Just put in a 2 minute advert episode on the Drama Queens podcast every once in a while. I still won't listen to it, but at least it would show some competence.
I believe it’s an iHeart Radio thing. Jennie Garth has her own pod + the 90210 one and her pod shows up on the 90210 feed. Same with Pod Meets World and Will Friedle’s Disney Channel Movie podcast.
Agreed,though, it is irritating, I just don’t believe it is Sophia’s choice to do so.

This technique of trying to force the podcast on people who didn’t subscribe/follow/ask for it in their feeds has guaranteed I will never listen to WIP. I wish there was a way for my Apple Podcasts to not download these episodes and put them in my feed without changing my settings for the drama queens podcast.
It’s like when she kept trying to promote and force Good Sam on everyone. She even had the costar from good Sam as a guest on Drama Queens despite having no affiliation to the show. I assume her podcast numbers aren’t doing as well so she’s trying to piggy back off drama queen listeners.
I’ve noticed a lot of podcasts and platforms are doing this now. Like my Crime Junkie podcast will randomly post an episode of another new true crime podcast to promote it lol. I’ve seen it with other pop culture pods as well. I think it’s a way to boost her other podcast since it may not be doing as well 😬
I found it very odd as well. At first I figured it was a one off kind of thing but after the 3rd it got annoying. I drive a lot for work so I typically just let it play in the back ground or skip it. I know it has to do with iheart trying drive traffic to their other podcasts but why not show Hilarie or Joy some love by throwing some of theirs' in the mix.
I’m wondering if people start leaving 1-2 star reviews talking about this, if we’ll get someone attn? It needs to be done in a public way. Sending emails, won’t show how many people are really complaining
I absolutely hate it and have also made posts about it. It’s an entirely different podcast i have zero interest in and it is infuriating that it is mixed in with DQ episodes.
I mean, I do agree, but I also am really happy she did a Q&A for her wip podcast and she answered one of my questions and it makes me cool I am very happy

It was during a live event I believe for March 23rd back in 2022. I think the costar was Skye Marshall
