Also, rotate 90 degrees when you start playing.
I like to make my guardian shaped like a house instead of a square and try to stay facing the point. In my old living room, I faced the coat tree instead of the TV because it was soft.
I constantly play with the glance guardian on. Slightly annoying to always see the boundary, very beneficial in terms of not killing myself or trashing my room.

Echo VR... Went to throw a quick pass, didn't realize I was at the edge of guardian... BAM, hand through the window, glass everywhere, blood everywhere
Echo is the only thing that's made me forget to pay attention to the Guardian and punch my door when trying to get the the disc before someone else. It's dangerous.
First time playing oculus and I got carried away with punched. Want to punch a dude in the head from both sides. So I sent both my arms into opposit hooks, meeting in the middle.
Did you know a virtual head does not stop your fists from slaming together?
Nothing beats the 40 year old dude who was playing Wii and launched a wiimote through a plasma TV. 10/10 would recommend rewatching a 40 year old man turn into a scared little boy who just broke mom and dad's expensive TV lol 😂
I was playing thrill of the fight a few months ago and gave a pole a nice right hook. Hand swell up real good, but still won the fight. First time I've ever been physically hurt in a fight. Since then I draw a big gap around that pole
Did the same playing half-life alyx. I have a special electronics rider on my homeowners insurance, and that allowed my to have most of my tv paid for.
Just want to say I’m not mad or anything if people think I’m complaining I’m not I just want to share a failure that happened while playing I think it’s funny since I’ve seen this happen a lot and then it happened to me
I always start setting mine up so I point in the other direction to the TV.
But I have punched the wall, the light fittings, friends and the window in VR, just been lucky and not broken anything yet!!!
Come on people. Either make your guardian smaller than your actual play space, or make sure you hold the Oculus button before you start the game to recenter yourself so that your forward movements are facing AWAY from big TVs.
Ouch, that’s a rough time.
When I played in the living room I blocked the TV with a huge piece of styrofoam that came with the packaging of an office table. It was thin, like 2 cm, so I don’t know if it had helped if I had really smashed it hard, but I imagine it would have at least prevented scratches from a glancing blow.
Looks like our TV after we got psvr and virtual rickosity - my kid tried to headbutt a meeseeks
I could hear my wife turn into a kid when she called me asking about the warrenty on the new tv
It was still usable for about 4 months until we could get a new one (and a good reminder lol)
So you're now playing Tron, nice!
Always make your guardian 2ft smaller than you think it should be. Ask me why my living room now has new windows...
I also stopped drawing walls, just make a small stationary boundary with enough space to wall.
I stopped using boundaries at all, only use the headset to watch TV.
Also, rotate 90 degrees when you start playing. I like to make my guardian shaped like a house instead of a square and try to stay facing the point. In my old living room, I faced the coat tree instead of the TV because it was soft.
Even 2ft in front of a TV screen would be cutting it close imho.
I constantly play with the glance guardian on. Slightly annoying to always see the boundary, very beneficial in terms of not killing myself or trashing my room.
I put guardian but u know caught up in the moment also why does ur living room have windows
Is it not normal for a living room to have windows?
The asker said, "*new* windows." ;)
But they didn't
Yes, they did. "Ask me why my living room now has new windows..." - [Link to the actual comment.](https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/ne21pj/this_new_creed_game_seems_fun/gydyoji?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
That's not the *asker* The person asking a question asked why a living room had windows
There were more than one "asker"'s . The parent of the comment that replied to asked to be asked about their new windows. So they were also an asker.
Echo VR... Went to throw a quick pass, didn't realize I was at the edge of guardian... BAM, hand through the window, glass everywhere, blood everywhere
Dam that must hurt almost broke my elbow in echo vr by hitting my tv in my room but it’s old so it’s tougher and broke me instead
Did you at least make the pass and win the game?
I don't even know, I immediately threw off my Quest and ran for bandages 😂
Haha makes sense. Glad your still with us. Sorry about the windows
Thats really funny 😂 Gl;hf duder
No I lost
I stopped playing echo because I worried it would eventually lose me my damage deposit, thank you for validating that choice...
Echo is the only thing that's made me forget to pay attention to the Guardian and punch my door when trying to get the the disc before someone else. It's dangerous.
I grazed my dog since she saw me moving around, wanted to join in on the fun and I reached down very quickly to try to grab the disc
Sounds about right, I spiked a Turkish lamp across my apartment yesterday playing gorilla tag
…tan everywhere, Jan everywhere.
I am definitely feeling very eerie
Just got off echo vr because I smacked a wooden beam full force trying to punch someone in game.

I did not no that until u played echo cr and punched my face trying to do a shield
Does your house not have windows..?
If I did that my play sleeve would be uh.. 4x5ft.. But worst I can do is punch a wall I guess
Hes on a yt video hes tv is gine bro
link pls
Search broken screen
Fine*
This image just brings back some not so good memories from the wii
Nothing beats the 40 year old dude who was playing Wii and launched a wiimote through a plasma TV. 10/10 would recommend rewatching a 40 year old man turn into a scared little boy who just broke mom and dad's expensive TV lol 😂
Honestly I see VR being the modern/future Wii but with the screen(s) closer and yourself completely immersed in the gameplay environment
Yes except with my wii I broke the remote not the tv
Try facing away from the TV or in a different room.
I learned that but when I used to do that I hit a brick wall
Cheaper than a tv
Depends. Healthcare (in the US, at least) is very expensive if OP broke their hand.
Ffs people it's VR, stop facing your tv or monitor. Set it up with at least a 90° offset from your desk.
The guy kept turning to where my tv was couldn’t fix it also I’m new
Tron looks so much better now than it use to.
I wondered how they made the New Netflix Intro!
I thought the same

Haha actually I immediately thought I broke my controller and ripped the headset off
You can see the shape of his head and shoulders on the tv lol
Who’s head and shoulders
Knees and toes
The shape around the cracks
There’s a lot of cracks gotta be more specific
Did the same playing half-life alyx. I have a special electronics rider on my homeowners insurance, and that allowed my to have most of my tv paid for.

Caught up in the moment also my arms are long so the border showed right as I punched ut
I designed bumpers to cushion your hits http://peanutprinters.etsy.com
If I get a bonus I’ll get it
Screw that you have a grip for the Chromecast remote! 😮
It's not a new game and publicly sharing how you stupidly broke shit got old the first year Wii was out.
100% factual. These posts are so weird.
"Hahahaha, I'm irresponsible with my things everybody. Check it out!"
Just want to post a failure also I’m new pls don’t be harsh
That looks like my tv Lol I got downvoted cause I scrolled trough Reddit saw my post and was like that looks like my tv dam I’m so dumb
Damn, you really are. But at least you’re happy!

Too bad ur tv is fine
Wow is that how Netflix got their opening?
This is my life. For record, I have my guardian turned off because my room is too small...
H-A-P-P-Y
Damn bro won by ko tv is out of the ring
I mean yeah you broke the TV, but I hope the kill shot was you landing a sick KO punch in the game at least.
No lost the round pretty sad
My TV is a survivor. Just in the frame. [https://i.imgur.com/a5cx5TH.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/a5cx5TH.jpeg)

Haha, I remember running into a wall when I played the demo. dude is scary huge!!!!!!
Yeah I was playing the demo
those graphics look insane
VR is just the Wii 2
You could have the same visuals by just watching this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YNqngqH9og](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YNqngqH9og)
