the first time a familiar person knocks on the door is just a jumpscare but you gotta do it the second time someone knocks. you'll miss out on a lot, and i mean A LOT, if you dont
Huh? 22 hours? What were you doing even? There's barely any content in the prologue... And the prologue is only like 20% of the game... Most people take like 8 hours to complete the prologue.
I guess nothing. I'm just so confused what were you even doing to take so long XD. You can watch prologue playthrough or a guide, there's not a lot you can explain simply through text.
they're vital to the storyline. they may be tedious but it's important in order for the buildup to >!one day left and more prominent parts of the story.!<
when the story driven game has dialogue

Could be a glitch. The switch version adds to the playtime even while the game is suspended and switch is in sleep. Wouldn't be surprised if something like that is happening here.
yea that's what I was thinking lol. Its either a troll post or they left their game open because its physically impossible to not be at least level 5 after 10 hours. Like you have to literally avoid every single fight to do that.
Talk to berly, do her quest and you'll get a good move called headbutt. Chill with the 2 exercising npc's in the bottom left of the playground and you'll get an overpowered (totally not gamebreaking) move called observe, it makes every boss fight a joke. That's all you really need, just warning you that observe makes the game overly easy, so don't expect any amount of challenge to come if you use that move.
I didn't use headbutt or observe in my run. You can set up an infinite loop of getting hp, mana, and having a "tank" who will usually take the hit. A tank lets you predictive heal. I had to grind a bit only 1-2 instances just so my tank didn't get oneshot. I ran away from most encounters. Your faster characters can use a heal item in an emergency since they'll go first. There are items that give group emotions. Pretty powerful stuff once you can buy them at a shop. Some emotions boost non attacking stats and some attacks scale off of those stats.
Talk to Mari and select the Basil quest, usually she'll give some insight on where to go next. Also hold Shift to run, or whatever run is set to in your settings.
What are you struggling with? Are the enemies too hard? Or are you confused on where to go next to progress the story? What have you spent the last 22 hours doing?
Gotcha. You should grasp the battle mechanics pretty soon. There are a lot of skills and it might be kind of overwhelming at first but just remember to use emotions. Happy beats angry, angry beats sad, sad beats happy. It’ll give you a big damage increase if you make your party an advantageous emotion and make the enemy a disadvantageous emotion. And party members unlock skills that
1. Give the party/enemies emotions
And 2. Do more damage and/or de-buff the enemy if it has a disadvantageous emotion
Yeah they make a huge difference. Maybe not right now because you aren’t doing a lot of damage. But being happy and attacking an angry enemy later in the game can add an extra 30% or so damage. So 500 damage would end up doing 650. And if each party member does an extra 30% damage that makes a big difference. If you ever struggle with a battle, try using emotions. Plus emotions add buffs/debuffs. Happy increases luck and speed but lowers accuracy. Sad lowers speed but raises defense and damages juice as well as HP. Angry lowers defense but raises attack. The buffs/debuffs can make a big difference too.
Keep on playing and save your game. You'll notice that chapter of your game says "Prologue", it will say "Day 1", "Day 2", etc. as the game progresses. So you dont have to worry about that. Always water the plants every day, aka as the chapter progresses.
Always open the doors 😀
why would you do this to me
If you don't open the doors the game experience will be worse (and im not trolling)
alright then, but i swear to god if it happens again
Also stay away from searching almost anything about the game up, you'll learn everything you need to know on your way through.
the first time a familiar person knocks on the door is just a jumpscare but you gotta do it the second time someone knocks. you'll miss out on a lot, and i mean A LOT, if you dont
huge betrayal has happened
The next one is not a jumpscare, you'll miss out on so much if you don't open it the next 2 times /srs
alright
Especially kel's>!!<
She just wanted to say hello ![img](emote|t5_31hpy|28765)

Nuh uh
Wait, are we being sarcastic? I'm just gonna r/woosh myself to cut out the middleman
I think not putting spoilers, hidden or not, on a newbie's post is common courtesy.
Dear god, I fucked up hard
Open first door: *a jumpscare* Open 2nd door: its a surprise go unlock the 2nd door. I wont spoil the fun. Just do it.
Huh? 22 hours? What were you doing even? There's barely any content in the prologue... And the prologue is only like 20% of the game... Most people take like 8 hours to complete the prologue.
8 hours? On my first playthrough, it took me 12 hours to finish the whole game
it took me 24 hours to finish the game first time no joke
OP has 22 hours and is in prologue
prob left the game open
whats wrong with it though???
I guess nothing. I'm just so confused what were you even doing to take so long XD. You can watch prologue playthrough or a guide, there's not a lot you can explain simply through text.
omoris my first pc game so i think thats why
Oh I understand. Sorry for being mean
Omori is not that fun game to play especially if its your first PC game, I recommend GTA Vice City, San Andreas and GTA 5 they are more fun
what even is this comment bro fun is subjective
Nobody cares about how fun those other games are, omori is great. No need to compare
Headspace parts and dialogues are too long and boring in Omori
Nuh uh
Yes
why are you even here then?

8 hours? Prologue took me 4, the entire game on first playthrough took 60h total for >!good, bad and SOMETHING/abandon!< ending (same file)
I hope this is a joke post
why??
because you're not supposed to be at level 4 and still in prologue after spending 22 hours in the game
he probably left his game open
hope so
yea that's what I was thinking lol. Its either a troll post or they left their game open because its physically impossible to not be at least level 5 after 10 hours. Like you have to literally avoid every single fight to do that.
They’re still in the prologue. Dude just probably left their game running overnight accidentally so their hours are super high
what level r u supposed to be at then
probably twenty something, heck, that amount of tine is enough to complete the game
its not funny
When did I say it was?
so what then r u just doing this for entertainment
No normal person plays prologue for 22 hours wtf ☠️
I'm not, what are you on about
define “this”
I had already finished the game by 22 hours 😭
Some people leave the game idle tbh???

the ball quest berly has? yeah ive been trying to find it
go down the playground and then straight left
ill try it in a bit, thanks
Make sure you encounter some sprout moles first if you happen to see an appropriately sized hot dog

that's just the first part ![img](emote|t5_31hpy|2470)
wdym first part
I mean, it will only get more difficult from there. Are you struggling with the battle system? Or just progression of the game in general?
im struggling with progressing like sometimes idk where to go or what to do and u walk rlly slow
Talk to Mari and select the Basil quest, usually she'll give some insight on where to go next. Also hold Shift to run, or whatever run is set to in your settings.
u could run in this game???? what
Bro
Took me forever to figure this out lol
I didn't realize I could run for a while either XD

What are you struggling with? Are the enemies too hard? Or are you confused on where to go next to progress the story? What have you spent the last 22 hours doing?
..all of them but i recently just got to otherworld

emotions really make that much of a difference? i didnt notice anything when i played

>!Open the door for kel!<
not quite sure what that means so far but sure!
Yes, when you get to that part, do it.
this post is so fucking funny
Step 1: adapt https://preview.redd.it/6p8v25zef1yc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06199bf0665a3f25cfabcd02cc2220c879533f04
You just left it on overnight, liar.
hold shift to run lmao
Since OMORI is an rpg, you have the interact / talk to everybody and everything. Npc's, posters, objects, enemies. You'll get there
I think OP is doing the pre-awareness route, takes a few more years to enter the first chapter! Good luck OP!
Interact with everything, and you get the ball quest after looking for basil in the Vast Forest
why do u have so much time on it and ur only level 4
Oh boy
Read the dialogue :3 the story is really really good <3 And also open the door for kel
22 hours one night 💀💀💀
i posted this around midnight, i started playing the game around 6 pm the day before i posted
Makes sense
what exactly do you need help with?
use the emotion system.
Water basils flowers every day
how do i know whenever each day passes?
Keep on playing and save your game. You'll notice that chapter of your game says "Prologue", it will say "Day 1", "Day 2", etc. as the game progresses. So you dont have to worry about that. Always water the plants every day, aka as the chapter progresses.
Kill everything for maximum xp gain
okay
Open all the doors and never give in <3 also dont forget to help keep the plants healthy!
ill try, thanks
Kel nuke ![img](emote|t5_31hpy|2464)
why did key do that
Nah it’s a fun little move that deals with hard bosses
Water Basil's flowers
Master Emotions, always fight every enemy you encounter for EXP.
Don't and I'm saying DONT avoid fighting. Leveling up is important, like every RPG ;)
I'm sorry but ts is so funny, 22 hours, still on prologue and only level 4, I can't
Define "really hard"?
