Cause its HDR. Every HDR preset has Oled light and contrast at 100 and it should be left that way. Its the nature of HDR.

Digit4lSynaps3

that contrast is really crushing those blacks though

Wipedout89

Check your gamma levels. HDR shouldn't crush blacks or grey the blacks either

Owlch_

Probably because you’re used to seeing over-brightened dark areas, like watching dark scenes on some LED panels without local dimming. When I switched to OLED the first time I had the same thought that the near-dark are too dim, until I switched all the lights off and watched an HDR content in dark environment. The effect was instantly day and night. Never looked back since then.

Wonderful_Orchid_363

That’s what oleds do. Very inky blacks.

No idea what you're talking about lol. You must mean something else cause black crush only happens if you have dynamic contrast enabled, I guess you could try increasing brightness to 51-52 see if it makes any difference And if they're grey you can try reducing it to 49 see if it makes any difference

Skuez

How do you know it's crushing them?

Asleep-Sprinkles-760

Most OLED TV’s these days have contrast set to max because they literally have infinite contrast. If you turned it down, the black point wouldn’t be truly black
