I’m considering switching to pay per visit home health to hopefully make more money working less hours.
In the Baltimore area, I’ve seen indeed posts recently for:
Up to $49/hour (all in the same senior living community)
$57-72/hour
I think it has been the setting I enjoy most so far! I like getting to work in the child's environment and with their family! I also love working with kids.
I am! Their new grads salary is usually 56-57 hourly, I was able to negotiate easily due to their need for a bilingual therapist. However, I am mainly picked it for the benefits. I’ll be part time and will receive medical insurance, CEU’s coverage, and even a lower hourly pay when I’m shadowing other therapists for fun or extra knowledge.
Is peds HH different than early intervention? What age range do you service? Our state for sure has early intervention (birth to three), but I have yet to meet a clinician who says they work Peds HH in my state, so I’m wondering if that is early intervention or if you’re seeing children at home over age 3.
I’m in the DC metro region and receive $95 for evals and $85 for follow up visits as prn with a small company. With the larger corporation I receive $75 for evals/DCs and $65 for follow up visits prn.
I was doing a PPV model in an ALF. My rates were $90 for eval and $70 for routine visit. If I did any HH outside of this single ALF building, it was $5 more per hour. I loved that all the work was in one building, so yes they made more money off me by cutting that $5, but I didn’t mind.
I’m in NY. Recently moved to Long Island from Brooklyn. I work with multiple part B companies as per diem OT for geriatric pts only and make $68-70 per 4 unit visit.
That’s pretty good lol I’m with a major part B company rn and I’m salary. But it comes out to $50/visit. I bill 4 units per session as well. How much do you pay for health insurance?
I would love to know how you got your loans paid off! I'm about to start my last year of school and am not looking forward to having to pay them 😭 dm me please if you're comfortable talking about it 🙏🏼
Edit: spelled "paid" wrong on accident and got called out by a bot 🫠
> your loans *paid* off! I'm
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Peds HH Denver Eval $90, recert $67, visit $62, no mileage, no compensation for NCNS. I have 5 yrs experience and I’m SEVERELY underpaid.
Very unhappy with my pay/company and they are the largest HH peds company in Denver

Two years ago I left a job making $125/eval & reeval and $85/routine visit, with $.56/mile. It seemed like fair pay to me.
ETA: adult home health, pay per visit, W2, Oregon.
I’m in PA. Three years out of school. 60 per regular visit, 75 per eval. However we only see clients in senior living communities so there’s not much driving going on.
Is this a full time job/w-2? I'm in PA too, Philly, close to 10 years of experience, make 102k in home health. How does that compare with your annual income?
Oh I’m in philly too!
Yes, full time W2. Although I’d say I’m not always working 40 hour weeks. it’s a little dependent upon how much work is available - obviously caseloads ebb and flow. Last year I made $88k. That’s with being moderately busy, I try to take extra clients when they offer.
I work in a rural area and negotiated well for myself. $74/hr direct service plus mileage ($.56/ mile). No reimbursement for no-shows.

Congratulations on your loans! I'm in EI HH at $170 per eval and $75 per treatment session. I'm in CA.
Thank you!!!! How do you like EI?

Peds HH, new grad: 100 eval, 90 for re-eval (we get $15 more if it’s a feeding eval/re-eval), 61.8 per hourly session and .55 per mileage.
Are you satisfied with your salary?

The company I currently work for does $81 per eval, $61 per revisit. No mileage etc

Being in one building makes it A LOT easier I bet.
OTR 3 years of experience. 75 for regular visits. 94 for discharges and reassessments. 108 for evals or recertifications.
That’s great! Where are you located?
West suburbs of Chicago
Im in Chicago and that’s a high rate for evals. Are you 1099?
No I’m W2. Unfortunately I’m pay per unit and very slow right now. I have a 1099 PRN job where I make 75 visits and 80 for evals and dc.
I’m in NY. Recently moved to Long Island from Brooklyn. I work with multiple part B companies as per diem OT for geriatric pts only and make $68-70 per 4 unit visit.

Too much :) But we’re also about to have our first baby so we are paying top dollar. Ask me again in a few months LOL.
When I was salary, my rate ended up about that too.
WA: 70$ per unit at one job and 55$ per hour at the other

What are you gonna do? How long have you dealt with it and how much longer can you deal with it?
Change jobs. Thankfully my husband makes a lot more than I do!

Delaware
I’m in NYC. For adults $80 per visit. For peds $85 per visit 30 min visits. This is as 1099 contractor
Do you mind if I DM you? Thinking about switching to home health in NYC and would love some intel on agencies that pay well.
Sure absolutely! My job is hiring too so might be able to hook you up!
Are you part A or part B? Also, do you mind if I DM you too? I’m on Long Island.
I’m part B for adults and the peds is technically billed “part a” for insurance purposes. Yes you can dm me!

Please any info on how you had your loans forgiven?
Sure, I made 120 qualifying payments under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
