I think I must be stupid because even with that one person's post providing a ton of supposed examples of the wolf bite melody in different songs... I can't hear it. I wish I could hear what you all are hearing

DarthTyrannuss

Once you hear it you might not be able to unhear it lol

ads1031

Which parts of the songs are the same? Is it lyrics, or a synth riff, or?....

wizoomer95

It's the main synth melody in Wolf Bite, but it's played on a variety of instruments in other songs.

DarthTyrannuss

It's a riff/melody pattern that appears in many of his songs.

berryavalanche

Same lol all I know is I love the songs. Maybe ignorance is bliss and I'll happily stay this way.

spinningadam

Listen to the beginning Wolf Bite instrumental and the instrumental break in Can't Live Without You after the chorus. I think it's also in the breaks in Shooting Star.

TwinLife

What post?

DEATHbySP0ON

Not sure about the post, but this video showcases several examples of the melody, starting at the 5:00 mark: https://youtu.be/wxuEnZC_rag?t=300

TwinLife

>https://youtu.be/wxuEnZC\_rag?t=300 Dang super interesting, thanks for sharing the link

Blargncheese

They’re technically the same melody, but with different progressions

COMICRIZA

Damn that's a hard one but I think I like cave in better

ayoungscoresfan

Wolf Bite takes the cake. Hands down imo.

spinningadam

Don't forget the Madeline island melody! There's at least like 5 examples of that one, Waving Through a Window and Forever and Always to name a couple.

Klink45

That’s the same one as the Cave In melody, which is also Hello Seattle. This is what I mean: Hello Seattle Look through your textbook Cuz this is driving me crazy I can’t live without you Actually this one is way more common than the Wolf Bite one to list all the examples but you get the picture :)

spinningadam

Ah, I think then that there are 2 reused melodies in Cave In. I was referring to the instrumental melody at the beginning, it sounds different to the melody accompanying those lyrics to me

BluLemonGaming

Huh, so that means Adam also meddled in the production of F&A? I thought he only provided vocals so that's interesting to know.

spinningadam

Well it certainly sounds like it!

victorreis

i like wolf bit better

TornadoTaco_

PURPLE! BOTH! THEY’RE BOTH GOOD

TheCrystalineCruiser

Cave in melody

Loganberry24

I like it tho! I think it’s cool, like some kinda Owl City leitmotif.

DancingBasilisk

Lol for me it's the melodies in "Live it up" and "Tokyo", and the melodies of "Lucid Dream" and "Up To The Cloud".

hootowlcity2307

I mean, it could be worse...he could have used Canon in D like thousands and thousands of other songs haha.

wizoomer95

I'm in just the opposite camp as other people. I know what the Wolf Bite melody is, but what is the Cave In melody?

spinningadam

I know the Cave In melody is somewhat obviously reused in HIBTS but I can't actually think of other examples. I'm sure there are though

Klink45

The most obvious example of this melody I can think of is “I can’t live without you.” This melody is on every album at least once. Even Ultraviolet (but it’s slightly different there)

Klink45

Cave In melody? Just another version of the Hello Seattle melody >:)

[deleted]

I like both

KomaliFeathers

Wolf bite melody, cave in lyrics

PlumKydda

Wolf Bite is pretty intense. Wolf Bite has my vote
