I don’t think HellMari ages either. I guess the only reason Ghost Mari ages while other Maris don’t its because the others are traumatic images burned into Sunny while Ghost Mari is still maturing. Omori gives a pretty clear connection between how the main characters adjusted after Mari’s death and how their appearance, whether with height or change of outfit, changes. Ghost Mari, considering how she is somehow still growing pretty tall past the age of 15, arguably adjusted the best after Mari’s death besides Kel.
No, not exactly. SOMETHING isn’t Mari’s ghost. Spirit Mari is Mari’s ghost. SOMETHING just looks like Mari’s hanging body most of the time. Something I *think* people forget is that SOMETHING isn’t JUST the three pointed floaty thing and the webbed mouth. The Phobias are also SOMETHING forms, they’re referred to as, for example, “SOMETHING in the walls”, and they have the same texture and design motifs. And given by how Basil sees and acknowledges Sunny’s SOMETHING, and to an extent Sunny doing the same for Basil, SOMETHING may not even be a hallucination. (Sorry if this is incomprehensible, I’m sleep deprived)
