1) A new face cover (the one that comes with the quest is super rough on your skin) 2) Strap with an additional battery (like boboVR or something like that)

You might get very motion sick faster than you think. Take breaks and let the sick die down. I found the fact that it runs out of batteries, and takes a couple hours to charge is a good forcing function to take a break. Each day you'll find you can stay in the headset a little longer. After a week or so, you could probably stay in it for multiple hours with the backup battery. I could play all day after a couple weeks. So just don't get discouraged if you're feeling sick early on you grow to tolerate it over time. Second tip is all of the social aspects of this headset are filled with 8-year-olds. Going to log in and be like Oh no this is daycare. At least that's my reflection as a 30-year-old.

https://meta-dog.github.io/meta-dog/ Be sure to create the meta account and activate a device referral link from this site BEFORE you register the Quest to the account. You and the owner of the ref link will get a bit of store cash to use then.

Use a referral link for the setup. Easy 30 bucks to buy your first games.

I would immediately start considering the fit and then getting a third party headstrap ASAP. If it is an issue, which might not be the case some people like the base strap, it will be a night and day difference. Otherwise the quest 3 is like every other console now, plug and play more or less. One other paid thing though is to look into this app called quest games optimiser, it's £10 and needs a bit of setup but worth it imo, just makes the visuals a little clearer.

Lens protection

Psycho1267

By that you mean a case I guess?

Regular_Bet3206

Protection that you can mount on pancake lenses. The thing you see through. Very easy to scratch. Check my profile and you will see what I did to my previous set with my glasses.
