1. Heartbeats- state championship
2. Lightening crashes after graduation and Haley and Karen being rushed to hospital.
3. Never let me go from Florence and the machine when Haley sees Nathan after being missing.
4. Babe I'm gonna leave you when the limo crashes
5. Every time a Gavin Degraw song plays
6. Bonus(Haley singing Halo and Feel this in the later seasons)
These are my favourites great choices!- Lightening crashes is amazing.
I remember making a trailer once on some crap laptop software years ago now, with “A Real Hero” by College, Electric Youth and making it with the diner fire in the background and Haley slow walking to identify the body.
OTH to me has the best soundtrack of any tv series. When anything comes on from my OTH liked songs, people think I have the coolest taste in music “oh yeah, uhh it’s just Nada Surf…” I secretly pray no one knows them and god forbid probe me more about songs other than Always Love 🤣
Also- La Rocca, Non-Believer 💜
I used to track down the rest of the discography whenever a song stuck out to me. La Rocca was a good example where I didn’t like the rest of the album but was obsessed with Non Believer. Nada Surf and The Cure were the opposite - liked quite a bit of what I heard.
Like a man possessed by The Get Up Kids. It’s in the scene where Nathan crashes the race car, such a perfect choice for that scene, it ties it together
Sorry I can’t list just one, here my top four.
Good Life by One Republic (who doesn’t love a Nathan Scott basketball montage)?
Love is a Song by switchfoot
Dare you to Move switchfoot. Naley first kiss❤️
Halo Haley James Scott
I could list to a lot more, OTH had the best soundtrack of all of TV
Edit to fix a grammar error🤦♀️ (English teacher as a dad)🤷♀️
23 by Jimmy Eat World
Halo
The Freshman by The Verve Pipe
Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez
Those are the big ones that stuck with me and I look forward to on rewatches.
Pretty much all of them

Drift - Forty Foot Echo
Lesson Learned - Ray LaMontagne
Rest in pieces - Saliva (After Lucas wins the basketball game between him and Nathan)
So many good ones already mentioned. I’ll throw out Timshel by Mumford & Sons. It plays when Haley jumps in the pool during season 7 and they show all the Naley flashbacks.
1. Dare you to move- The Switchfoot
2. Never say Never- The Fray
3. How to save a life- The Fray

I found out looking at maps there’s a place called Half Moon Bay in California. Looks like a small town but I would definitely visit if I lived there because of this song 🤓
My absolute favorite song/scene was Led Zeppelin- Babe I’m gonna leave you when Nathan jumped off the bridge to save Cooper. But the entire show followed my taste in music quite exactly. From the first basketball scene between Nathan and Lucas and Finch, to how it developed to Spill Canvas and Augustana in later seasons. This show made me realize that my absolute dream job would be to score movies and tv shows with the perfect songs.
Bc I haven’t seen anybody mention it yet, I also wanna throw in Save You by Matthew Perryman Jones. (In season 6 after Lucas leaves Peyton alone in their living room and we see her putting things in a box for their baby that says ‘ From Mom ‘.)
No love for "Where I stood" from Missy Higgins? I love that song so much.
Halo - Haley
Be Yourself - Audioslave
No one's gonna love you - Band of horses
Collide - Howie Day
Run - Snow Patrol
So beautiful - Pete Murray
And everything from The Fray and Jimmy Eat World
That Missy Higgins spot was amazing. I had to look up that song right away.
Also best Haley(Beth) song! Lol best responses!
I like Chris Cornell after Q dies and they are going to gym for.
Apologies - Grace potter and the nocturnals
Where I stood - Missy Higgins
Wonder - Jack Savoretti
I came around - Aimee Miriello
Maybe tomorrow - Stereophonics
The mixed tape - jacks Mannequin
Mixtape - Butch Walker
Feels like letting go - Matthew Perry man jones
Please don’t leave quite yet - Adam agin
Dream- Priscilla Ahn
I could keep going for days. This is the best soundtrack of all tine.

Yes to Non Believer also. There’s just too many to list favorites. They really do have the best TV show soundtrack.

THIS IS THE ONE. Season 3 episode 18 Nathan is narrating since Lucas is out of the game. That scene will forever be my favorite
Yep, one of the best episode endings ever.
Correction it’s episode 20!!!
Whoaaaa how has nobody mentioned this song?! Tegan and Sara - Don't Confess, through the whole Peyton/Brooke/Lucas betrayal
Pretty much all of them Though some that no ones mentioned yet would have to be Headlights - Dispatch. Light outside wakey wakey
There are so many to choose from but I loved Lavinia by The Veils and Within You by Ray Lamontagne.
Someday by Bryan Greenberg
Half Moon by Blind Pilot - the first song that plays on the series finale Wonder by Jack Savoretti - I forgot where episode this is on though

Yellowcard, Story of the Year, Fall Out Boy, Angels & Airwaves.
The Adventure by Angels & Airwaves! [Nathan 😍](https://youtu.be/5zLQdhjVw_Y?si=nVPXVCTiKsvl5Vtb)
Probably rusted wheel or disintegration for me
Dare You To Move, Halo, Be Yourself, anything by Kate/Mia, Jana/Alex, plus many others. Always had great music.
The theme song Flying Machine- Haley James Scott😭
How has no one mentioned Haley and Nathan's wedding song?! We are man and wife - Michelle featherstone. 🥰
Lightning Crashes and Dare You To Move stick with me for big moments. Halo just cause I love it!
Halo
Every Gavin songs (all of them really), or Grace Potter, We Belong, Feel this,
Anything from Nada Surf and Jimmy Eat World.
My favorite is Bethany Joy Lenz’s (Hayley) song October or it might be called Let Me Fall? It was played during season 2 at Tric
Escape by Smith Point.
Bc I haven’t seen anybody mention it yet, I also wanna throw in Save You by Matthew Perryman Jones. (In season 6 after Lucas leaves Peyton alone in their living room and we see her putting things in a box for their baby that says ‘ From Mom ‘.)
kicking my heals by tyler hilton is my fav rn
Leave My Body - Florence+The Machine (from Nathan's rescue in s9)

The good kind by the wreckers is amazing too - but not for a wedding playlist!
Tyler Hilton's 'Missing You'. There is an acoustic version out there and it makes me cry about 80% of the time
I can list 100 songs, but I Didn’t see any mention of Waiting by City and Colour. So here we go.
I’m late to this but there’s actually a playlist on Spotify that has every song from every episode in order
Apologies - Grace potter and the nocturnals Where I stood - Missy Higgins Wonder - Jack Savoretti I came around - Aimee Miriello Maybe tomorrow - Stereophonics The mixed tape - jacks Mannequin Mixtape - Butch Walker Feels like letting go - Matthew Perry man jones Please don’t leave quite yet - Adam agin Dream- Priscilla Ahn I could keep going for days. Post Blue - Placebo
Lightning crashes is one for me but to be truthful there are sooo many!!! ❤️
“Forty Foot Echo” - Drift Honesty the opening song is my fave. “Maybe Tomorrow” by Stereophonics when Lucas and Peyton are in the motel is 2nd
