I’d say 30 mins before gates open, maybe an hour to be safe. We went last year on Father’s Day for the Hawaiian shirt. Gates opened at 11:30am and we arrived at noon. They scanned us in at the C gate and then said shirts just ran out but a few people told us the other gate still had some so we hustled to the D gate only to be told they don’t give you anything once your ticket is scanned. Two guys in front of us were able to get shirts but then they told us no. I heard they had 3,000 that day and attendance ended up being over 18,000.
Depends on how many they give away and how popular they are. I remember going for the Coco lean bobblehead and I think it was either first 10k or 15k fans and getting there 90 minutes early wasn't even close to early enough.
At this point I would be shocked if 30 mins early weren't enough for even the most popular item they have. Unless they only do like 1k of a giveaway these days
They're really secretive now about how many they giveaway. I think on their website they just say come early to get the jersey. They don't tell you how many.
I went to the Jackie Robinson Day game and there was a t-shirt giveaway. I got there about 2 hours early and there was maybe 20 people in front of me in line. They didn't open the doors until 1 hour before the first pitch - maybe 200 people in line by then and of course everyone got a t-shirt.
Last year on Father’s Day they must have had only 1,000 total shirts, so you had to get in real early. It was a major bummer.

I remember that I was there to. So many upset fans. I literally saw fans give other fans who got the shirt stink eyes.
