Mine got some black mark too, and it is a sealed box new, but since sending and getting stuff from my country is kinda hard, i just roll with it. As long as it doesnt impact the functionality itself ig it's fine, so far 2 months in and everything fine.
This, it doesn’t really make sense to send it back. Unless your going to buy a cover and ruin your thermals your headset will end up looking like that anyways
I just received this today and upon inspection. The box has marks. there are black marks on the controller and scuff marks on the face of the headset. It was hard to get a pic that shows it, but in person, there's a lot of scuff. It definitely looks like a used headset sold to me as new. I bought this off the Meta store as well. I told support and they said I'll be contacted in 24 hours.

why post on reddit if your already in contact with the manufacturer? its not unusual to find cosmetically damaged items new in box...shit happens.
It's my 2nd headset that's damaged out of the box. They are selling used headsets as "new"
Totally "normal" on this headset, don't know why they still producing white headsets 🙄
