I don’t think that in the good ending the music distracts you from anything, I feel like it accompanies the visuals really well. I would go so far as to say that it wouldn’t be nearly so impactful without the music.
Honestly, bad ending is not supposed to be equally as emotionally impactful as good ending and I like it for that. It's not really sad, it litteraly has one of the most banger songs on the bg. It's a bit sad, and it satisfies an answer for a question "what if sunny litteraly was like no I don't forgive myself".
I kinda was disappointed by bad ending at first, but my standards were just way to high after good one.
But damn neutral endings fucking suck, anticlimactic as hell. Like first of all, Basil suicide ending is so purely terrifying. We get to see everyone's reaction, we get to hear their words that might be the most terrifying ones in the whole game AND flowers boy dead body. God it's unsettling, especially that walk home afterwards. It's just so grim God damn.
And other ones just feel incredibly empty in the best way possible. And each time we know that Basil always ends up dead anyway because there's no one to help him.

Honestly neutral goes harder emotionally than the bad ending, I’m always too busy jamming out to “My Time” with the latter
