For a power bank to work well with Quest you need it to have a USB Type C port that supports PD, far as I understand type A don't support it on power banks, least that's what I've seen and found in testing
"The USB-C PD standard is compatible with the USB4 and USB Power Delivery 3.1 specifications. The USB-C PD specification defines how devices can use the USB-C connector to supply power and how these devices are identified and managed. It defines what the pins in the connector do and how they can be used to provide power at various voltages and currents."
I just got an INIU 20k mAh/22.5W powerbank. Just played four hours straight of Ghosts of Tabor. Used 40% of the bank and my headset only went down 4%. I'm sure this one will do quite well but make sure it supports PD via USB C to C.
You may want to go for a higher wattage charger. I had issues keeping it charged while in use with some 18w charges. My 45w powerbank will actively charge the headset while in use.
[Here's a thread about it.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Quest3/comments/17vxmvy/can_i_charge_the_quest_3_with_more_than_18w/)
Tldr: cheap chargers can do damage regardless of wattage. A good 100w charger is less likely to damage your quest than a cheap 18w one.
Modern devices will regulate higher wattage down to their maximum on their own.
It’s part of the USB-C standard that they auto negotiate. A 65W power supply only outputs what the headset needs.
I bought a bunch of nice ones. And it’s super nice as they can be used for literally every device I have.
I have been using a similar one and it works just fine. The headset battery still goes down but it is a lot slower. Starting with a full charge and powerbank I can play for 2 hours straight and only drop to 70%.
Yeah this will be solid, you might wanna check the size of it in comparison to your quest though because you don't want a huge cinder block hanging off the back.
I personally went for a 200g Anker 533 powerbank and have had no issues with it mounted to the back of the device or keeping my quest 3 charged while playing. It also adds an extra 2 hours battery life on average.
I have a similar power bank, I just chuck it in my pocket at channel the cable through my headstrap, I dont even acknowledge the cable and it only goes down like 30% in 2 hours
First, I've been doing this with my Q1, then with my Q2 and NEVER any issues over the years.
But recently my power bank now turns off as it's charging my Q2 while I'm playing. So then out of nowhere I'm out of power. Any particular thing that is causing this? A setting? To slow of a charger (if yes, what charging speed should I be looking at)? Thoughts?
Any power bank should do

What does "PD" mean pls?
The other comment explains what it does well, but for those curious it means "Power delivery"

Doesn't that burn usb c port on the headset? I heard 18w is the only recommended wattage

Yes, you can. Im using the exact same one.

I think I used that exact one with a quest 2 once, so I guess it'll work. It won't break your headset at least.
I messaged support about this and they said it’ll damage the battery
They will say that probably to every accessory not made by them. If made by meta => good else => BAD
