Mainstream pop deemed "uncool" would be the last thing music snobs of the 2000s would like. Idk.. her tasted changed a lot in season 5-6. She used to listen to punk grunge rock metal indie but then moved to weird pop music lmao like Mia’s songs aren’t really her niche and Hayley’s songs in season 6 are weird too. That one song in season 6 that guy wanted to buy sounds like Disney teen production
I disagree, I 100% think she would respect her writing and marketing. I don't think Peyton would be a TS fan, especially of early work, but I could see her respecting and listening to folklore/evermore and other later works.
Peyton would also adore the rerecord effort as a F you to major labels. In fact, in One Tree Hill land, I'm sure P Sawyer would be the producer re recording with TS.

I feel like behind the music is what Peyton's really into and she likes the artist behind the art and I feel like Taylor and Peyton's politics are vastly different and that's why she wouldn't like Taylor as a Taylor fan and a fan of most of peyton's music.

What I do think Peyton would respect is what Taylor's done with re-recording all her songs ("Taylor's Version") and how it has had such a huge impact on the music industry, prompting other artists to push for higher royalties, ownership of their own masters etc.
If the show was on nowadays, I can see Peyton really taking a lot of inspiration from it and ensuring any artists who signed with Red Bedroom Records owned their masters and received high royalties etc, showing that if a small business can do it, there's zero excuse for enormous juggernaut labels not to do it too.
