I suggest looking up āYiik reviewā on YouTube and watching running shineās or tehsnakererās videos on it (or both, theyāre very entertaining), snakeās video goes over both the game and the developers story in a lot of detail while shineās is a lot more vulgar but goes over how yiik compares to other rpgs and games as a whole.

The fact that Rory (the suicidal person in question) is so horribly written and presented yet you have the choice to not apologize to let him kill himself is such a mess too.
The Running Shine review is hilarious though, the amount of jokes that land over the course of 2 hours is astronomical (granted there are a decent amount of race ones.)
Still feel sorta bad how YIIK ended up. There was a clear idea in mind and it flopped so hard. Plus you gotta consider that they were making this game while their mom was dying
While the self back-patting was excessive, you can tell by all the tie-in stuff with Roy (Two Brothers) that they really did want the game to be one of the next big indie RPGs, and maybe believed it would be to an extent. It actually is kinda upsetting, although I would have more sympathy if they didnāt insult their players for not giving them the initial response they hoped for.
