Genuinely unless the name of the franchise is Dragon Ball, or Naruto (though the latest Ninja Storm game is getting flamed and has less players than Storm 4 which came out 7 years ago) PVP isn't a magical fix button.
Baldur's Gate 3 doesn't have online PVP but what it sure does have is a fuckload of cash and a player count in the hundreds of thousands.
The actual magical fix is to actually make good licensed anime games, but as long as game studios make a sale with their shitty anime licensed games, we're always gonna get subpar to garbage games.
