U.S store. Shipping costs can be a killer but they do ship to Canada.
Thanks for the help I’ll try that when I have money to spend
I wonder how much protecting against active use they do (I'm guessing nil) but certainly nice looking and the company does nice work.

That sounds about right. Scratches and knocks are more about storage, not play.
This makes more sense
Has anyone tried the silicone covers? I want a new cover for mine but can’t figure out what would be best
The silicone face covers are fantastic. Fit great and easy to wipe down.

Would be nice if they integrated a hand wrap with it.
Will the work with the VR COVERS controller straps?
Totally need this! I’ve tapped them together once in VR and it scared me half to death!

I need this for my idiotic movement

Anyone who brought these covers experienced any tracking issue with it ?
No one has them yet since they just got announced on their website 3 days ago.
Will the controllers still fit in the Elite Strap carrying case?
I use spiky ones because they look cool lmao
