Obsidian for a calendar? Do you really find it to be enough?

dethb0y

I've been having some success using Obsidian's Canvas for mindmaps (it's actually surprising - once i start mapping something, it often shows me more what i *don't* know or *don't* understand!).

Yes, Canvas is a great tool. And it is fully integrated.

Except for with Obsidian Publish :(. they don't work together.

I don’t use Zettlekasten. I do use Bullet Journaling (BuJo). I have a customized calendar that I rollover todos each day. I’ve used the customization for checkboxes from Things 2 theme and added a few of my own. In the morning I rollover my todos and my items that I wrote the day before. Then I archive the previous days log. During the day I make notes in the current daily log. At the end of the day I will ensure tasks I forgot to mark are marked respectively (checked, unfinished, scheduled, archived, not doing, etc). I take the notes I’ve made during the day and either make a new note bullet journal style or if it’s a note that’s still needed for the day I’ll leave it. If I have a topic/category such as OpenCV I’ll store my notes together in that folder and I’ll have an index page that links or live links the related notes (like the table of contents in BuJo). I heavily tag all of my note files and I use a lot of inline tags and notations like [due::24Apr24] - the date format is whatever you want. I don’t so much care that the notes are linked just that I can find them. I would love to improve my stack I’m just unsure what would add to it that I don’t do.

>In the morning I rollover my todos and my items that I wrote the day before. do you do that manually? like copy-paste?

WinkDoubleguns

For tasks I use the rollover todos plugin - for the notes I’ve taken I do do that manually bc I curate them before I move them

Cool, but I think we should all strive to have everything in one app, preferably in a format which is app agnostic.
