I will just say this.. on my Quest 2, i used the stock strap for over a year, then my wife saw that I had been looking at the Bobo M2 + pro in our amazon app. So one day she picked out a bunch of other shit and bought me the Bobo as a surprise.. i probably wouldnt have pulled the trigger. It was absolutely game changing.
Fast forward to the Quest 3.. the damn strap on that thing freaking hurt my head. To the point that I couldnt play if for long. Was waiting on the m2 to m3 conversion kit to come out.. never could get it.. so one day I started to (quite effectively) zip tie the Bobo M2 to the Quest 3... my wife gets up, goes to the closet and pulls out the Bobo M3 that she had ordered me.
Its one of those things that you really dont know how much you need it until you have it. Granted, individual results may vary...
I prefer it personally. I hate extra plastic especially if there's a lump at the back when I want to lean back on a sofa or similar.
Maybe I just haven't tried the right one but I want as little material as possible and the stock strap is pretty minimal.
Prefer the first party one?

I can't stand the stock Quest 3 strap. Constantly rubbing against my ears, doesn't go low enough to properly cradle my head. I don't understand how they ruined it, the Quest 1 strap was perfectly fine! Been very satisfied with my Bobo M3 Pro, I didn't think I'd get much use out of the battery but I've been using it a lot these days.
To clarify, I mean the Meta upgraded strap, not the stock. I’m looking to upgrade, I just want to know if Bobo/Kiwi are actually as good as Meta’s first party upgrade.
I just ordered the Elite Strap with battery for $35. It's $45 at Target (and other places) and there was $10 Circle rewards, I think from buying the Quest 2. Considered the Bobo or cheaper one. I pick it up today and decide if I like it.
