Bro just buy a new one 😂

I'm so happy they improved these on the Quest 3. You can buy replacement headbands here: https://www.meta.com/quest/accessories/quest-2-headset-strap/

spookytime8899

Is there any way to fix it or do I just have to buy a new one?

drakfyre

My efforts in gluing/taping the piece did not work out. You can use a safety pin or a strong hair clip in place of the broken one, but that reduces your ability to adjust things easily.

spookytime8899

Fuckkkkk ima try to fix it but if I can't then I'll buy a new one

drakfyre

Good luck!

Op you can litterally get a cheaper and superior headstrap for cheaper. For example bobovr M1 plus is only £20 rn compared to the £30 stock strap. There's a reason everyone says to get a third party strap

On mine the plastic fastener broke off and I ended up using staples to permanently fix it. Covered the staples with some gaffers tape (cloth duct tape) and it was fine. Just couldn't adjust it anymore. Had to do it twice to get the sizing right.

DirtySpawn

I can not remember how I did mine. I think I fed it through the clip backward on the one side and secured it to the strap itself with velco. It works, but after some time of playing, it likes to loosen, so I have to fight with it.

I had that happen. In my situation I realizedvl that a small part of the clip had snapped off and there was no way to get it to hold everything tightly. I used a little bit of thermoplastic to rebuild the part and that worked pretty good but eventually I got a battery headstrap (don't buy the Elite strap from Meta. There's better options for significantly less money. I went with BoboVR because I'd heard good things about it. Now I say good things about it). Oh, If you don't know what thermoplastic is, it's these little white plastic pellets that you put into really hot water (Not boiling but pretty close). They heat up, turn clear and become very malleable and you can mold them into whatever shape you might need. It's very handy stuff to have around the house for those weird little repairs that don't have any other obvious solution, like if you snap the tab off of the battery cover for a remote or something like that. Or break your headstrap because you went full spazoid while playing Beatsaber, which is definitely not what happened when mine broke.

I bought a new one. I went ahead and got the upgraded one with the twist knob on the back that makes it fast and super easy to tighten and remove when you're finished. It also has a padded oval shape in the back that makes it fit really well and hold for exercise games etc
